First thing I noticed was the speedometer has been moved to the center...nice. My first new/4-stroke/650cc bike was a 1971 Thunderbolt in green/white, always wanted to add a tachometer (standard on the Lightning 650) to "balance the look". It sounds exactly like the one I owned but the '69 looks more like the earlier Hornet 650 which was popular when I was maybe 15 years old. Each of the 3 British 650s/750s had their own sound: BSA, Norton, Triumph. Ocasionally a Royal Enfield would motor by, (actually rarely)and we'd argue over what it was 😊
That is one gorgeous motorcycle Fuzzy!
It really is!

Beautiful sounding machines for sure 🙂
Prime those Amals, twist the wick, then give it a kick, and boogie on down the highway! I had a 68 years ago and loved it. Beautiful machine. Seeya
