@derkooze1 actually the term was Jerry's and surely 67 years is long enough to move on from a war that hardly anyone remembers??? - the germans have so much to offer and this band is a shining example of such.
I don't know why he said that, but believe me: the germans didn't, and will never forget ww2... There's hardly any subject in school, where you don't talk about it every schoolyear, There are Holocaust memorials in almost every city and you cannot say anything against a foreigner here, without being called racist, even if there is a reason. I think, the germans still feel even more ashamed than necessary.
@bodgely They said on their homepage that they wouldn't do it, because it would sound more like discopop and not like metal and it would be a shame to have the drummer in the band without letting him do the drum parts :)

@bodgely Thats pretty much impossible to simulate a drum kit with your mouth, mind you thats what i said about doing a guitar solo...if they can pull it off ill be very surprised, but somehow i dont ever see it happening.
I agree the band and Germany are awesome, but to forget the war like that would be a massive slap in the face to it's veterans and would be spitting on the graves of those who died in it. it's a part of the world's history, admittedly a dark one but that doesn't mean we should just brush it off.
Idk, the Middle East is still pretty hung up on shit that happened before WW2. A ton of Americans are... England is... France is... Just because they refuse to teach it even happened in Germany doesnt mean it didnt. However, I agree, we shouldn't let a war stop us from all gathering on RUclips to enjoy a song by a great band. Germany does have a lot to offer and I suggest we all see what we all have to offer.

Its really sad that the japanese refuse to take the responsibility of what happened back then. The Rape of Nanjing (which is remembered in Germany mainly because of John Raabe) is such a thing but also the atrocities of Unit 731 commited.

If Metallica should put 50% of this band effort I would listen them today. VanCanto are one of pioniers of music in general.
