Dalaloyan and Nargony putting the medals on each other is a heart melt moment. Oh my.
So nice to hear announcers who have very clearly either been commentating on men's gymnastics before and are familiar with the athletes' names, or have put in the effort and diligence to practice and be able to say the names smoothly!
Such an amazing game. It was close fight. Congrats to ROC. I'm glad that the veterans won. They really deserve it. Russia has been a runner up for so long in teams (1996 was last) and now it's their time to shine. =)

Nagornyy had the highest score of the day on FX, shockingly. Tbh they couldn't ask for more from Artur, Denis is the one who could have done a lot better.
@@SarahZi1998 he had to make up like half of it on the spot! he screwed up his third pass (did a 2.5 twist, barani, double twist instead of what he usually does - 2.5 twist, full twist, rudi), but he usually does a double twist down the side for his fifth pass. since you can't repeat elements, and he wanted to make up the difficulty he lost on his third pass, he did a triple twist down the side instead. doing a triple twist down the side is kind of insane? like he shouldn't have enough space to pull it off but he actually did. being able to do that under so much pressure... if he hadn't, ROC wouldn't have won gold

If i remember rightly, Nikita usually does a triple twist to finish but in order to get the higher difficulty score and higher points overall, he did the triple twist as his side pass and finished with a half in half out. his final two passes were improvised. brilliant thinking by Nikita. Well deserved ROC
I miss Artur, Nikita, and David. They really had beautiful gymnastics. Tokyo was probably David's last, but Nikita and a healthy Artur could have replicated or even surpassed their Tokyo triumph in Paris. Same goes with their WAG. Gelya, Vlada and Viktoria could have made women's gymnastics more competitive and exciting in Paris.

Sun Wei's vault was underscored. He has superior leg form to pretty much every MAG athlete competing and doesn't get nearly enough credit for that. Getting the same E and Xiao and only a tenth or two higher than Lin is criminal. Should've been at least a 9.4 E
The 0.3 deduction to Zou's parallel bar routine is from him forgetting to salute to judges before he starts. Xiao Run Teng also received 0.3 deduction on his final high bar routine in Individual All-Around for not saluting to judges. I'm very surprised by the lack of awareness and reminding from Chinese coaching on this issue and it happened multiple times in this Olympics that cost them at critical moments.

Anyone else experience the sound ahead of the image? I had to mute the commentary to avoid knowing how landings (etc) were going to work out.

Sun Wei's vault was underscored. He has superior leg form to pretty much every MAG athlete competing and doesn't get nearly enough credit for that. Getting the same E and Xiao and only a tenth or two higher than Lin is criminal. Should've been at least a 9.4 E
The 0.3 deduction to Zou's parallel bar routine is from him forgetting to salute to judges before he starts. Xiao Run Teng also received 0.3 deduction on his final high bar routine in Individual All-Around for not saluting to judges. I'm very surprised by the lack of awareness and reminding from Chinese coaching on this issue and it happened multiple times in this Olympics that cost them at critical moments.
Didn’t know for Zou, I thought he made a mistake during the routine.
Lesson learned for them now I guess

I prefer these commentators over NBC's anytime. They're fair, gracious, and non-biased.
It's so difficult to listen to commentary when the audio is seconds before the video footage, I feel like on the women's all around it was a bit behind the video, difficult to watch
I am in tears. The Russian team deserved it 100%.
The audio gets really desynced for me, even after reloading and on multiple devices. The commentary and the sounds of the spring board are off by 20 mins in
