  • What language do you use to 'frame' your swimming movements and mindset?
Language is powerful! Often what we 'think' we should be doing, doesn't serve our swimming so well.
Classic example "I have to reach and far as I can, and pull as hard as I can"
This is a misconception, and language that the developing swimmer must move away from.
Swimming is a game of skill, finesse, less is more, drag reduction, timing.... begin to use language and coaching cues that encourage a smarter way to swim!

Muy buenos sus videos soy grande 50. Pero entreno la técnicas seguido. Tratando de reducir la resistencia y estar lo más arriba posible en el agua.

What about the other part of the ecuation (propulsion)?

We can still use language to 'frame' the propulsive part of the stroke. The key is to use language that involves less effortful meaning... less force, etc we are always trying to consider economy of effort in the swimming equation.

@@SWIMLABAustralia I guess the same language can be framed to get swimmers into putting the righ amount of effort at the right time of the stroke and engaging the right muscles. Thanks so much for your answer! :)

@@alvarotomico872 Yes, exactly. And we are all wired differently. Ability to perceive is a sliding scale, for some easy, for some challenging. So as coaches we must assist the swimmer to find the correct framing that works for them
