Why is no one pointing out the fact that the "Megadork" poster at 3:05 is a reference to "Megadeath" and the caricature is of Ozzy Osbourne? (even though he wasn't in that band)
Random Note: the shots were toy mode Woody has his mouth open is the famous "Default Face Woody", its basically the mouth shape the model was originally made in, probably to model the mouth a little easier. Thats my Ted talk.
10:19 reminds me of HIMYM though I saw that one coming when I saw the episode but in 1995 I was only 8 lol but it is nice to see these easter eggs as an adult who thinks its cool now lol
Another explanation for Woody's possible knowledge of Morse Code is his cowboy persona. Morse Code was first used in 1844 and soon became the premier mode of communication for railroads in the United States. Woody is a cowboy toy modelled on 1950s Western programming, as is his TV show, and as Morse Code was very much in use in the setting of these shows (1865-1890, roughly) he might have had an innate knowledge of it.
I think it's amazing that R. Lee Ermey, a Marine, played a role as an Army man in a movie where he was a Marine Gunnery Sergeant, who was a Drill Instructor at MCRD. It's even more amazing because the Army doesn't have Gunnery Sergeants, or Drill Instructors.
Andy's 6th birthday? I think Andy is supposed to be between the ages of 9-11 years old, the only reason he has Mr. Potato Head, Bo Peep & a bunch of other pre-school (ha ha) toys is because of his baby sister.
9:21 Whoa. If Babyface was saying Redrum, then he was probably telling Woody that Sid was going back to his room and take to his yard another one of his toys and torture them like Buzz, similar to how Danny Torrance said the word repetitive times to warn Wendy that Jack was going to kill them in The Shining.
Technically there are 4 books of note. "The adventure of Andre and wally b" is the yellow book behind woody, which is credited as Pixar's very first short. And Red's dream is also up there, another extremely early Pixar short.
Yeah, and both of them were directed by John Lassetter and both of them predate Toy Story. Knick Knack and Tin Toy were actually the LAST two Pixar shorts produced before Toy Story.
Dang, Sid's dad must've been a cheapskate. I didn't notice it until I re-watched the part at 1:29, but there's a pair of channellock pliers with what looks like duct-tape used to hold it in place on the TV.
definitely not a cheapskate, they're just somewhat poor, his dad probably has a DIY mindset and how easy do you think it is to find a replacement knob for a, at the time, 20 to 30 year old TV anyway
I just watched MoM and found 1 detail what I havent found in any breakdown video I watched on RUclips so pls make one video about this. At the scene where Wanda takes Wong to Mount Wundagore they meet the 4 giants and 2 of the giants have snow on them and 2 doesnt. Its because the 2 were outside in the snow and 2 were inside. And you can see that again when the dead Dr. Strange arrives and also when Wong stabbs one in the face. there also 2 were outside guarding in the snow and that is why they have snow on their body and 2 were inside so they dont have any snow on their body. I tryed to send you an email but you didnt gave us an email addres, you should add one so we could contact you!
I feel like everyone can pick up on this one but when slinky defends woody after potatohead says that “he’s been Andy’s favorite since kindergarten” potatohead takes off his mouth and smacks it against his butt, with me spell laughing at the gesture.
actually no, its a reference to another Pixar short named " Red's dream" and you can even see another in the yellow book "The adventures of André" which is a refference to the first true Pixar short " The adventures of Andre and Wally B"
Pixar stopped using John Ratzenberger in Soul where he appears as a background character in the movie itself. Since then he hasn't been in the movies and apparently aimator Peter Sohn as been taken over as the new Ratzenberger. Hope Ratzenberger isn't too upset about it.
In the real world it would take us many years after the movie to get a buzz with a communicator like in the 95 movie but as far as I have noticed we still haven’t gotten a buzz with both the communicator and kung foo action like the movie and Tom hanks only voiced the movie woody he didn’t voice the merchandise version his brother is the actual voice of the woody toys thst talk
Good Video, but R. Lee Ermey was in the Marines, and in Full Metal Jacket it was the Marine Corp not the Army.
I have to wonder how many dislikes this video got because he said Gunny Hartman was in the Army?
@@shawnratashak1296 Only 31 so far

at 2:15, when Buzz is aiming his laser at Woody, he's not actually pressing the button XD
From Buzz's POV, he's only threatening Woody, not trying to shoot him.
I think it's just a Buzz Lightyear feature where the laser idles when you put his wrist down.
0:36 I always noticed that as a kid and I felt like an absolute legend for doing that
00:08:46 When he says "Dot and Dash", This is a reference to the PBS Kids mascot, Dash and Dot.
I also noticed sarge is staring through binoculars that are completely solid
How'd he do dat
don't question it man
It’s Toy vision exclusive
“Toy Story is where it all began for Pixar Animation studios”
The Adventures of André and Wally B: “Am I a joke to you?”
First FULL LENGTH animated feature not a short
Let's also _not_ forget that R. Lee Ermey was in _Texas Chainsaw Massacre._

"See this hat? I am Mrs. Nesbitt" 😆
Who else had an ad for Lightyear?
The army guys aren’t in Toy Story 4 because R. Lee Ermey died before the movie was made
that and they bailed at the start of Toy Story 3
Yes, I think I did catch the fact that Andy’s toys come to life when people aren’t around.
That’s right only this isn’t the first time that’s ever been done-the Raggedy Ann and Andy stories did that too.
10:19 reminds me of HIMYM though I saw that one coming when I saw the episode but in 1995 I was only 8 lol but it is nice to see these easter eggs as an adult who thinks its cool now lol
Sid Phillips Tortures Toys
JUST FOR FUN!!!
2:48
Sid tells Woody "we have ways of making you talk"
Well, he certainly succeeds by the end of the movie!
All of the books in the background in the meeting scene are pixar shorts because I have them all on disk
If One of the toys in Toy story died the toys would know but the kids would keep playing with the corpse.

I find it funny the "Arhhh" out the window is only quoting 1 movie. When it's been in hundreds lol
1:54 did anyone see Dinoco from cars?
You did miss one of the book’s titles, “Red’s Dream” which is another animated Pixar short about a red unicycle
but the aoutor of the book is reeves could this be a refference to Matrix too?

I’m surprised they didn’t include luxo jr because that was another short animated film before Toy Story back in (1986) by Pixar
Well, that was Pixar’s first movie to be for 1-2 hours or so. The early Pixar movies were shorts
