The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021
Gotta love it when ripping your suit before the race throws you off so you look unhappy even though you’ve won. Milak definitely wanted a WR with that gold. Reminds me of MP in 2008 in the same event; goggles filled up, didn’t swim the time he wanted, still won gold.
how do you know this?details?
@@maxmalakhovets9262 he said after the swim, and a lot of interview, before the race (15minutes) ripped, he had to change that, he was nervous, he was sweaty. I am sure he will beat his world record at 2024, that is gonna be his carreer peek, as Phelps had, as all big swimmers had.
He also sad, it was not that olimpia he wanted, there was no audience what made strange to him in that situation, he feel more confortable with audience. His srength is the acidification. When others have pain like loosing leg or something at the last 50/25, he has just a little pain like a small needle (it is just my example) but the coaches sad about him about the acidification.
That is what make him strong and fast, he has a lot of potential, he is a born star. He will do big things.
And after the match, he was not happy because he did not beat his record, he wanted that (not because he is opinionated). He is more hungry for that from anyone…
Tomoro Honda is an inspiration to all of the short swimmers who want to be the best.
HONKY! PHELPS! THE! (G,O,A,T)! IS! (INCREDIBLE)! HONKY! HA! HA! HA!
who expect to win against honda in a 50 100 200
Tomoru Honda isn't short
at all,so Maggie Mc Neil
isn't short all...
@@kegelchen32 He's average height in other words, he's very short compared to olympic swimmers for example Milak is 1.9m/6foot 2 Honda is 1.72/5foot8, pretty small for an olympic swimming silver medalist.
Yeah usually coaches would say if you're not at least 6 foot you ain't making the Olympics
Kristof Milak is just 21 years old! He has a bright future ahead!
i remember chad le clos looking at both sides at the 150m turn at london 2012 but he has nothing to look at this time at 150m turn lmao
He unfortunately doesn't really like swimming and wants to do other stuffs.
Not with marchand being around anymore 😂😂😂
He lost to marchand
The silver guy seems the happiest one.😂
Getting silver to Kristof in the 200 fly is sort of like getting silver to Michael Phelps in the 200 fly. Silver is basically golden to that man.
@@CarlsCozyCorner And he was out of lane 8.
@@swimmingrobot1219 he's also 5' 8
@@friedchicken4700 which is pretty incredible achievement with that short height against Eiffel tower Swimmers!
His lane is just 8, in 1st 150m he's not in the best 3
The expression of milak's and his team is the reason why he is a champion. Great mind set honestly
tomoru honda was in 8th lane, "8th", he is 172 cms tall, only 172, he still managed to bag silver, hats offf!!!
Thats crazy with that height. He must have to absolute perfect technique.
@@Falquiboy his lactic acid tolerance is probably freakishly high too. His muscles are also probably smaller than an athlete like Ben Proud who is built more like a powerlifter than a swimmer. His lactic acid from swimming is probably lower than a bigger swimmer. His technique is beautiful too and extremely efficient.
I suppose he conserves more energy than the others but other than that there are no advantages.
@@aculturedspecimen yes that too, that’s an advantage for smaller swimmers
Japanese people are strong beef eaters, they don't give the 'asian' excuse like Indians, we are asian how come we beat Americans and Europeans, instead they eat beef, train like an animal and win medals. Go Japan!🇯🇵
A 200 fly WR holder who also can go sub 50 at 100 fly, insane!
he went 49.68
Michael Phelps also did this
Yes, you are right.
Milak is faster than Phelps is both 100m and 200m fly.
@@saiwolaw2842 in not is
@@saiwolaw2842 No, 100m Caeleb Dressel
Honda is pretty small to be a swimmer, about 5'9 according to google, but he managed to win silver. Glad for him! He looked joyfull
5’8, insanity and his Japanese teammate Daiya Seto who is 5’9 amazes me… gives me motivation as a 5’9 swimmer
He’s 5’7 actually
@@Tydown130 he’s 5’7
@@Tydown130 me as a 5'10 swimmer, we can take take these Japanese swimmers as a motivation for Swimming!
He’s a true champion
Gotta make a thug life meme with Milák in the water after winning the gold. It's as if he didn't even care 😂
His suit ripped right before the race. He wasn’t happy with the time because he was looking to break a world record and thats why he didn’t look happy. Kind of like Michael Phelps in Beijing when his goggles filled up with water in the 200m butterfly.
Absolutely would have destroyed the world record. He later showed he had much more easy speed with a huge PB in the 100. That should transfer into a solid improvement in the 200 as well
The best ever at this distance and a contender at the 100 distance also. Milak is likely the only man who can swim sub 1:50 in this event over the next 20 years. WR at 1:50.73, and even then it wasn't a perfect race, and he still has some room for improvement.
He has hell of a lot to improve, he is 21 yro!!! He is, and will be, an absolute specimen in the 200 fly
20 years is a very long time. Highly unlikely no one else would go under 1.50
Within the next 20 years plenty of athletes will swim under 1'50".
thomas heilman will
Kristof Milak did new WR,
1,50:39,WAC Budapest...
milak not only the best in swimming but aso a handsome
Congratulations to Honda!!!
THE BEST MILAK❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kristof is "cold" and "weird" in the comments, but that's what makes him so cute.
I don't think he is cold or weird, he has an exceptional character, he is very straighforward who speaks his mind, and he knows exactly what he wants to do. Great man.
@@flywings111 of course, that's why I added ""
Milak didn’t look too happy, I know it wasn’t his fastest swim but he has to give himself credit.
Let's hope he will learn to be happy about what he did achieve and we will see his tears of joy ❤
My shoulder hurts just watching this
I like his seriousness and straightforwardness. He talks with his work rather than using too much words, spares no time for unneeded things. I'm on the European side. Swimming is unfortunately becoming a show...
We still love you, Chad!
Fantasztikus teljesítmény!
everyone who swam in the olympics are amazing,, congratulations!
Hajrá Kristóf Magyarország veled van köszönjük
❤
Milák said in an interview he gave to the Hungarian media.
"I wasn't disappointed because I didn't swim a world record, let's make that clear. I was disappointed because I couldn't give my best and I wasn't in a position to give my best."
His coach said,
"This frosty look was not necessarily because it wasn't a world record, but because he saw that Tomi (Tamás Kenderesi) finished fourth. He wanted to see him on the podium."
Crystal clear water, beautifully filmed! A super video.
Ich kann nicht oft genug anschauen wie er schwimmt. Genial
❤
Chad Le Clos thought he can repeat this gold medal feat by looking left and right in the last 25m.
haha thats what I thought
'look at all the people who are going past me!'
I think the Hungarian coaches were disappointed because kenderesi didn't get a medal not the milak didn't get the wr
Kriiiiiiistof..... Miss you so much what are you doing now??? Come back to race in ISL PLZ
When will the rest of the finals be up? There seems to be only a selection going up and I'm sure we'd like to see all of them please?
Props to Honda!!!! Unbelievable race!

Milak: -_-
honda is 5'6 btw which is insane for swimming
5'7*
5'8**

The hardest swimming event...FACT.
Kristof Milak is the best
True champion!
I really wanted more praise for Honda! What a comeback!! They always focus on the middle lanes and who’s winning, always talking about Chad Le Clos.
Milak is unstoppable
He is so cool even after winning hahaha
1:02 why he looking at me like that
Interesting race. Leader in lap 1, conserved his energy in the 2nd and sealed it in the last 2. He should do 50m as well
50 fly is not in the Olympics but may be some other events
That's crazy to swim 200m butterfly.
A girl who used to swim with me in the 1980s swam 1500m butterfly in training with no breaks.
Genius. He takes under 1:50
Please upload all of the final race
I've being asking this question for ages, since they released the first videos 🤦
Thanks for FINALLY uploading this😅❤

Is it just me , who watch this cuz of school work LMAO
Seeing this after he changes coach gives me concerns. What if he loses his technique? He was doing pretty good with his coach for the last 8 years IMO.
Why would he lose his technique? Coach change wont effect that..as you can see he did it.
Waiting for the Women's 200
the most unhappy 1st time olympic champion ever lol
Hajra magyarok
Incredible I'm really love you.
6:05 Le Clos is fading away since 2012 :D
Missed the voice of the male commentetor of London and Rio
The Japanese organisers used the so-called Eastern name order (surname first, given name second) for the Japanese swimmer. Why didn't they use it for the two Hungarian swimmers as well? We also use the surname first and the given name second unlike any other nation in Europe. So: MILÁK Kristóf, and KENDERESI Tamás.
Maybe for them they only make difference between east Asia and The rest of the world. Hungary is the country from the west so. And the way they write western names is like first letter of the first name + last name in katakana, for example, for Caeleb Dressel is C. ドレッセル(Dressel). It would be weird if they have to reverse the Hungarian names because it will then turn into something like M. クリストフ (Kristof), and people will find it weird. Because Kristof is a given name and it's hard to tell who he is. That's why in Japanese for all names in Latin letters/romaji, they will have to keep the same first name+ last name order, I guess.
@@Yu-oi2jm If you watched this video, the names of all 8 swimmers were given in the Latin alphabet, only capital letters were used, but the family name was written in larger capitals. So this has nothing to do with katakana. The name of the Japanese swimmer was given in the Eastern name order, but you could see that the surname came first, since those letters were larger. So it could have been done for the two Hungarian swimmers as well.
Although we are accustomed to our names being written in the foreign way outside Hungary.
@@pannonia77 oh I thought you spoke about how it is in Jp television. Yes sure they should adapt that.
Because saying the last name before the first name is weird.
@@zabag For you, perhaps. For us Hungarians - and Japanese, Chinese, Korean etc. - is not weird, it is natural.
Dude is not even tired 😐
I can't even swim in this stroke lol. Amazing performance, congrats!
