Today marked one of the saddest days in music for me, Chris Cornell was not only a vocal genius but also a living lyrical masterpiece in my opinion... He was and probably always will be my biggest musical inspiration, if it wasn't for him I certainly would have never become a singer - just wish I could've met him.
I know how you feel. I had the honor of meeting him twice in 2007 and both have been great memories for me. Today is one of the worst days of my life. Soundgarden got me through my younger years.
I remember in the West Coast tour you did in 2016 (in Seattle) you asked if Chris Cornell had been on that stage. He had played there. I like to think that was meaningful.
I'm not going to pretend I was his biggest fan or anything, but there was a time that "Slaves And Bulldozers" was the heaviest song I could think of. It still slays to this day!
I just got a sterling majesty about 4 weeks ago and I can't put it down. don't get me wrong, I would love a MM but the sterling still kicks ass for a budget guitar!
Well, compared to a normal Musicman a Sterling Majesty is a 'budget guitar'. But calling a €1.100+ guitar a 'budget guitar' might be streching it a little. That being said, I had the pleasure of borrowing my mates Sterling JP60 for a week. Now I want one...
I like how rob doesn't even have to play a groove or some kind of rythm. Just as soon as he plays with a clean tone, even a chord is enough for him to start moving around...
I don't remember ever hearing anything like the magnetic and piezo pickups combined for the clean tone. Thanks, I already wanted the blue one but now I will be dreaming of it. Cheers, boys!
What a great way of using smaller flamed maple pieces than regular guitars and still making it look great. The shape somehow reminds me of the old Ibanez Artfield AFD
Great sounding guitar. I don't listen to Dream Theater, I really don't know who John Petrucci is and I don't go for signature guitars. But damn is this an awesome guitar! I already placed an order for one and can't wait until it gets here!
Piezoelectric Effect is the ability of certain materials to generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress. The word Piezoelectric is derived from the Greek piezein, which means to squeeze or press, and piezo, which is Greek for “push”. (If you squeeze a piezo electric material electricity comes out.)
I went Musicman, I have not gone back, by far my favourite guitars, got my Majesty from Andertons last year, it would take pride of place before any future first borns.
As the main guitar demonstrator of andertons who also teaches, plays in a band, and has a pretty successful RUclips Chanel with almost 200M views, rob probably makes a lot of money
Man, I've been waiting for this demo for so long. Thanks for doing this, guys! I completely missed the interview with John in my sub box for some reason, I'm glad you linked it in the description. I'm going to watch that next. I think Lee should listen to the new Dream Theater stuff, especially from "The Astonishing" and "A Dramatic Turn of Events" if he hasn't already, I think he'd be surprised with the sound they've been going for in the past few years. They've been experimenting quite a lot and creating some really nice music, especially with clean tones and orchestral pieces. There's still a lot of Prog Metal because that's what DT is always going to be about but it's not just that. Then again, I'm a die-hard fan so I'm biased.
Own 3 Majesty 7 strings, one in glacial frost, one in polar noir, and the last in arctic dream. I also own a JP15-7 with the quilt top. Hands down, the best set of guitars ever made. Can't get enough of them and hopefully I can get ahold of a monarchy soon!
hey Robert Chapman how about a hollow body or a semi hollow-body Chapman guitar? Fuck it is a sad day in music, he showed us how to live! Why is all my best music dieing. R.I.P. Chris Cornell
I own one for a while now and it's so good I don't play any other guitar anymore. I'm actually thinking about selling the rest of my guitars and getting a better amp.
Thank God I discovered this channel, It's the best!!, I always learn a lot while I watch two amazing guitar players, thanks a lot 🤘🏻 Greetings from Tabasco, México 🇲🇽
They did a boatload of these, and I mean A LOT of these already back from 2011 to 2013, on every level. Check it out, they have many comparisons back then.
at last :D i always want to see you demo the Majesty... i Guess the monarchy is just about the same :) Its nice seeing a familiar face demoing this stuff since im never gonna be able to afford it anyways :D
hi Rob could you please do a review of your new ML-1 traditional standard ? if I don't get the chance to hear what it's like I will probably go buy a sterling cutlass . but I would rather see what these new tasty strats of yours are like !
In 1974, Music Man guitars were made by George Fullerton and Leo Fender; Ernie Ball starved them out by not placing guitar orders after he bought the company, which is why George and Leo went on to start G&L Guitars. Music Man started out as an amp company, founded by two former Fender employees who left with Leo's blessing.
Dear Chappers and Captain I wonder if you would make a video about guitar maintenance and everything related (cleaning, maintenance products, etc.) Thanks in advance
This was one of your better reviews, although I wish there was less wah and echo effects so we could just hear the guitar as it is. And yes, Chris Cornell was an awesome singer.

We'll said rob couldn't agree more , he was one of them you wished if only you could sing and write as good .and look as good .
I am exactly the same as you Rob. He was the reason I started singing. A great singer and songwriter.
Another fantastic music man i can't afford.
Pieter Haenen Get the Sterling's man. Great guitars for the money!
Sure, but the Sterling version of the Majesty doesn't have the piezo pickup or the wicked trem.
I just got a sterling majesty about 4 weeks ago and I can't put it down. don't get me wrong, I would love a MM but the sterling still kicks ass for a budget guitar!

That being said, I had the pleasure of borrowing my mates Sterling JP60 for a week. Now I want one...
Agreed. I have two Sterlings, and I love them.
You know what they say, 'once you've gone music man neck, there's no returning from that orientation of your ergonomic hand preference.'
It’s true, my sterling majesty has ruined almost every other type of guitar for me
Did anyone else notice the water bottle vaporize at 11:41 great editing work Rory.
James Fall yeah me too I noticed it
Music Man is one of the few guitar companies that makes something truly unique. Not easy to do.
I like how rob doesn't even have to play a groove or some kind of rythm. Just as soon as he plays with a clean tone, even a chord is enough for him to start moving around...
That's the smoothest and most inspired I've ever seen rob play! Must be the mm neck ;-)
Finally, I wanted a video about any JP guitar for a while.
Cool to see a Majesty played on here. Been enjoying mine for the last 2 years. Amazing guitars.
One of my fave videos to watch when dumping a heavy load
It's about time! The Majesty is probably the best electric guitar I've ever played.
Jonathan Sefcik true, same for me... just need to save up some money now :/
RIP Chris Cornell... easily one of my favorite singers ever. I think I can speak for most, if not all of us when I say we will miss you...
'Knobs are nice' - Lee Anderton 2017
Dream achieved.....just got my Majesty BFR Bali Blue Burst a couple days ago...finally have a date with it tomorrow....gonna be a good day!
how does it play?
@@davidlindquist1499 It's definately one of if not the smoothest playing guitar I have played so far anyway by far.
@@boosk2127 did you get it new or used? And how was the action when it came to you ?
@@davidlindquist1499 new, but I had it redone anyway because I had a bit of buzz on the low E.
I don't know how you've managed to somehow get even better with your playing whilst having a son at the same time, but somehow you've managed it!
Danny Pulleyn thank you dude Theo is a big inspiration and has given me much more purpose :-)
5:50 confirmed: Chappers likes feeling and moving knobs
I don't remember ever hearing anything like the magnetic and piezo pickups combined for the clean tone. Thanks, I already wanted the blue one but now I will be dreaming of it. Cheers, boys!
I love the banter of these guys
I know rob is a huge cornell fan so he must be devastated 😞
He is. They added an Audioslave song to their setlist for tonight's Dorje show to pay tribute :(
He said on facebook that he is gutted, as Chris was his biggest musical inspiration.
Yes john petrucci is a beast
absolute stunning tones and playing from rob at 15.40
What a great way of using smaller flamed maple pieces than regular guitars and still making it look great. The shape somehow reminds me of the old Ibanez Artfield AFD
Man, I really wish I lived in the UK. These guys are awesome.
11:42 Nice magic trick with the water bottle! Oh, and btw, I love the Majesty series!!
Enjoyed your playing very much!!! Love how you hit the pentatonic scale with that speed!!! Sounded great!!!
Definitely some of the best playing I've seen from Rob!
With great reviews comes cheers for you two!
After 3 long years I finally have enough to buy this thing lol
11:42 Captain's water bottle explodes. Nice touch.
I love my Majesty. Can't put it down. It's the best guitar I've ever played.
i feel like robs son has yet been the biggest inspiration for his music yet!
Annnnnnnd he's back!!!
Men Binal hi men binal
men binal coming in with the like
Where's me jumpa?
One of my favorite guitars! Love the comfort and tones and features.
The Majesty reminds me of the late 90s Parker Fly.
Great sounding guitar. I don't listen to Dream Theater, I really don't know who John Petrucci is and I don't go for signature guitars. But damn is this an awesome guitar! I already placed an order for one and can't wait until it gets here!
Bo88y Beretta then you should really check out John Petrucci's music, both solo and with Dream Theater
He's one of the best guitarists to walk this earth, he is absolutely astonishing what he can produce (no pun intended)
Bo88y Beretta Also check out Liquid tension experiment.
How do you like it? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one tomorrow.
Best sounding and looking guitar I've seen. Love it
amazing playing from Rob, amazing beautiful guitar !

Rob Shredman is back
I can't stand when he shreds. Very unmusical.
RickJason it's fun. and it shows the articulation of the guitar. it can be useful sometimes, but it is over used a lot.
I went Musicman, I have not gone back, by far my favourite guitars, got my Majesty from Andertons last year, it would take pride of place before any future first borns.
You know it's a great guitar, when they even appreciate the knobs this much
As the main guitar demonstrator of andertons who also teaches, plays in a band, and has a pretty successful RUclips Chanel with almost 200M views, rob probably makes a lot of money
That feeling when you wait for another video and it comes out!
Everyone needs one music man guitar in their arsenal. Amazing instruments
Luke Jernigan But some of us can't afford to pay a car payment for a guitar. Not in this day and age.
The Shredding is back! HELL YEAH!
Damn they sound good. Please Anderton's, do other Music Man guitars too!
Man, I've been waiting for this demo for so long. Thanks for doing this, guys! I completely missed the interview with John in my sub box for some reason, I'm glad you linked it in the description. I'm going to watch that next.

Hi Rob, please do another video of your factory trip - that one you did years ago in Korea is still my fave of your videos. Cheers.
Great job red dwarf sounding 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Own 3 Majesty 7 strings, one in glacial frost, one in polar noir, and the last in arctic dream. I also own a JP15-7 with the quilt top.
Hands down, the best set of guitars ever made. Can't get enough of them and hopefully I can get ahold of a monarchy soon!
hey Robert Chapman how about a hollow body or a semi hollow-body Chapman guitar?
Fuck it is a sad day in music, he showed us how to live! Why is all my best music dieing. R.I.P. Chris Cornell
Jacob Baranowski I know man such a sad day :-(
Yes Robert chapman we do indeed need a chapman guitars company semi hollow-body guitar. Also rip Chris Cornell very sad.
DamageIncM I am just going to ceep asking until he is going to respond.
I own one for a while now and it's so good I don't play any other guitar anymore. I'm actually thinking about selling the rest of my guitars and getting a better amp.
Thank God I discovered this channel, It's the best!!, I always learn a lot while I watch two amazing guitar players, thanks a lot 🤘🏻
Greetings from Tabasco, México 🇲🇽
Rob's shredding is finally appropriate!
This is a beautiful guitar! I love this guitar:)
I love JP and his playing, but I enjoyed Rob's demo of the Majesty much more!
Just put a majesty precious metal series on lay away today, can't wait to get it!
Rob really kills it, makes that Majesty looks easier to play! Fucking awesome guitar player! Greetings from Mexico lml lml
plz do a video on the yamaha pacifica
This is craftmanship at the highest magnitude .. also rip Chris Cornell
that vanishing water bottle was absolutely awesome
I reckon this is one of the best sounding guitars you've both played 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gibson Les Paul vs Epiphone Les Paul Same Humbuckers Challenge PLEASE
They did a boatload of these, and I mean A LOT of these already back from 2011 to 2013, on every level. Check it out, they have many comparisons back then.
That tone was actually very nice, at least to my ears.
Like your reviews but would like to hear more clean tone examples on this guitar as well as others. Some consideration for non-shred genres please!
Should do videos on the entire EBMM range. Wanna know what you guys make of the St Vincent!
Bea looked ridiculously comfortable playing that guitar
Rob, you're doing that guitar more justice then John himself did in the official Ernie Ball channel video.
Not all guitarists are super into the vanity side of things. I like everything to be as simple as possible.
the push'push and push'pull button seems nice to have 😄🎸
Y el botón del boost solo se puede apreciar tocando con la banda, para saber si realmente cortará a través de un mezcla en vivo.
what a beautiful guitar
Captain, the shield was Sterling Ball's idea. I saw John say that.
If I close my eyes while you're playing in the beginning, I can almost imagine you're Petrucci. You've got the sound and the note choices!
My interest in music man is peaked!
That is the sexiest thing I have ever heard.
at last :D i always want to see you demo the Majesty... i Guess the monarchy is just about the same :) Its nice seeing a familiar face demoing this stuff since im never gonna be able to afford it anyways :D
It feels GREAT
triple dosage....saw them yesterday in Vienna, a change of seasons was insane
0:10 I thought he was about to play Pull me Under’s solo
Just briliant! :-)
hi Rob could you please do a review of your new ML-1 traditional standard ? if I don't get the chance to hear what it's like I will probably go buy a sterling cutlass . but I would rather see what these new tasty strats of yours are like !
I think more companies should use the push push nobs. That seems alot faster and better ease of access
I want that so much!
Rob played the #%& out of that guitar. Love it
Fuck yeah. Finally. Great review.
the water bottle @ 11:42 puffed into smokeeeeeee
Where's Pete's part? :-). Awesome guitar. I'd like to hear Rabea do one on this too. It's right up his alley.
Is guitar looks art 🎨
I'm guessing we should see the V130 demo soon since its on the Chalkboard! Yes I know I waited too long to watch
I saw the cup effect!! Very funny.
I think Rob and Lee need to revisit the custom guitar build with a budget of 1,000 of the Queens Imperial Credits.
it would be nice to hear the clean tones that aren't from the piezo pickup more. Lots of demos only show its distorted tone.
It seems like Lee has been playing less and less in the newer videos. I miss it. them jamming together was glorious
Dear Chappers and Captain
I wonder if you would make a video about guitar maintenance and everything related (cleaning, maintenance products, etc.)
Thanks in advance
This was one of your better reviews, although I wish there was less wah and echo effects so we could just hear the guitar as it is.
And yes, Chris Cornell was an awesome singer.
Would love to see a demo of the sterling by music man version for this guitar
you should always include Rabea on the reviews !
Most old guys wear cargo shorts but you rock cargo shorts!

Fantastic Superhans reference
