Love your work and I have learned so much from you, thanks for sharing your knowledge as I'm a new self discovered painter who lives in arms reach of the ocean. Keep doing what your doing...your an inspiration to me and many!!
Pleasure Alan. I grew up in Mousehole and Newlyn and enjoyed watching some fine artists but your work is of a very special quality. Great skill akin to E John Robinson.
Really beautiful. The violent presence in this painting is exciting and to me relaxing at the same time. Fantastic painting and so fascinating to watch how you brought it to life along with the sea sounds and strings in the back ground. I am going to try my hand and use your methods and techniques very soon in my 2nd ever oil painting :-) thanks for the video
I felt sea sick watching this, lol! Amazing work. Don't you just love to paint, I do? In your own wee heaven where time stands still. Nothing beats it. :)
Alan, your work is so beautiful and inspiring..... you put a huge smile in my heart. Thank you for sharing your talent and the gorgeous music. The ocean must be one of my loves in life, never can get enough of that. Do you ever paint Caribbean seascapes? Thank you again for sharing your talent with us the ungifted paint dabbers like me who only dream of painting. God bless
Thank you Gaby , I only tend to paint the seas around me in Cornwall. Mind you on a very exceptional day when the water is crystal clear it could be the Caribbean ,,,,well sort of ;0)
wauw this is the most realistic seascape i have ever seen, one question, when using oil paint should i each put my pencils in a quickdryer and then on the canvas? i don't know how to paint with oil THX in advance
OH MY GOSH. this is beautiful. it looks. so ..perfect..yet not like a cheesy perfect scene like you see in typical seascapes now days. looks really good . seriously. props fella. ill be keeping my eye on your channel! :)
I usually have no plans from the start and build it up as I go ,,,i dont think or plan the foreground of the painting until i get there . I have developed this little knack of looking at and using what is going on in the painting as I work it .Takes a bit of practice but it will come .;0)
This is really tremendous. Can you tell me about the brushes you are using? Flat or round, or what, and what size? I've got my Surfer's magazines and my courage, but still collecting technique...Thanks.
Simply beautiful. I always wondered how that to get effect in my seascapes. Now that I have found you, I am sure that I can improve, especially on my present painting. What kind and size of brush are you using? None of my tiny brushes hold paint like yours does.
Hi Mate ,, If the paint is too thick when i start the painting I thin it with Liquin to help it spread,,,but dont add too much at this stage as it will not blend too well ,,just add a little medium to make it move better. I use liquin in all other stages of the painting . Hope this helps.;0)
How do you do Alan?!?!?!? Every your tuto, for me, is a surprise... So beautiful, for color and originality.....I repeat, ☺️, Stunning!!!!!! 🙋♀️Good evening....

Alan, where does the recording of the waves come from, I assume its separate from the music. It certainly adds to the atmosphere of the work
