She wasn't underrated in the 90s. You couldn't turn the dial and not hear one of her songs. The underratedness of women in country is something old and recent. The 80s and 90s was filled with country women singers.
I make this observation with no intent on causing controversy. The Judd's seemed to have over shadowed others , Wynonna's "growl," along with the iconic Naomi's country royalty status seemed to have over awed genre fans. MCC growl, well I still listen and enjoy. Shut Up And Kiss Me = MCC! 😎💕MCC

She was good and a lot of her music is hard to find on the radio stations here in Pennsylvania, I miss hearing this stuff . Kind mid to late 90’s , nostalgic for my late adulthood. Pre - Baby , and life was interesting still., ( it got harder , but it’s all about being a parent. ) yet , still I’m browsing through RUclips for this music. Crazy , yes, but when you really want to hear pure CM , you gotta go searching.

I miss it too. I was in my 20's back in the 1990's, and when I think about my current age, (52), it makes me realize how much time has passed. It makes me feel old! And today's so-called " country music," for the most part, sucks! In my opinion, the 80's and 90's were the two best decades for country music. What the heck happened to this music genre?
