I stopped by for the review and stayed for your playing. You are a great guitarist and you have a new subscriber. Quick question. I own a 38 inch Lava Me 3 and and was going to upgrade and get the new 41 inch Spruce. I heard you mention in the video that the Carbon fiber has better effects because it has a more powerful chip. Would you buy a spruce knowing the effects are better in the carbon model? Thanks for any advice.

Great video, thanks for the info!
I perform live musical comedy (currently with a Lava Me 2) and very keen to upgrade - I don't need to sound particularly great given it's just comedy shows, but from your experience, how clear would you say the Lava Me 4 Carbon is for smaller venues, such as a small pub with 30-40 people?

Carbon fiber is the best it won't warp in the heat or cold is the screen water proof in case it starts raining.

Wow, awesome. I ordered the Lava Me Play today because im a beginner, playing for about a Year on mostly Classical Guitars. Now i want to play on an Acoustic Guitar and i was about to order a Guitar with Amp and stuff, then i saw the Lava Me Guitars and im in love.
Im trying to find as much Videos as possible and i found yours and it was very helpful. Thx for that.
BUT... now im really worried because your Video was the only one i could find where you clearly hear the difference between the Play and the Spruce Version.
The Play sound really flat and nearly no Bass Sound against the Spruce and that makes me a bit sad about my Choice. It is really noticable in your Video. Makes the Play sound very cheap and like a Toy somehow. I love the white Design of the Play, the Top of the Spruce makes it look a bit weird and cheap in my opinion, but in the End its the Sound thats more important right ?
Is the Sound difference really that much? What is your Opinion and do u think im gonna be happy with the Play or should i return it and get the Spruce ?
The more i watch this Video it looks like the Play has nearly no Bass Sound at all compared to the Spruce and the Carbon one. Makes the Play Sound like a Toy :/
Thx dude, Greetings from Germany !

For the record you can play the lava me guitars with nylon strings like a classical guitar because the sound is picked up from a mic.
If you’re looking for the best LAVA guitar, you want the ME4 Carbon. It has a high end audio processing chip(SHARC) which allows more complex effects.
The spruce sounds more like a traditional guitar. If you want an in between pricewise between the play and the $999 ME4 Carbon, the “Blue Lava” is a good choice. Has the same electronics and a more traditional guitar shape, and is only about $100 more than the play.
Personally if I were gonna shell out $800 for the spruce, may as well go all the way and get the Carbon unless you really really prefer a wood guitar.

Also with these guitars the effects are your friends. Any shortcomings can be fixed with the effects and there is also an equalizer in the sound settings . So if you don’t think there is enough bass, you can actually fix that. I really feel like this tech can make pretty much any guitar sound great. Put on some reverb and chorus to counteract the low resonance HPL and play with the EQ settings and you’ll find a sound you like.

@@jacobcarrizales427 hey man. Thank you very much for the Answers. Im gonna be honest with you, i wont pay 1000 Bucks for a Guitar like this. I just got the Play today ! My Fingers already hurt from all the testing :D A little Review: The Sound for being what it is is really not bad at all. But I feel like it is a little to low in overall Volume. Im mean without the Speaker being activated ! You can clearly notice the HPL and the small Hole the Sound comes thru. But it is ok considering the Price and the Package you get for it. One thing is very important to know, wIth the Speaker activated, you only get a bit louder Sound thru the internal Speaker when the Freeboost Option is activated in the Audio Settings but it doesnt Sound really that good. Makes the Bass a bit muddy and not that clear sounding anymore. And the EQ you mentioned... it would be really awesome if you could activate and modulate the outcoming Sound of the Freeboost Technology with the EQ Settings. But unfortunatly you cant. The EQ is ONLY for the Line out System. Means when you connect the Guitar to an external Speaker and Amp or when you have Headphones connected. I was also a little bit dissapointed when i connected the Guitar to an external Bluetooth Speaker. I thought that the whole Sound you play gonna get picked up by the integrated Mic and come out of the connected Bluetooth Speaker. But no, it doesnt. The Only Sound coming out of the Bluetooth Speaker is the Operating System Sounds while you navigating through the Menus and your Recorded Stuff. I was hoping that i ca play and listen to what i play on my Home Speaker System via Bleutooth. So i have to connect it thru a Cable in the traditional way. Playing with the Effects activated is really cool, exactly like you said, it just makes your playing Sound much better and little fails are less noticable with a Reverb for example. I also wish that the little Build in Speaker was a little bit bigger and better sounding. It looks and feels like a Speaker the Teddy Bear of my little Nephew has build in to speak :/

I’ve read the Lava Me 4 comes with a lot of problems, requiring a lot of customer service dependency. Has this been your experience? I also read it doesn’t work without an internet connection and requires the player to “log into” the guitar with a username and password… is this true? If so, is it possible to get the functionality from the guitar without giving up personal information and passwords?

So you took the money and read the supplied script ? Too much of this nonsense on youtube these days. Every guitarist knows how bad these things are, I mean come on ! Happy you made some cash, but this 'review' is trash, like the product lol.
