Thank you sir you just saved me 20 minutes
Wow thank you so much!!!!
Not all heroes wear capes
When I brought mines the soil was bone dry. So I showered mine gently and fed it.
Our Dracaena is 40 years old. It's as tall as a palm tree. It bloomed many times and somehow survives. It blooms yearly and I adore the smell of its flowers. It gets minimal care, but somehow manages to do ok. We consider it part of the family.
That truly sounds so glorious! Congratulations for maintaining it so well! I would love to see a picture of it.
I have had my dracaena compacta for 5-6 years and just in the last year it’s new leaves appear paler shade of green than the others, it’s not unsightly but I am wondering if it is a nutrient issue. Do you have any advice or suggestions ? Thank you.
This is encouraging!! I just got a 2' D Candelabra a couple of weeks ago and planted it in a pons media which is working out well. I'm nervous about watering too much. I have been misting it with Brita water that has sat for 24 hrs . How often to fertilize and what kind??
YOURS BLOOMS?! 😭
Wow it’s sounds good. But i am unlucky because i was bought 2 dragon tree but i could not protect them well. But i love dragon tree a lot.
WOW! That's very nice!
I have taken a top of a leafless one that was going to just dry in the the sun.
I put that stem section in saibro (red volcanic rock) and that stem section put out leaves but it didn't root.
2 years after, this spring, I decided to put it in water and it finally rooted!
Now it's potted in, basically, Pumice + Coco Coir + Worm Castings. > : )
It's funny that you have someone in the background reminding you the proper word when you stuck when you explained , it's kind of cute in the way... Thank for all the informations about the plants .😊😉👍👍
This guy is adorable
Dave Ritz so it’s not just me. Agreed.
Yes, ask your wife though first! Hahah 🤪
bought one of these for 2$ at ikea. How fitting that a Swedish man would tell me how to keep it alive.
I just did the same! It's beautiful and I'm excited to begin journeying with it.
Me too! Cool coincidence
Brought a nearly dead one ,she's finally happy in our hallway growing strong
Iie i got mines for 50 on sales 35 at ikea
Kikiki, funny I also bought mine yesterday.. guess where from???😜 IKEA in North London!🤣😂🤣😂
About 70% of my dracaena leaves turned brown all of a sudden. I thought maybe I forgot to water it but now I think it was to close to the vent when I turned the heat on for winter. I cut the brown leaves off about 2 months ago and it's just now starting to grow new leaves. Just a friendly reminder to keep them away from hot air vents. 🙂
How far away should they be from heaters?
You answer questions I didn't even know I had
Indoor plants I love them, they could give you pure oxygen, I have many of indoor plants and I take care of them as baby. every morning I woke up I feel so fresh and love to see they are shine and green. I am here to study how to taking care of a new plant I bought. Thank you Swedish plant guy for your channel and so much to learn.

I recently bought a LOT of plants. -A Dracaena being one of them. I never knew how much I'd love taking care of them. However, being the attentive person I am, I notice a small yellow spot on one of my lower leaves and researched what it meant. I found out root rot can cause this due to an excessive amount of water and instantly knew I was watering it too much. The source said 5-7 days, whereas I had been watering it daily. Glad I hadn't killed her! Thanks for this informative video!
Best video I’ve seen for this plant family. Well done!
Finally first video with all instructions :) thank you

My dracaenas are very old. I Planted them at least thirty years ago. There was only one variety available then. In late November the air is sweetly perfumed late at night all around my yard. They recover quickly from storm damage. I enjoy your posts. You are very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Thank you so much for your details regarding plants.
Video very informative. The best overview I have seen.
a lot of useful information! Thank you!
Thanks for the info on the spider mites! I wouldn’t have even considered the concept of “giving them a little bit of water” all the time during the winter. I’m a recovering “plant over-waterer” so I’ve trained myself to resist the urge to water a little bit, quite frequently. Good to know! Lol!
Thank you for all these helpful information
Thank you for a lot of info about Draceana.
Some people believes that when it flowers it is lucky but now I should know better.

Excellent. I have been wondering how to take care of my draceana! Thank you!
Amazingly indepth! Can you do a pothos and philodendron? ....as well as a video of pests and houseplant problems (covering common issues like gnats all the way to complex concerns like nutrient deficiency), expressing more on key signs that indicate a specific problem....so we can trouble shot our individual issues more easily. Thank you!
Ash gnats use apple sider vinegar with a bit of dish soap
Thanks for the video! It really helped!
You’re actually very fun on top of very informative 19:00 😆 but the slo mo still my fav 😁
I love your videos!!!
Thank you for this information.❤
You are awesome! We were gifted our Dracaena at our son's funeral 12 years ago. We have struggled to keep it alive and now I have hope we will be able to care for it even longer. Thank you for making it easy to understand how to care for this plant! Also, I haven't heard mentioned if it is possible to plant the "flower" and get new growth from it? Does the flower really not serve any purpose to this plant? And when you say "self watering" is this favored from above or below in the planter?
I am sorry about your son. 😔
My heart goes out to you ...💖
God bless!
God bless to u
I am sorry about your son.
Please check my video about watering.
Even if the language is Korea, you can understand it.

Great presentation. Thank you.
thank you for the information...I don't have a green thumb but learning about this plant helps..
Great video for the subject.
Good video helpful for dracena plant
I've just bought a small one at my favourite garden for 2.50€ . Hope this time it will survive to my overcare... The first one died for overwatering, so you're very very right when you say to let the plant dry completely before watering again. Another problem was dry tips, I think this is also due to overwatering, let's see this time...
P.s. love it when you don't remember a word and you whistle while mimicking the word ahah, anyway it's quite stressful to speak a language that is not your mothertongue, we know! So, bravo twice!
Ciao from Sicily
