Because it is a ring martial art like boxing which is used like real fight, unlike other martial arts which are just arts to showcase like taekwondo and kung fu for examples.. These martial arts are not be used in ring for their practice. Thats why

Knee to liver is 1 month of pain

head kick KO takes about 2-3 days for the vertigo light headed feel to go away dont ask me how i know 😢
but liver shot KO takes 4-6 days for the sensitivity go away to fully recover probably around 1.5 weeks

Man the knees are to be reconded with. I got creamed in Hawaii by a street fighter that knew a lot more about violence than I did. The knees work. Especially when they make contact with the liver. Instant long lasting pain. These Muay Thai people are dangerous. You have plenty of options with this art. The elbows are impressive as well.
Train learn from mistakes then if ever s Hawaii scenerio happens again u be able to drop him with spinning elbow tomahawk elbow n flying knees PS don't forget your wrestling n grappling training
@@dalroache wrestling and grappling in general are extremely helpful in streetfights. As most of them start standing up and end on the ground. Knowing your way in the clinch and on the ground is important if the fight lasts a little longer than a minute or so.

I noticed that the majority of these knee finishes were fights that ARE NOT in the “Golden era”. Why do you think that is? Is it because of difference of skill between fighters? Change in technique within the sport? Change in the rules?
Knees are mostly thrown in clinches.
The golden era was known for not being so clinch-heavy

The refree will break if u both hand touch the ground or body lay on the groung but in time on transition u can let the weapon.
Thai ref almost use the leg to block if someone fall to.the ground

Anonh lithsenevang because mma has lots of wrestling, Muay Thai is all about the stance and balance which is why they stop fighting when on the ground. A skilled Muay Thai fighter could hold in a mma fight but I think people who are good at wrestling and moves that lock you would win. Muay Thai is more of an art.
