How Much Laminate Flooring Do I Need? We have provided this simple guide so you can determine how much flooring to buy.
Measuring you room so you can work out how much flooring to buy is not the daunting task it seems. Regardless of the shape or size of your room all you will need is a tape measure, paper (or phone note) and a pencil or pen to note down your lengths. Working in metres will make this simpler for you.
    Step 1.
Measure the length of your room from closest wall to furthest wall and take a note of this measurement.
    Step 2.
Now do the same for the width of your room, taking a note of this measurement.
    Step 3.
Multiply the length of the room by the width and this will give you your total square metres.
    Step 4.
Depending on the type of floor you intent to order you will need to account for some wastage.
    Laminate Flooring 10%
    Engineered/Real Wood Flooring 10%
    Herringbone or Chevron Flooring 15%
    So for example:
    Length 3.5m
    Width 2.2m
    Total needed 7.7m²
    10% Laminate Flooring Wastage .77m²
Total Needed 8.47m² or 8.5m² for safety
    Step 5.
If you are on our website then each product has a box where you can enter the square meterage. We will tell you exactly how many packs you need.
