@jojorn4951 It means that fleece membrane systems shouldn't be hooked up to linear drains. A three piece traditional drain should be used when using a linear drain. Because there has been water problems with linear drains. Hooked up with fleece because the fleece becomes delaminated and leaks water, Using a traditional 3 piece will not do that.
Absolutely. Its just a small gutter underneath leading to one hole. If you dont open it up to clean it regularly they get hair and mold build up. It makes it worse if its all tile, cuz then not only do you have to clean it but you have to move the heavier tile it has on top. The bigger the shower, the bigger the drain the heavier the tile you have to move regularly.
How much does a renovation like this cost because my bathroom looks like that it’s like 4x8 not including where the tub is. The estimate costs im getting are 15k for basically just the labor and i provide materials , and then another contractor gave me a 32k estimate but would provide “high end” everything. Sounds like a joke to me . Those estimates include demo costs , decided to save 5k and demo it myself. Debating on just diying it because who tf wants to pay 15k + for a bathroom the size of a dang closet 😅
Start one tile up plus grout joints from the lowest point. Nail in 1x4 perimiter to support and tile up the wall. After that is dry then cut in your bottom row to fit.
This guy is clueless. When you replace a tub with a shower, who actually moves the new drain to the center? That's dumb. Why spend more money on a linear drain when you can just use an offset shower pan with a 'standard drain' like Schluter Kerdi?
I never thought it was unusual for the drain to be at the edge or corner of the shower tray
That was a good design, and good explanation !
lol Those long ass shoes killing me
Make sure you hook up that linear drain to a 3 piece. Traditional in and out system and not a membrane system, there's been lots of leaks.
As a service plumber People loved doing this in concert where I live lol

What does😊😊 that even mean?

Very convenient ❤
These flips are hurting the housing market, too.
I hear those require a lot of maintenance and cleaning.

Any videos on this remodel?

That bathroom with doing you own demo shouldn’t cost more than $8k
That's exactly where it's supposed to be if it's actual top notch work. between 9-17 k
Im currently remodeling 2 full baths for 6k labor only including demo
>to your flip
Why do you assume it's a flip and not just home renovations?
Is this the guy from Grandma's Boy!? 😂😂😂😂😂
JP 😂
just slope the shower floor to the left ?
Yes
Can you please tell me the name of the tile in the walls of the shower or where to get them please thank you I would appreciate that
I would like to know as well!!
how do you compensate for the uneven first piece of tile on the back wall..?
Start one tile up plus grout joints from the lowest point. Nail in 1x4 perimiter to support and tile up the wall. After that is dry then cut in your bottom row to fit.
What is the paint you use to seal the shower before you put the tiles?
It's a waterproofing membrane. There's different brands. Most popular is redguard but most big box stores have similar stuff
But now no more bubble baths ,no more bomb showers ....sad...
Hate drains in the middle. Don't want to be stepping on it. And linear drains look good but collect guck. Use a traditional drain on one side.
Smart
What is the size of that shower?
Doesn’t make sense, still go to have a drain connection.
I think he is talking more about the simplified slope and easier tile installation. The drain connection will still need to exist.
Your shoes😂😂😂

Drain in the center is ugly and impractical.
