The audio doesn't seem to be completely synced with the video but it doesn't sound like playback. There are some differences to the studio version and the crowd can be heard in the backround
@DonnySN the DVD was edited with the approval of Van Canto so there is no way they didnt know about it - hence the previous comment - i was just assuming in that comment that other people knew van canto knew about the DVD being made about them and the content contained within...
@DonnySN not the actual editing process - no, they wud have got others to do that, but they wud've seen it before it was sent off for sale - it was their live performance afterall.. and i agree they wudnt lip sync in a concert - they're not pop stars

@DonnySN Plus also, what alotta people fail to realize is there might be a MINIMAL difference in the sound of studio and live version as they might now use alotta the studio electronics-crap to make them 'sound good' too.
It could be an echo. If you listen in the beginning when the girl is talking, it echoes as well. I don't think it's difficult to get the same vocal timber and tone when you sing. I mean, they do it for a living. The timings are very easy to get down, even I have memorized them. So I don't think i's playback. :) But yes, it sounds TOO good to be live. :D
@MrFireloveswater No offense (as I love van Canto more than Blind Guardian), but I've a feeling ANY band that went to Eurovision with "The Bard's Song" as their presentation would win it handily.
@Swwatter I think you will find that its lip synced because thelive recording was shit so they had to dub it over for the DVD, at the concert they were actually singing

I was there in 08, i saw them and for heaven sake, they did this live...
those guys are gods ! When Blind Guardian sig this song it's beautiful. But when they do it, only with theire voices, it's godlike
