@7:35, what an amazing moment of honesty from Chris Cornell. It's awesome to hear what an artist actually thinks about their songs translating live. Most of today's mainstream artists don't write songs that are challenging enough to worry about how they're going to go over live. Or they have way too much ego to admit that the odd single is a sleeper.
I've seen so many interview clips with these two now, and I've noticed that Kim, a dude who really likes to chat when he's comfortable, will nearly always defer to Chris if Chris wants to talk. I think he's just being polite and space-giving to the person who is much less naturally inclined to feel social.
If you love SG the only way to listen is full blast on the road to San Luis de Obispo near the Hearst castle. Loud love/Crazy Love who else could sing Van Morrison. Kim Thayil is one of the best rock guitar legends. I think I know excellence growing up hearing Frank& Norman Marino, Paul de L Hardwood of Mahogany Rush. All we had to do was run from school to the town square. Beautiful music every day for free.Thank you for the life changing guitar jam sessions. You will always be our heroes.
Chris had bags under his eyes. He looked quite tired. One could say that his weary state led to SG's breakup. Fatigue can mean a guy needs a break from the rat race. SG had only been super huge for a few years. Before Superunknown the band was much more obscure.
jaxflfreebird in another interview at the Grammys he was asked since they were just on tour did he plan on going back to the studio and recording more or just taking a break. His face looked like he was thinking oh God a break would be nice but he said while touring it takes time away from recording new material and getting the next album out. Seems he traded alcoholism for workaholism for as long as he could. RIP Chris..
+Spashaei Agreed. I've seen Chris typed as ISFP, but I'm almost positive he's an INFP. Of course, I'm an INFP, so I'm going to want him to be the same as me. My reasoning is that he has avoidant tendencies that are more common in INFPs than ISFPs. Also, INFPs are more focused on possibilities, while ISFPs tend to live in the moment. What do you suppose Kim is? My guess is INTP.
TheNightmare75II not sure but I seen him in real life after a show and he was a really moody guy lol. Not friendly at all. haha...me and 2 people waited after a show and he didn't stop for 2 seconds. We were bummed.
They are loud, but good loud!

He's never been like other artists.
Their music accompanied my life since I first heard them.....enriched my life!!!
Same here❤
RIP to this great man. Too bad we won't hear any more from soungarden
That was a few months before they disbanded the first time, R. I. P Chris, Miss You So Much!!
I was born in the wrong time, what I would have given to see bands like Zep and Soundgarden live.
I hope you were able to at some point after you wrote the comment
unfortunately, like me,you'll be old now, which sucks...but it was excellent to have those experiences...
My God I still miss you so damn much...
kim is very intelligent
Yeah, you can read via body language that Kim wants to speak much more than he is allowed. Chris seems kinda wired.

They all are. That's the beauty of the band.
they need to release that pre-sup pop material...a few albums worth of EARLY stuff even demo quality would be insane!!
Are you referring to Echo of Miles? If so then that got released back in 2014. I think it has some pre sub-pop gems in it
@@hps69 there’s still more that didn’t make it on echo of miles tho
been a fan since 1988 and would have loved to see more insightful interviews like this back then.
one of the best SG interviews, straight forwards questions, the guys seemed intrested to talk, unlinke other interviews.. thanks for posting
Right? The interviewer did a great job and Chris and Kim were very open and comfortable.
