This channel is probably the only channel out of all the RUclipsrs in the RUclips plant community that will give you every thing that you could ever know or wonder about any type of plant! The videos are lengthy but honestly i don’t mind it at all because the amount of information he gives you in just 1 video instead of 3 different ones is hands down better than any other channel! He gives you in detail on how to care for the plant, ways to help it thrive, common and uncommon issues, ways to propagate, examples of problems and what the plant looks like when it happens. Then tells you why the plant is doing that and what you can do to to fix the problem. Plus, sometimes he misuse an English translation and it’s cute because obviously it’s not his first language so props to him! Keep making these informative and helpful plant videos! I watch the videos even if I don’t own that type of plant because knowledge is power!
i know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the login password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Xander Vance Instablaster :)
@Lyric Nash thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Lyric Nash It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Xander Vance glad I could help :D
Probably the best plant daddy on youtube
Certainly.
You are the best teacher! I love your videos. So thorough and informative. I really appreciate it!
Thank you for this valuable sharing. I'm watching your 4 years video in 2024. Huge fan from Malaysia 🌿💚
20 years of experience in plants. Can't hide it , the video is informative and also can't get from just reading a plant
book :)
I spend my boring Sunday watching almost all of your videos. They’re really informative and easy to understand. I feel like I‘m so close to my plants right now thanks for letting me know and understand them better!! Keep on making videos! I‘ll be your forever big fans haha 🌲🐞🤍
I find myself sometimes routing for him to find the right English word and I grin every time he says the world PLANT...which he pronounced PLONT. ha ha ha ha. But very informative and organized.. just very Swedish. More More PLONTS!
I love this comment!!!
Me too!!!! I always chuckle when he searches for the word or he seldom misuses a word!
My household and I all repeat the word PLONT every time he says it. We love it.
The way he says plants actually sounds like we say it in French.☺️
@@veroniquechretien3102 is it the French word for plants that sounds like PLONTS or is it the French accent when saying the English word for plants coming out as PLONTS? :)
The most plant education I got from! You can tell he’s really been into plants for a long time.. An expert, for sure! Thank you for sharing your education- you covered all aspects from A to Z!!! 🙌🏽 👍🏾♥️
I have bought books that said "Complete Guide for House Plants." I was never as satisfied with one person's guidance as this Swedish gardener! Thank you!
Would appreciate an “all you need to know” video on the split leaf philodendron, and how it differs from the Monstera Deliciosa. Your videos are very informative & I really appreciate the detailed explanations you provide. Thank you for sharing your in-depth knowledge & educating us!
You’ve made this new plant mommy a bit confident in her care for my Brazil philodendron. I didn’t even know it was Brazilian 🥰. Thank you so much

Super! Thank you for all of these great explanations!
Best instructor!!.
I just got a baby one today and I am so excited to see it grow!
Thanks a lot for detailed information.
Can you show the wire support you use for the climbing purposes in another video? Love the idea of that vs. a moss pole.
Yes please! I’d like to see a video also if you can do one showing both wire and moss pole support.
Please make vedio for this wire type climbing support
Check out Doug Chamberlain’s video called “How to build a rabbit fence trellis for hoyas”, it’s the same kind of trellis and works for many types of climbing plants
Excellent, maestro!

.. Because of your info (video) about pumice and perlite, I added pumice to the soil when repotting most of my plants about 7 months ago.. Ever since then they have changed to the better and their growing too, so thank you so very much for that..
Brilliantly explained. I checked so many videos for my damaging philodendron. This is the only one that I found useful.
I wish I could share a photo here; I have one in flower! Your videos are the best. Thank you.
Appreciate all this information great job!
Mine has flowered many times! I love this channel, your videos are so helpful and easy to follow!
A program on your various plant supports and what plants can use them would be terrific. I really enjoy your videos. I watch even if I will never grow that plant because I learn something every time. Thank you!
I love this channel, all the knowledge and breakdown so people can skip parts if they want, listen to all of it. It helps refresh my thoughts

I absolutely love phylodendrons! I have had a large Brazil for more than a decade and have never seen it flower. It continues to thrive in low light or high light, low water or high water. It's funny to hear it's rare in Sweden bc it us one of the most common plants here in Canada. I just purchased a micans today. Really looking forward to watching it grow.
Amazing channel, amazing videos
This was great - love these all you need to knows. My philodendron was the first plant I got in college and I’ve had it since about 2008. It’s been a real trooper - it’s gone on plane rides and in cars all over the USA during my many moves. It’s gotten quite big but not as large as the beautiful ones you have behind you. Despite its age I’ve never seen it flower.
You mention drafts in this - I live in the Deep South of the USA at the moment and so temperatures are usually hot and humid, although I do use the A/C in the summer for cooling in the house. I don’t like to set the A/C temperature too low though to save power and money so I run ceiling fans in most rooms of my house, and they can create a strong wind.
Are these strong winds from fans bad for plants like drafts?
Thanks so much guys as always! 🥰
This has been so helpful. I say I'm a new plant mom but I've had my philodendron for at least 8 years!! I thought it was a pothos and didn't take care of it. Thank you for the information!!
Good information.
I love love love your channel! I wish you could make a video about grow lights.
Answered all my questions !
New subscriber here... I love this series. You're very knowledgeable and cover many topics.
I love Philodendrons, in my collection I have: Heart shaped leaf, Brasil, and Split Leaf or AKA, Mostera Deliciosa. I have them ALL over my house. 😘
On my wishlist: Micans, Selloum, Brandi, and Grazielae...
Video requests: Pothos and Scindapsus, please??? 🤗🌞
Just bought my 1st Philodendron Brasil today. I was not quite certain if this would be the right video on learning about caring for it. Yet I decided to re-watch it and I am really happy (I have watched all of your videos). Thanks a lot. I wish if you could make a video on philodendron erubescens as well. I have purchased few varieties of them recently (Common Erubescens, Imperial Green, Prince of Orange, Pink Princes & Birkin).
Thank you! I appreciate the break down of your videos. Very informative as usual!!
I love your videos they are so helpful. I will love it if you can do all you need to know about the dumb cane and calatha plants.
Hello, I always see your videos even if I don't have this specific plant. You information is accurate, totally complet. I love it!
You don't waist time with superficial things...good! Very good!
Please if possible make a video on tropical like TriStar, marantas, calatheas. I have 4 of them and it's a challenge that I'm earning step by step...
Thanks 🌱🌱🌱😘
Oh my God; from english to skånska. What a shocker! 😄
Thank you for your videos! I'm hooked, and learning loads 👍
Wow! You have the best explanations of all things plant! Thank you so much!
- I do have one ask, if I may. I recently adopted 2 varieties of maranta (aka prayer plants), I believe one is the red viened "Erythroneura" (I hope I spelled that right..lol). The other is just the plane green variety with the same pattern.. (maybe a "Leuconeura"?). Anyway I have read up on these guys as much as I can and according to my research, I am doing things correctly. However despite constant new growth my older leaves on the red veined variety keep turning yellow and dieing. .. what am I doing wrong? Also if possible I would appreciate a video on these guys on care and propagation. Thank you for your help !
Love your vídeos 👍
Thank you so much for this! I recently bought a baby heartleaf because I love the shape of the leaves...its a very very small heartleaf though since this was the last ones they have (it's also in a smaller nursery pot.) Decided to take it since it only costs me 50 pesos (0.98 dollars).
And I have no idea how to care for this and this video helped me a lot!
Hej hello, what a great video thanks. I haven't seen any of them flower, and I haven't seen any flour either lately : )
Love Love all these videos....the info is so valuable and exacting. I need all this help....hello from North Dakota....My husband is 1/2 and I'm part Swedish, by the way!!!
Thanks for all knowledge ^_^
Thank you for a great channel! I've got so much new valuable information about the plants that I have! Please make a video about Pachira Aquatica (Money tree). I've recently got quite a big tree from someone, and it doesn't do very well. I've already collected all the info I could find about this tree, but it would be great, if you could share your knowledge as well.
This guy gives comprehensive information…good job. Now if you haven’t , do a video about peace Lilly
The way you described the flower of this plant reminded me of the flowering habit of the Colocasia. I've had many plants over the years but only had 2 that flowered and when I told the nursery lady, where I purchased it, about it, she said she'd never seen one flower. The flower was alien looking. It never came up above the giant leaves. It was long and slender with a single petal that acted as a sheath with a long slit that covered the sex organs and only lasted for less than a couple days. Weird.
Thank you for such an informative video. Appreciate your understanding of plant physiology. Can you make a video about alocasia and calatheas?
Guys as always very extensive and informative, love from Mumbai India, if you can please make such an extensive video on ferns in general or bird nest ferns in particular 🙏
Also there is a light green version i hear is a lemon lime philodendron. A brasil with silver stripe called the rio
Awesome video, so thorough and interesting! What do you think about potassium oleate as a pesticide? How effective it is and is it harsh for the plants? I couldn't get rid of scale from my Anthurium by taking them off by hand, spraying alcohol and rinsing the plant. They just keep coming back. I bought a spray that contains potassium oleate (stated on the bottle as "natural pesticide") but I'm afraid to damage my plant. Thank you for your answer!
Really love how informative you are covering the different plants. Would you be able to do so for string of turtles and string of hearts?
s.o. dolphins, too please!
You are the best👍. So informative. So thorough. So clear. I wish you are in India and can study plants specific to india. tropical flowering plants especially.🙏 Wishful thinking.😢
I love your channel so much. It would be great if you could do a video on Philodendron birkin (although I imagine it's a bit less common).
Just found your channel and if you can help with care on china doll plant that would be great! Great channel.
I would appreciate a new video about Hoya care. How to encourage them to bloom. Thank you!
A relative has the one with marks on the leaves. He put it by a tree on the grown and it climbed the tree and the leaves are enormous
Hi, love your videos. Would you make a video on Monstera Adansonii. The videos i found keep saying how easy they are to grow, yet mine are not doing so well. They have light brown splotches on leaves. New leaves die before opening. I've tried watering more, watering less.
Love you advice!! Can you give advice one an upright philodendron?
Underbart pågar!😁👍 I was just woundering about the differens of the Philodendron and the Pothos or Gullranka? Becaus i think that the Pothos is more common than the Philodendron. Thanks guys! Ha de gytt!
Awesome Video. Do you have a video on Alocasias/colocasia?
I have one that has outgrown a 3’ wood post and a 36” added on moss pole! Additionally there are 3 or 4 unattached trailing “legs” that I have attached to the wall with clips or are even attaching themselves! The legs are now each 6-8 feet long each but the leaves are much smaller than those attached to the original post. Should I cut them off and start a new plant going up a post? I’m assuming I’d have to water root the three ends and then plant them and wind them up a pole? Is there a way I can remove the original plant from the Post-it’s on and put it on a larger one or will that damage it too much? It’s my favorite plant as it’s grown like crazy in the three years I’ve had it, but it’s getting out of control!
Thank you so much for this video. My P. Scandens along with a few of my other Philodendron, had most of the concerns you mentioned, no pests though. Now I know what to do! More important, I wanted to know how it would fair planting in pumice. I have at least 2 of each that you mentioned and can’t wait to put one of each in pumice to start. I was hoping you also mentioned the long vines they grow which have no leaves. What does the plant need it for? If I cut it off will it pose a problem? Anyone who knows the ans I’d be happy for a pleasant response. 😂🤗Thanks again❤️ Also, have you ever come across a Thurstoni Begonia? If so, some care advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for a great video. I have just bought a P scandens which is growing up a pole, and the newest leaves were curled longitudinally towards the leaf surface. I have searched everywhere for what this means and have had no luck. Please could you enlighten me? Many thanks
Can you please do a video on tips and tricks to grow plants in a windowless room.
Thanks
Also after watering tilt the pot so that the water point in the soil drops to the lowest possible point.
Also in summer take them outdoors and place them on a table under the shade of a tree so they get fresh air.
You could leave them outdoors during a gentle shower.
Great Video! Nice to see you use Lechuza ;-) I have all my45 inside Plants in Lechuza and they do very well :-) Could you please make a Video about the Philodendron Imperial Green? I buy a Pant at Bakker.com but when it arrive the leafes are all broken. Now it grow again out of the damaged part and I dont know what I must do to get a nice Plant. Thanks a lot :-)
