  • Blueroom were a band formed in Shropshire in the early 2000s. We made two albums - the Noise EP (2004) and Red Mission Void (2005).
In 2023 Adam Gregory's mum asked us (the band) to remove some of the Blueroom stuff - equipment, boxes of junk, amps, etc. - from her garage where it had all sat for TWENTY YEARS. I had a look through it all, it was quite an experience. There were many fine relics, some of which I've used already in the Blueroom videos.
I found this minidisc in the pile of junk, we all seem to have completely forgotten about its existence or that we did this recording at all. Using our collective memories we have come to the conclusion that we recorded this minidisc to give to a lady who was organising a festival in the summer of 2004 in Melverley, Shropshire, the festival was called Summer stomp and also performing was Satch Dixon who apparently was Bob Marley's drummer. The festival was a complete failure, only about 20 people turned up. We had to play 90 minute set so we resorted to some pretty terrible songs which actually never got recorded, and you will never hear.
But this minidisc remains and amazingly works perfectly fine despite being in a damp garage for 20 winters and summers. There are a couple of tracks on here we never thought we would hear, including Justice which is the opening track and actually features a reggae section at the end. Hello is also a lost song which was not intended as an instrumental, but actually I think it works pretty well as some sort of shoegaze instrumental epic.
The minidisc is really for the band to enjoy and reminisce, and also hopefully it is of interest to any die-hard fans! It gives a very accurate representation of our workflow, just bashing out the tunes and having some light hearted arguments and banter inbetween.
