2008 Hyundai Sonata Sun Visor Problem and Replacement

- The sun visors in this 2008** Hyundai Sonata broke and wouldn't stay up in place soon after the purchase of this vehicle according to the first owner. I found them to be extremely annoying not to mention a safety hazard while driving when it would flop down in my face. I thought it would be good to show others how easy it was to replace them in case they have the same problem.
**I think I mistakenly said 2006 in the video, but I think they're the same type/part. Хобби
It's a common problem; the plastic shaft inside the visor is snapped in half. Take it out of the visor, super glue it back together, fixed. Cost me $5.
Exactly what I needed
Thanks a lot
Could you provide a link to where you purchased these please having the same issue
I ordered one (RH side) from a parts store online and they only had one left, but paid more. The second from "automotiveapple" a seller on ebay however it shipped internationally and took a while to arrive. Also the second one didn't have the exact same OEM warning sticker on it, but slightly different. Quality seemed about the same though.
Going to steal a line from David Spade from the movie Tommy Boy. "Listen folks, if you're too dumb to figure out how to replace a sun visor, just raise your hand and Tommy will come by and hit you in the head with a tack hammer." I changed a few words around, but you get the point.
Hyundai should be ashamed of themselves. Faulty part, but of course took no responsibility. Terrible company honestly.
Your video is great though! Thank you :)
Did this ever break again?
Thanks for asking. No, the replacement visors were working great, so these replacements seemed to be better than the factory ones. I had just replaced the tires on the car too but someone slammed into the back of that car and totalled it three weeks ago so we no longer have that car. What a bummer.. I had just put new tires on it too. Oh well.
@@stoppedsnoring That really stinks, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm hoping my Sonata can hold on a little longer.
U not along
