I just paid $73 for this pad at the pawn shop in good condition. It does what I needed to mostly word processing some photos/ light photo editing. For the price it does what I need.

I bought this for $120. All I need is windows is for Adobe reader dc. It's only for downloading mortgage documents on the fly in my mobile office and it's been fantastic.

I bought mine at BF at Best Buy as well and it still works today. As long as I play 480P videos on YT its fine. I would suggest to defer updates and update your computer overnight so that it won't lag your computer. I can run Unreal Tournament 2004 and Serious Sam 1 and 2 on this laptop via an external drive as long as I use reasonable graphics quality options. You can run many older games just be reasonable on the settings.
i've found that sometimes it thermal throttles and then it cant' even play youtube... 😅😭

Bought this at Best Buy for school, all I use it for is note taking, basic web browsing, and some programming. 4gb of ram does limit the amount of applications that can be run at once. I installed a minimal linux distro on it and it works well for what I need it for. Would recommend for basic use. Definitely not for gaming or cpu or ram intensive applications.
the hard drive is full --->> only 64GB!!!
even if you clear up space, it won't be much, and Windows Updates will almost immediately fill up that space!!!

if there are no updates or the checking of updates going, and no virus scan going, or no compattelrunner running, and you only open one tab, and you don't move the cursor, you can play youtube videos on low quality....

I recently restored the 11.6" model for someone. I'm not a fan of Lenovo by any means, but the build quality was quite surprising. The build material feels more like brushed aluminium than plastic... maybe it is on the smaller model. The keyboard keys had a rubbery texture to them and had a soft travel, rather than feeling plastic-y and clicky. I didn't care much for the touchpad as the buttons are built-in and part of the surface layer so I found myself moving the cursor when I was trying to click. The one major downside with the model I used was that it only had a 32Gb eMMC storage device, so by the time I'd installed Windows 10 and the Lenovo drivers, there was only just over 8Gb free. Definitely a content-consumption device rather than content creation. To think that just the SD card I'm currently using in my own laptop is twice the capacity of this little fella's entire storage is quite amusing to me.
It definitely has its use case. I feel that many people would want more though.
you have to get used to not clicking the buttons, just tap your finger anywhere on the touchpad and it'll register as a click. I usually hate this design on bigger laptops but since it's only 11.6", I don't think they have a choice unless they want to make the touchpad smaller...
and you can open up the laptop and solder an m.2 connector, it only works with nvme SSDs tho, not sata.
I have it and roblox always lags.

broo my fine area part is like always hot like the only time its not hot is like the first 3 mins of me turning it on then after that everything starts running slow and it become hot

it is passive cooling... that means no fan... and it also means that once it warms up, the CPU will start thermal throttling, and then you can't run ANYTHING!!!

no. it actually has NO memory (RAM) slots. and no slots to upgrade the storage either.

the girl that gave it to me (to speed up for her), said she was specifically having massive trouble with Roblox and asked me if i could make it go faster. i felt bad giving her the news, and she wouldn't even take the laptop back. She told me to keep it for parts, and i didn't have the heart to tell her there are no usable parts in it to use.

Don't buy it, cheap laptops are always a waste of money and time but this one is pretty but too slow, maybe for check email and view videos(great audio volume) and thats it. Too slow laptop.
I completely disagree that cheap laptops are *always* a waste of money. I picked up the 11.6" IdeaPad 1 with the AMD 3050e (a great dual-core, 4-thread low-end 6W processor, much better than the A6 in this laptop being reviewed) + integrated Vega 3 graphics w/4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC for $179.00. I wanted it just as a cheapie for traveling when I didn't need or want to worry about my higher-end laptops. Threw in a 500GB microSD card I had sitting around and have been using it for a little bit of everything, including gaming. I've got 44 games on the thing that run extremely well (ie, over 60fps) from first-person shooters to racing games to fighters...it's been a fantastic little machine for less than $200. And with a little $6 USB-C to barrel adapter I even have USB-C charging when I travel and don't have to bring another cable along. Also has surprisingly loud and decent audio for such a cheap thing.
There are some good deals to be had on the cheap end of things, but you have to be careful.
