  • Watch for a presentation on a recent study exploring relationships between drought, soil health and agricultural productivity launched with the support of the Colorado Ag Water Alliance, Atlantic Aviation, Colorado River District and Colorado Water Conservation Board.
This innovative watershed collaborative with local ranchers is embarking on this study in hopes that it will reveal clues about how they can better manage their land under dry conditions as the Colorado River basin continues to struggle under the effects of climate change and historic drought.
The study is looking at factors such as mechanical aeration, biochar application, and varying irrigation amounts in participating grass and alfalfa fields.
    Featured speakers:
    - Heather Tattersall Lewin, Director of Science and Policy for Roaring Fork Conservancy
    - Seth Mason, founder and principal Hydrologist at Lotic Hydrological
    - Brendan Doran, owner/operator of Turnabout Ranch
