Certainly wouldn't say yours wasn't a proper series that's for sure, enjoyed it very much and was in no way saying I think I'll cover it better than anyone else, just differently I hope - we all have slightly different methods here and there. The more good Aussie content the better! If we can get close to or similar results as yourself as you say then I'd be pretty happy with it. Good luck with the future upgrades on RIPIN and the track Pulsar build mate 👍

Yer you said it. Ive been looking forward to that. And to all the people who has been saying "just buy a turbo car", this series isnt for you. This series is specifically for the passionate and enthutiast not for lazy bones. Driving a car which you have turboed yourself is something totally different and satisfying.
I’m with you, but there’s a place for both sides. The ‘just buy a turbo car’ argument doesn’t give me any satisfaction really, or of course learn anything. The argument did also make a lot more sense back when the price gap wasn’t what it is today, but I’m sure most who said it weren’t really giving it much consideration anyway.
sweet dude, might consider doing this to my 2004 BA, she only has 120k on the clock and your past vids have been helpful in maintenance ect. i am an old school backyard mechanic, but lost my license for over a decade, went from an 79 XD as my first car too the BA when i got driving again last year. when the local mechanic quoted me over 1200 for the rear bushes...decided it wa time to get working on cars again and the BA is a bit of a change from the old 302 clevo

Most second hand ford turbos have been thrashed. That`s why people buy them to do just that. I have done what you have done so far to my BA Ute. But i will stay with the NA Barra and install a couple of slightly modified cams. Very happy so far.

The map sensor has a different plug from n/a to turbo. If you grab a second hand vz four wire o2 sensor it has the correct plug for the turbo map sensor. With a re-pin it's cheaper than using an adapter loom kit.

Mate everything you said is exactly right. I have been buying parts for my ba xr6 for the last 12 months. I have been very lucky, I ended up buying a Spartan gt3584r turbo which just happened to be on special for 1040 dollars, compared to 1600 dollars normally. I researched my turbo for a long time and it is a good snail. I bought plazmaman cold and hot side 3 inch piping and a intercooler that wasn't too expensive. I also got 650cc injectors and I bought a turbo ecu on line. The seller ended up being a mechanic with his own shop. He also tuned the ecu, and I asked him what sort of power I would be getting. He said that it would be putting out 550hp. I almost pissed myself. But my car is not a skid car or a drag car. I would be a bit careful with the dyno machines. They rev the poor old car 2 , 7k. Pcm flash tuned ecu is just about as good as any dyno. As long as the tuner knows a lot about the car. He has a 1200kw ba xr6 himself. Anyway mate I'm getting the shits with all the haters 2
Sounds like a good thing mate. And i agree with you on the tuning side to a certain extent. Let's be honest, the OEM isn't tuning each individual car! But once more variables/non stock parts start creeping in and the age of these things are getting up there I start to be a little more on the cautious side. Especially with good tuning shops becoming much more available and prices not completely unreasonable, I'd rather have it ticked off and reduce the chance of a new engine having to be thrown in! Certainly not saying you've done the wrong thing, sounds like you're all over it and hope you enjoy it 👍. Oh and don't worry about the haters, there's not that many they just like to be the loudest sometimes haha
@@BrowneysGarage yeah I was thinking about doing the bottom end. But it is a really good motor and I haven't had any problems with it, and there isn't 1 leak on the entire car. Mate sounds like a good build but you will not get 375kw/500hp out of 650cc injectors going to need 1000cc unless you want to max out your 650 duty cycle. you will also need a fuel regulator and a pump if you are going springs for that power you also risk bending the rods or lifting the head. Good to see you back. I have the same ebay intercooler as you. I upgraded from factory BA Turbo cooler and im happy with it. its no plazmaman but for the price I do think it adds value stock cooler liked to heat soak after a few runs.
Glad to hear, comments I’ve seen elsewhere were a bit mixed but the few here have all been positive. I’m hoping it can be the same or just very slightly better, not hoping for too much but they’re readily available and we’ll priced so worth a go. So you think it helped with the heat soak a little?
@@BrowneysGarage i don't have any evidence other than my right foot. But I had my BA Turbo for over 10 years before I upgraded the stock cooler. I'm running about 300kw wheels no issues with that eBay cooler. By the time I need a bigger intercooler I'm going to need a stronger bottom ect. I asked my tuner not to push my engine to much I wanted reliable street car with a good powerband. My 4sp auto has decided she did not like the abuse. So I'm going to rebuild it but I knew it was a weak point even had a transmission cooler on it but shes had enough. 200k plus km and a heavy right foot I think she did well. I did end up getting the shift kit that you did in your video but I was far to lazy put the button where you did but I really liked how you showed that it could be cleaned up.
Nice! Here's hoping there's plenty of parts floating around for some time yet for others too, they used to be everywhere I looked but seem to have slowed a little. Good luck with it if you do mate.
Browney is BACK! Mate great explanation of the project and your goals too! You have put a lot of thought into the parts and process - can't wait to see it all come together! Reckon your green car will defo be faster than my green car once its all done! I think people who say its better to buy an already fast car miss the point of it being a project, there is a lot of enjoyment and knowledge to be gained by going through the process - and its also fun for us to watch too!!
Thanks very much mate, been a long time in the works... and still going! May be faster soon but I know you still wouldn't swap haha. Couldn't agree more, and to boot I think there's something wrong with me cause I often enjoy the work before the drive more - at least once it's done and I can look back anyway! Plus I think this is more relatable, it's what I'd prefer to watch anyway. Congrats and good luck to you and Kinal with bub on the way too mate.

Its all about the journey! Cheers mate - Kinals doing a great job so far and D day will be very soon (prob this week) so its all happening here!! Very excited to have a little person in the house that can one day hand me tools whilst I’m under a car 😀
Will do mate! And yep, I enjoy working away in the garage so happy to do it this way. Not always the best financial decision but at least I'm learning along the way 🤣
I watched the na series way back when and been waiting for the turbo conversion. I recently picked up a mk2 xr6 turbo for 4k at auction and she’s been going strong for a month or so at the moment! Super keen to watch the build play out 👌🏼
Interesting, would love to see what you come up with if you get a chance to share once it's done. I don't think I really have a need for them at the moment but I've always had a weird attraction to any good looking, big set of brakes - always something that stands out to me even just as an aesthetic thing as odd as that may be. Thanks for watching mate 👍
@@BrowneysGarage it's for looks for me too, but anything is better than the tiny brakes I currently have. I will try and share when done, just getting started now. I want to convert my BF ute to turbo, so I am keen to see your future vids. 👍👍 Good work on your past vids also, been watching for a while
@@BrowneysGarage and get some sleep will ya 🤣 having owned a ba and now a bf, I do feel your pain. However I'm hurting too sold my turbo ute years back for 3k 😪
Bout time your back! I’m keen for this series as I am following along with a bf green top that Im converting and will be doing most of the mods your doing
Yay! So excited for you to do this, I’ve got the same turbo and I nearly have all the bits to do this to my fg. Everything thing you said at the end was hilariously spot on 😁😁😁.
Im sure you are well aware of this but you must replace your valve springs with heavy duty turbo springs browney, plus the oil pump gears wont last long if you are going to be doing track work with it. Ive considered turbocharging my 2010 FG XR6 and it was running into nearly 5 grand for everything, not including a tune. Then theres the braking upgrades and a turbo tailshaft, and a haltec ecu pro. Reliability and power comes at a cost.
Depends on your goals and how it's treated, plenty of cars getting about without what you've listed, including factory turbo cars - braking upgrades and Haltech ECU are far from must haves. Thanks for watching mate.
@@BrowneysGarage factory turbo barras have bigger valve springs in them, and LPG conrods. Seriously if your going to be doing track time i would be replacing the factory oil pump gears with billet gears and put turbo valve springs in it at least, otherwise you could easily destroy your N/A barra, they are not designed for boost. Thats up to you,but if your going to boost it your better off doing it properly and you wont have to worry about reliability and blowing your engine up.
Thanks Glen, glad you're here. Merch has been a whole minefield of it's own, but I've done what I can to screen the company we're working with and I've been very pleased so far. See how it goes before committing further - fingers crossed!
I can't wait to see how this turns out. I've done everything you have apart from the tune to my NA offroad territory. I find I need more torque with the bigger wheels and was thinking about the 6 speed conversion or turbo. I really look forward to the detailed videos you do. Thanks.
You and me both! Turbo Territory would be a damn good thing. Much easier than the 6 speed swap too, assuming you mean the ZF auto? Sounds like a headache unfortunately. Thanks for watching along mate, hope you enjoy what's coming.
I've got a late 07 bf mk2 Fairmont Ghia with the std 190 barra and the zf 6 speed. Best auto I've ever driven. On the street at least it makes all the 4 speeds I've driven feel like clunky slow dim witted dinosaurs, including the extensively modified autos I've driven. Light years difference. Went the t56 in my xr8 though Just my opinion 🤷
If only I could knock out as many videos as there are lockdowns! Next couple will be out very soon though. Thanks mate, and hope you're getting through alright 👍
So glad to see you back Browney! I've been waiting to watch this for months. Gunna be following this build with keen interest Mate, and I'll be taking mental notes. My NA BA may just be getting an upgrade too. Crack On Big Fella!
Thanks for waiting, these things take bloody ages to get out and life gets in the way! Plenty to come though, hope you enjoy mate, glad I could be a bad influence 👍
And I genuinely appreciate people like yourself that help motivate me to keep working on these videos - thanks and hope you enjoy what we have coming mate 👍
Awsome I have the exact same and spec falcon as yours and I’ve loved the series it’s been great I’m on the goal to get my car legal again and turbocharged on the asap
Survived and been busier than ever, has part of the hold up on these videos. Thanks mate, hope you're making it through lockdowns ok yourself and hope you enjoy 👍
Legend, not sure if it'll get the name but just like the oils I hope to have plenty of the right noise from Peter out front soon... mind you not sure Mr Garrett would approve of much we do on the channel!
Not in the plans but I'd consider a 6 speed manual or some upgrades for the BTR (stall or toughened up). ZF isn't really on the table and not something I think is worth it at the moment, it's been done I'm sure but there's a lot to it with changing all the looms, computers etc as well I believe.
I have been waiting patiently for this to come out. I have a factory turbo car and are looking at doing a turbo wagon to go with it. Although I am confident i can do this i will watch you make mistakes and learn from them. oh and i fitted that same cooler and was pleased with the results. thinking you should be able to get 250rwkw on low boost due to higher compression. my turbo car with just upgraded fuel pump 1000cc injectors and that cheap cooler is 300.07 RWKW on 12psi to get that you will need valve springs which i have done for insurance purposes only.
Hey Geoff! Yep sorry, these videos take me bloody ages to put together and it’s been hard to find the time. We’re working on it though! Sure you’d be be capable of it, I like people learning from my mistakes though - helps us all! Damn good power and glad to hear your thoughts on that cooler. The few reviews I’ve seen seemed to have been a bit mixed, was you tuber happy with it/do you notice much power lose with heat soak compared to stock?
Turbo Territory's are awesome mate, I'd take one any day! Good combination of comfort, extra room, bit more ground clearance and the turbo power to boot. Good luck with it 👍
@@BrowneysGarage thx for great videos great see someone giving it a go at home like i trying to do even though i don't have any plans on Boost looking forward to seeing what u got planned 😉🤟
Oh it's ok, the car came with brakes 😂. As much as I love big brakes, I just don't have a need for now or with more power unless I'm doing track days or decent hill runs and the car has mostly seen cruising lately. If you’re interested this sort of reflects my points on big brakes - only he is kind of a jerk about it! ruclips.net/video/hT035DK8viY/видео.html
I sold my BA NA XL ute and bought an fg g6e turbo. sold the ute for $3500 more than I paid and the g6e is currently worth about $7000 more than I paid, Not a bad idea tbh though I bought the g6e at the right time because it shot up in value straight away with covid prices

So screw the keyboard warriors &good luck with the project. Any advice if needed please reach out .
Hey Browney in your previous episodes I saw that you drove through lower plenty and I’m not far from there. I have a BA of my own and because of my car and your videos my mates want them too it’d be sick to if you did a meet up or something once covid settles
Wow that's awesome mate! If I was heading through that way I'm guessing it was the tune video, it's a bit of a hike from us and not normally out there much. To be honest I'm a super quiet guy off camera and would probably be terribly awkward and disappointing 😂. But wouldn't rule out some sort of meet in the future, always great to check out some cars and share stories. Take care during lockdown mate 👍
I'm curious to know if taking into consideration the skyrocketing prices of factory turbo-ed Falcons, has it finally become cost-effective to get professional mechanics to turbo your Falcon? just thought I would throw that out there.
Interesting thought, and would depend on just how far you want to go too I guess (just turbo, or gearbox, diff, driveshaft etc). With the cost gap at the moment though it just may be possible, which is a little crazy!
Oh yeah don’t worry, it’s got those too! As much as I’d love some upgraded Brembos or similar they would be mostly for show. I’ve found the stock ones to be ok at the moment, I know they’re not unreal but OK, but I also haven’t driven it nearly enough recently and a lot of that is just cruising.
Ah yes, budget creep, I started out with $10k in mind for my barra conversion, over $21k now and have barely done anything. Doing engine and trans conversion in AU though so naturally going to cost a bit more. Look forward to seeing your results mate 🤙
Seems a decent option and would consider it but I like the idea of picking up second hand factory parts cheap when I have been able to, and it’s hard to beat the bolt on fit of factory parts when they’re suitable.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and you inspired me to get a ford falcon bf xr6. Ive been repeatedly watching your exhaust video trying to decide if thats the exhaust system for me so I just wondered what your thoughts are on it a year later. I want a good exhaust note but nothing crazy obnoxious and the system you went with seems pretty close to it but its hard to tell on video. Im really looking forward to this series as its something I will try to replicate myself a few years from now when I get off my P's haha ;)
A year on and I’m very glad I went this option, for me it’s a pretty perfect compromise between enough volume (a little more than stock) and good note without being annoyingly loud ever or drawing too much attention. Sounds like we have similar wants there. I will say the quality of the exhaust and welds aren’t incredible but they haven’t caused me any dramas. For the price it’s hard to complain as long as it lasts though, and so far it looks to be holding up. Hope that helps and thanks very much for watching mate.
@@BrowneysGarage Are you satisfied with the volume of the exhaust or do you think it lacks a bit and could be a bit louder? Thanks mate I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
Could perhaps be a touch louder but I’d almost bet it’s one of those ‘be careful what you wish for’ things. Could very easily tip over the point where it’s too loud and starts to sound horrible, I certainly wouldn’t get the same system but with 1 muffler and 1 resonator. I guess the best way to judge is whether I’d buy it again - and yes I would.
I believe so but to be honest it’s been so long since I looked into how I tell the difference physically I could be wrong, happens more than I like! 🤣 Will have to confirm at some point but their pretty close to each other anyway, I’ll take either.
What are the compliance issues over there? In nz we need to go through all sorts of cert costs etc so most people say cheaper to swap cars but those days are gone with a nearly 40k difference sometimes
Compliance is tough over here too and varies a LOT even from state to state, it's way to hard to cover for a hack like me. May look at doing a post or video on it one day. But yes, that price gap is really starting to open up over here too, making factory cars start to look very unreasonable.

On ya Browney!,am considering doing this myself as I have most of the parts needed. Will be watching keenly.
Browney's Garage Browney's Garage hehe yeah spot on - my Fairmont aint going no where!
You are not alone in that camp - plenty of people prefer to tinker than drive their pride and joy. Its all about the journey!
Cheers mate - Kinals doing a great job so far and D day will be very soon (prob this week) so its all happening here!! Very excited to have a little person in the house that can one day hand me tools whilst I’m under a car 😀
yes, please keep this series coming.
Besides, where's the fun in buying it already done and complete? Built not bought!
Will do mate! And yep, I enjoy working away in the garage so happy to do it this way. Not always the best financial decision but at least I'm learning along the way 🤣
May not be a qualified mechanic. But it’s the backyard ones who are the best!
Thanks mate, hopefully makes it more relatable at least for the average bloke like me - and it means there's plenty of mistakes to learn from too!
Nice info, I decided to go with the centrifugal supercharger instead though.... And dual electric front drive
I watched the na series way back when and been waiting for the turbo conversion. I recently picked up a mk2 xr6 turbo for 4k at auction and she’s been going strong for a month or so at the moment! Super keen to watch the build play out 👌🏼
Wow that's an amazing pick up mate, well done! Thanks for watching along, hope you enjoy what we have coming and your new toy 👍
LOL the 'Peter Garrett' got me hahaha
I'm kind of pleased with myself on that one too haha. Thanks mate 👍
Welcome back mate. Keen to see your progression and improvements.
Thanks very much mate, excited to see how this all turns out now.
Good to see! Looking forward to this project! Good luck!
You and me both! Thanks mate.
Just what i was waiting for!!! Thanks Browney Garage!!
Looking forward to subsequent episodes.
I am currently working on a reasonably priced brake upgrade, 8pot front calipers and 4 pot rear.
👍👍
Good work on your past vids also, been watching for a while
Welcome back mate, really looking forward to this series!!!👌
Looking forward to it as well... maybe not the work left to do but the results at least!
Thanks very much mate 👍
Your a legend browney. Keep up the good work. Hope it all goes to plan and better
Thanks very much mate that's very kind, and cheers for watching. Fingers crossed!
@@BrowneysGarage and get some sleep will ya 🤣 having owned a ba and now a bf, I do feel your pain. However I'm hurting too sold my turbo ute years back for 3k 😪
Looking forward to this series. Wish I could give more thumbs up.
Legend, thanks very much mate!
Onya browney!! Looking forward to the turbo conversion series you got coming mate
Thanks mate, hopefully it's a good one... it better be at least, a lot of work has gone into it already! Haha
Really looking forward to this build!!
Go get em' Tiger!!
You and me both! Thanks mate 👍
Bout time your back!
I’m keen for this series as I am following along with a bf green top that Im converting and will be doing most of the mods your doing
Sounds great! Good luck with yours mate 👍
Yay! So excited for you to do this, I’ve got the same turbo and I nearly have all the bits to do this to my fg. Everything thing you said at the end was hilariously spot on 😁😁😁.
I wish it wasn't so true! Awesome, good luck with it mate. Great to see so many others doing NA+T stuff now 👍
looking forward to your video series mate
Thanks mate!
I've been looking forward to this series Brownie. I'm considering it for my BA XR6 so I'll be watching with great interest.
Thanks mate, excited to see what she can do 👍
Im sure you are well aware of this but you must replace your valve springs with heavy duty turbo springs browney, plus the oil pump gears wont last long if you are going to be doing track work with it.
Glad to see you back, looking forward to seeing how this goes.
Love your videos keep being you it is great.
Me too mate. Thanks very much, glad you enjoy/can tolerate the bad humour along the way!
Glad to see ya back
Good to be back 👍. Thanks mate
Loving it mate, keen on the build.
Looking forward to the next video!!! Love your work Browney.
It won't be too far off at all mate, thanks for watching 👍
Looking forward to this. Great you have merch too.
Thanks Glen, glad you're here. Merch has been a whole minefield of it's own, but I've done what I can to screen the company we're working with and I've been very pleased so far. See how it goes before committing further - fingers crossed!
Way to go Browney cant wait for this should be a hoot...john..Willaura..😎
Thanks John, fingers crossed!
Very excited to see this series Im considering turbocharging my FG Falcon great first video
Nice, good luck with it mate. Sounds like the FG is slightly more of a headache/harder to get parts for at the moment but results should be awesome 👍
Went the t56 in my xr8 though
Just my opinion 🤷
Great to see you back Browney!!!! Keeping lockdown bearable since early 2020 👍🍻🤣
If only I could knock out as many videos as there are lockdowns! Next couple will be out very soon though.
Thanks mate, and hope you're getting through alright 👍
Happy to see this new series mate. Was waiting for this after your NA dyno.
Thanks mate 👍
Hey mate, looking forward to the series ! No firey crashes before you finish the conversion !
Will do my best! Thanks mate 👍
Welcome back mate like all your videos
i genuinley appreciate your channel so much mate, keep it up
And I genuinely appreciate people like yourself that help motivate me to keep working on these videos - thanks and hope you enjoy what we have coming mate 👍
Nice car mate and a great build series!👍
Thank you mate! 👍
I've got a 04 fairmont ghia I'm thinking of a turbo or supercharger nothing crazy but the 230000 k's on the clock worries me a bit.
Guess it depends how it's treated once it was done. Even stock cars can blow with enough abuse 🤷
Welcome back mate!
Thanks mate, feels good to have another video to share. Hope you enjoy mate
Great to see you back mate! If you do decide to get rid of your current exhaust, feel free to post it to me in NZ :)
😂 No worries mate, I'll strap it to a few magpies and send it over.
@@BrowneysGarage Might need more than a few... seems hard to get a decent exhaust over here for a reasonable price

Awsome I have the exact same and spec falcon as yours and I’ve loved the series it’s been great I’m on the goal to get my car legal again and turbocharged on the asap
Sweet, good luck with it mate 👍
Thanks man keep up the good content
Glad to see you survived Covid lockdown, again and again and again...
Looking forward to seeing this series and how it all turns out.
Survived and been busier than ever, has part of the hold up on these videos. Thanks mate, hope you're making it through lockdowns ok yourself and hope you enjoy 👍
Are you now going to call it project ‘Midnight Oil’… yes I saw it😉👍🏻
Legend, not sure if it'll get the name but just like the oils I hope to have plenty of the right noise from Peter out front soon... mind you not sure Mr Garrett would approve of much we do on the channel!
Morning Browni n the boys, FG's toungin for a t-bo but so the starlet... farkk
heck yeah man so excited
Thanks man.
Glad you’re back mate been waiting for this
Hope you enjoyed it! Plenty to come 👍
Good on ya mate screw the haters
Thanks mate 👍
been waiting on this for awhile now 😍👍
I reckon my $400 ba Ute needs a turbo now. Thanks browney
To be fair I never said I recommend doing it 😂. Good score getting a ute that cheap mate, well done.
hey mate, would you ever considering maybe doing a gearbox change? even to the later used ZF
Not in the plans but I'd consider a 6 speed manual or some upgrades for the BTR (stall or toughened up). ZF isn't really on the table and not something I think is worth it at the moment, it's been done I'm sure but there's a lot to it with changing all the looms, computers etc as well I believe.
fukin awesome, brownie is BACK
I have been waiting patiently for this to come out.
I’m doing the same thing on my territory at the moment aha
Turbo Territory's are awesome mate, I'd take one any day! Good combination of comfort, extra room, bit more ground clearance and the turbo power to boot. Good luck with it 👍
Awsome video bro very pump to see whats to come
Thanks for the support Brock 👍
@@BrowneysGarage thx for great videos great see someone giving it a go at home like i trying to do even though i don't have any plans on Boost looking forward to seeing what u got planned 😉🤟
Keen for this series
Thanks mate 👍
Have to considered upgrading the breaks? Can't remember if you've already done it in your NA series...
@@BrowneysGarage both you and that video has a very good point!!!👍
Such great videos
Thank you very much mate, glad you enjoy.
I sold my BA NA XL ute and bought an fg g6e turbo. sold the ute for $3500 more than I paid and the g6e is currently worth about $7000 more than I paid, Not a bad idea tbh though I bought the g6e at the right time because it shot up in value straight away with covid prices
Cheers 🍻 browny I've done all of what your planning to achieve with this current series of videos your about to do I have done all of what yourgunna do.with great success. 👍 I'm sure you discussed your plans with Zane at Max performance. So screw the keyboard warriors &good luck with the project. Any advice if needed please reach out .
Awesome to hear others who’ve done it and been happy with the results, I’m sure I will be too. Thanks very much mate 👍
Love this
Welcome back! :)
Thank you mate, good to have something done that I can share with everyone again!
Hey Brownie, could you make a list of all the parts you have bought on a google doc or something for us to look at? :)
Hey mate, will put a list and probably an ep on all the parts used once I know everything works and I'm happy with the parts 👍
@@BrowneysGarage we love you
Sweet
I'm curious to know if taking into consideration the skyrocketing prices of factory turbo-ed Falcons, has it finally become cost-effective to get professional mechanics to turbo your Falcon? just thought I would throw that out there.
Interesting thought, and would depend on just how far you want to go too I guess (just turbo, or gearbox, diff, driveshaft etc). With the cost gap at the moment though it just may be possible, which is a little crazy!
Also I’ll grab a shirt ASAP any chance on a banner of the falcon doin a burnout
Legend! No plans as yet sorry, we're a little limited with the range of products we can offer for now but if things go well who knows in the future.
Ya back mate sweet let's make a rocket👍
Or hopefully not a grenade instead at least!
what about brakes . good luck wit the conversion
OR ba- fg turbo up graded there a bit bigger anyway good luck with the build
@@ZOOOTV72 It's on the cards at some point for sure. Thanks mate
Ah yes, budget creep, I started out with $10k in mind for my barra conversion, over $21k now and have barely done anything. Doing engine and trans conversion in AU though so naturally going to cost a bit more. Look forward to seeing your results mate 🤙
Ouch! It happens, sounds like it'll be pretty sweet when done mate, but that's exactly the sort of thing I'm trying to avoid 😂. Thanks mate
Did you consider the T.I performance kit?
@@BrowneysGarage cheers mate I really appreciate it.
Noob question: In VIC - could you do this and still register and insure your car ok? (Presumably after getting an engineer’s cert?)
Legend keep it up
Will do my best! Hope you enjoy what we have coming 👍
Sure that's a 3576? Looks like a 82 front housing
I believe so but to be honest it’s been so long since I looked into how I tell the difference physically I could be wrong, happens more than I like! 🤣
Will have to confirm at some point but their pretty close to each other anyway, I’ll take either.
But yes, that price gap is really starting to open up over here too, making factory cars start to look very unreasonable.
as he is going with factory bolt on parts to get this a cert in NZ isnt actually that expensive.
LWTS FUCKING GOOO!!!!!
