I remember as a teen drooling over Triumphs and BSA’s that I would read about in the cycle magazines!!! Got a Triumph 500 Trophy as my 1st road bike! I did always love the Thunderbolt though!!! ❤👍😎
@@garysavich5073 after my 1st road bike (Triumph Trophy 500) I ended up buying a used Yamaha XS 650 and loved it sooo much I traded it in for a brand new-off the showroom floor Black XS 650 from Pops Yamaha Dealership in Walden NY!!! GREAT BIKES!!! Agree it’s a great size. I now ride a Sportster 883 everyday to work…At 71 yrs old 😁
I sure wish they would gin up a retro version and add one of these with the “new gold star”. Thunderbolts were my favorite-looking bike at the time. This reminds me why. wow.
There was a time that BSA/Triumph was the world’s biggest supplier of motorcycles. If you like this bike, try to arrange a ride on a (good) BSA Super Rocket, this bike’s daddy. With pre-unit constriction, it had a longer stroke than the A65 and was a sweeter ride all round. Also. Try your Tbolt with a straight bar as fitted to some Nortons. Gives you a forward lean just enough so the wind supports your trunk’s weight. Here in the old country we like to ride faster than you guys in the USA, hence our bikes are set up for faster riding. Very, very exilarating.
So, Baxter Cycle had two Super Rocket bikes. I was to ride one. Shop got it ready and it sold. Okay, I'll ride the other one. Shop got it ready and it sold too. Not an easy bike to come by but the next time they have one in I'll do my best to get on it. Wahoo!

That is awesome!
Lovely bike, would love to own it.
You and me both!
650 is the perfect size motorcycle in my opinion. I had a 1974 Yamaha xs 650 pretty much exactly like that bike with a different paint job
Right on!

The wife still has the exact same bike with the 4 gallon chrome tank, been riding it since the mid 90's.
That is fabulous! Great motorcycle

Beauty!!!
Wahoo 🎉
Have you tested a Guzzi V7?
I have, I own one 🙂
It it for sale?
Check Baxtercycle.com under vintage motorcycles. Not sure if it is still there.
No, the only modern bike anything like this is a Kawasaki W800. A long stroking, vertical twin with 360 degree firing interval.
Wahoo!

@@thefuzzybiker171 probably one of the most authentic modern classics available. Do you have a link to the ride please?
