Likely, you have sold the house already BUT incredible achievement, man (s)! Wow! I'm so happy for you all! I feel the joy all the more because I just finished my house (myself), listed and it sold in 2 days at list price! WHAT?! I worked my little old (female) butt off to do it all and it paid off! Happy, happy, happy! It's possible!!!
Believe it or not this video is very up-to-date. The house is not sold and going on the market soon. Keep watching and youll see what happens. At this point even we dont know... cheers!

I love your channel! You're a bit salty from time to time, but so was my favourite Uncle. Like him, you kind of despair at the shenanigans uncovered as you really get into the various projects you do around your properties. Also like him, you tell us what's wrong, why it's wrong and how to fix/do it properly. I've referred all my family to your channel to see how things should be done... most of us are not construction savvy but we're willing to swing a hammer anyway. My brother recently bought a house out in Alberta and he's found your channel very helpful. I myself am an apartment dweller, and man-oh-man do I wish you had had something to do with this building. Recently my bathroom ceiling collapsed. After I cleaned up the mess, I looked up and saw that the doorknob who installed the ceiling drove a long black either drywall or wood screw right through the the supporting 2x4 and into drainage joint up to the tub directly above mine. No Freaking Wonder why the non-water-resistant drywall they used for the ceiling turned mushy and fell into my tub. I mean !!!!! Anyway, Good Luck on Your Next Adventure, Stay Smart, and Stay Safe.

Jeff, Tile Coach on RUclips has a really good Denshield assembly for shower walls (it is Episode 21 on his channel). It is basically using the same system as you would for Kerdi board, but you substitute the Kerdi board for Dens. All edges, corners, and screws get covered with kerdi band.
Pros: Dens is cheaper than Kerdi board, and it also deflects less (stiffer substrate).
Cons: Lose the Schluter warranty. Also, you can't wet shim Dens as you can with Kerdi board.

"You can't tile directly to wood." Someone should have told that to the contractor who built my house. Just pulled up some tile in a bathroom where the grout was cracking and found it cemented straight to the subfloor. Not ready to redo that bathroom so I just re-cemented those suckers back down as a temporary fix. Guess I'm going to have move the bathroom redo up on my to do list...

Wow I really like that you show the great stuff, it's sooo amazing, but also what is more difficult like working with somebody else or the first time that didn't work, but let's find the solution. The moment where your son brings a lot of option of saw is hilarous because it was like the kind of relation that I have with my dad when I started to use tools. Now he is like : ''Oh come to my house, I want to show you something, but brings your own tools.'' because mine are so much more organize than him.

Yes it’s has been a Journey. I have follow you video since day one. The one I like the most when you’re sons and you was putting the gas burner and and it crack. It seems that very one frozen at that moment.

u do fantastic work. u r precise and detail oriented. with that said, u might want to consider getting even a "one off" consultation with designer. That bathroom has a lot of space (wasted) and still doesnt feel luxurious. which is too bad cause it does have the potential of a wow factor. Not putting tile anywhere around (behind at least) toilet is a sanitary disaster (unless there r no men in the house), neither does it look good.
it's so weird how people run down houses living in them and only fix them up nice and new to sell them and never get to really settle in and enjoy the new style
But there is always the same amount of people buying the nicely finished houses to live in. Someone gets paid to fix them, someone pays to live in them, depends what works for you.
It's tough to turn down cashing in on your investment when it's done.

My house is down to cement floor level again today, bye to the godawful tiles. Waiting on the self-leveling to set up and get started on rebuilding all the stuff I designed. There isn't even a toilet pan in the house. Hasn't looked like this since 1996. When I had it build before I was even 21. Today, kids have no chance.

Great renovation! I know you were on a timeline and a budget but not do I hate the layout of that room. I would have had a hard time not rearranging it completely.

Does anyone think its INSANE how they are installing a new rug and WALKING ALL OVER IT WITH THEIR DIRTY SHOES? Its insane, your rug isn't even new now, they dirtying it up.
