I bought one after watching your video and don't regret it. It was super easy to install, and it does quite well. On a recent road trip in extreme heat, it didn't keep the temp quite as cold as where I had it set, but it still kept things cool and fresh. As a new Tesla owner I really enjoy your no-nonsense videos, and your winter driving experiences are a good reminder of why I left Nebraska.

Looks like a great product. I agree with the need for the door to adapt to the cargo mat. Also, would suggest a modification to place a 12 volt plug on the front of the fridge that would cut the fridge power automatically while running an air compressor to air up a low tire or inflating a beach toy and automatically re start the fridge when the accessory is unplugged.

Wow, huge! Would love to know the long term power draw on your upcoming road trip.

The issue I see with the location is if you have a problem ( which I never have had ) with releasing the NACS connector. You would need to dismantle the unit to gain access to release the connector from the inside. Specs seems good as far as temperature range and the location is no problem with me. I do wish the price wasn't so high.

Software is now incompatible with frig. I have this refrigerator and it was great. Cold drinks anytime and can keep frozen food frozen when coming from the grocery. Now I'm angry that the last software update turns off the power to the outlets when the car is parked, even if Sentry mode is on. Now my frig is worthless. I just called and complained to Tesla but who knows if that will ever be reversed. It will work in camp/dog mode but I can't have my A/C on all day when parked at work. I'm told older hardware versions that provide 16 volts to the outlets still work. I have HW4.

Great use of space. Curious how it holds up keeping things cold - my car interior gets really hot if I don’t always have the heat monitor on.

$500?! There's a kickstarter for one coming that fills the entire below of the trunk for $350... I think ima wait on that.

Tbh once we have enough competition this same fridge will cost maybe 100 or less. It's a micro fridge doesn't cost more than 20$ to manufacture

The fact that it cannot be used from the driver's seat is fine with me. I can use it every 2 - 3 hours when I am at the SuC. But when camping, the mattress is in front of it and I always have to push it to the side when I want to open the fridge. I'm not sure yet whether this is a bit annoying in the long run or whether it doesn't really matter....
What is the consumption per hour?
    Thanks for your work ✌

Does the fan make too much noise? Does the noise go away when the fridge is cold?

While having a cooler under the subtrunk gives you more room, there would be no way for hot air to escape so using the cuby gets around that problem. Too bad it doesn't accommodate a floor mat or I might buy one.

You would leave the top cover off of the subtrunk for air ventilation

@@castortoutnu lol not 500 though 🤣🤣🤣 It's a fucking micro fridge. Soon enough there will enough competing products out there offering the same for less than 100

@@castortoutnuIt's definitely not worth $500. There are so many alternatives. I have a cooler and it gets the job done. It drops in price some, then it'll be a nice convenience.

They should have designed another plug outlet in the front so you don't lose the only outlet in the rear of the car so that you can connect other things.

A review of a fridge or refrigerator that does not talk about the temperature? A $2 thermometer could have made this video a lot more useful to test it

Somewhat limited information in your review. No temperature or if it can be varied. Nothing about a price. Guess there's always room for improvement.
