Relating to when Zurg revealed to Buzz that he is his father, in the Lightyear movie when the future Buzz exits the robot Zurg, Buzz calls him dad.
I thought that was a nice nod to this movie
Did you know that: Late Animator, Chuck Jones (one of Director, John Lasseter’s influences) saw “Toy Story 2”, and after the release, he wrote a letter to Lasseter writing to him on how much he loved the film, the animation, and especially the character of Jessie. Lasseter has the letter framed at his house.
When I first saw Toy Story 2 in theaters, I brought my Woody doll with me. My mom told me that when Woody's arm first got ripped, I was horrified and upset and I kept looking at my Woody doll's arm to see if it was ripped. I think my parents thought it was cute how I was doing that.

@@ShubiToorus Neither, I still have Woody, and I have already graduated from college. I stopped taking him places with me about a couple of years before I turned 10, maybe a little longer. But I was very close to that doll when I was a little kid, and I'm glad that I still have him. I also have toys of Buzz Lightyear, Bullseye, and Slinky Dog.

In the TV flipping-channel scene, there were also commercials Pixar made back in the day.
1) I never noticed these before. 2) Buzz uses that same salute in Toy Story 1

Easter Eggs you missed: At the start when Mrs. Potato Head is introduced, you can see the book that she read to Little Tots is actually A Bug's Life from the picture. Earlier you can see when Rex plays the Buzz Lightyear video game that Andy has A Bug's Life calendar on the wall. At Al's Toy Barm before finds the Buzz Lightyear aisle, there are A Bug's Life toys, most predominantly Dot and Dim.
During the fight between Bonus Belt Buzz and Zurg, Zurg hits Buzz into the part of the elevator while the voice box goes "Buzz... Buzz... Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!" just like when Woody hits Buzz in Toy Story 1 during their fight at the gas station.

12:18 Well, that hand sign comes from the Jewish religion. That’s the hand sign that Jews make when they are praying. I know this because I’m Jewish and that hand sign is even in a Haggadah that my family reads every year at Passover.
So, even though the filmmakers were trying to reference Star Trek, in reality Buzz was technically praying to his doppelgänger.
Leonard Nimoy was Jewish, and when Star Trek writer/director Gene Roddenberry asked him to come up with a Vulcan greeting and farewell gesture for Spock to use, Nimoy drew inspiration from his own religious background.

You may not have known this, but the hand gesture for live long and prosper came from Leonard Nimoy and his Jewish background. It came from the Aaronic Blessing that the Rabbi would give. Look up ‘Aaronic Blessing hand sign.’
