He shares a coach with some of the British divers and is an honorary member of Team GB. 2-Of the British divers only Tom Daley is out and he is happily married, he talks about his husband Lance all the time

The Jamaican diver who approached them lives in London and trains with the GB Team. Regardless, Tom being Gay is not the reason Matt will concentrate on solo diving, he is close friends with Tom and his husband and whatever happens next in his career will be based solely on what he wants to do in competition.

To be fair! T. D. is just nothing but the effin’ lucky that’s all! HE’S DESERVED THE SIVLER NOT GOLD He’s won the Gold medal just 1.23 points more than China team. He’s scored 101.01 for the 3.7 difficulty tariff.
But China Team repeatedly made the same mistakes again and again by chosen the silly 3.6 (instead of 3.7 or even 3.8) difficulty, that’s why at the end short 1.23 points although they’ve dive better than Great Britain because they got 101.52 points. Otherwise that 1.23 points over is nothing. Tom will be get the f. out of that Gold spot. But he’s lucky that China is kept played safe (which is NOT smart at all) cards.

I always tear up seeing Tom and Matty's reaction to them winning Olympic gold 😢💙 Tom fought for 13 years to get into his 4th Olympics, after 2 bronze medals (which is still so much to be proud of), he finally realized his dream as an Olympic champion
This was on the morning we won our first golds of the Olympics, after a couple of slow days.
Peaty, Daley and Lee and Pidcock within of a matter of hours. This gold gave so much energy to the rest of the British team going forward.

I love the smiles from the ROC when the last score is announced. It’s so rare that the Chinese divers are dethroned, and the genuine happy reaction to Tom and Matty winning gold was so heartwarming! this is one of my favourite Olympic moments.

I was jumping too when they won, the competition vs the Chinese was very very close. I am a fan of tom and matty but also a fan of Chen Aisen. It was a nail biting fight til the end. Hope to see them all again in 2024 Paris Olympics
I still don’t understand only 9’s for synchronisation on Tom and Matty’s last dive. They literally look like one person from the side
I think the distances were slightly different and they started the jump at slightly different times
I’m no expert of course, feel free to correct me
not an expert here...but im guessing it is because matty was slightly in front of tom when they entered the water and matty was rotating faster which is evident in the slow mo. But either way tom and matty did a great job
I think it’s because their initial steps on the platform weren’t completely synchronized (since the scoring starts from the approach)

I agree they should have had 10s and 9.5. The Chinese were overrated here, they weren't in synchron most of the time and not even in the same line in water and some of their points were too high. That's why the judges should have the possibility to watch it in different angles and slow motion because they usually make a lot of mistakes.

some athletes are underscored for doing better. Either the judges inconsistent or just don't pay much attention.
Its problems in all of these "judging" sports.
well the judges are from all over and are professionals. But the sit on the side and only have one angle and no replays or slow motions. They are judging off of the information they have from that angle and the 3-4 seconds the dive is being preformed. So they can only judge based on that. Some of these dives are also quite overscored, especially in terms of the syncro score but that is just how it is sadly
This may be my bias but I though Canada was slightly robbed of better scores, I felt as though they were much more consistent than others yet were receiving lower scores with less mistakes.
For example in the fourth round the Canadians and Koreans are given similar scores for two very different performances. I understand there are many different things that go into consideration such as difficulty and entering the pool other than synchronization and that the judges dont have slow mo and only one angle to look at it. None the less I still fell they could've done better

If everyone did their job, the Chinese would win no doubt, but Tom and Matty were better that day. They still have all their other gold medals to go home with, so it all works out at the end. Lile some of these judges have glass in their eyes. The pairs that had some clear mishaps getting higher points that the ones that were actually seamless. Such a turn off.
This is why I don’t like sports where judges make the final decision. It most likely won’t be accurate. I noticed the discrepancies from the first dives.
@@oreposh totally agree thats why these games where judges make the decision seems more bias. They are being judged with naked eyes and scores given in spilt seconds.
I feel very bad for athletes who put on their hardwork.
@@jaigangwar5629 it’s very obvious that there’s already a pre conceived perception about 🇬🇧 and 🇨🇳 even the commentators were not helping. They kept finding faults with the other divers. I felt bad for the athletes from 🇯🇵 you could tell they were tired but had no choice than to show up.
Is it because the ones that made less mistakes had easier dives? You need to pay attention to the weight score then you can tell whether the marks were fair or not.
Perhaps an A.I. could score this next time?

I’ve had dreams about competing on 10m platform. So scary! I’ll do 5m and I occasionally tried 7.5m, but there’s just something about 10m that’s terrifying unless you just jump off of it.

I was watching this live had that gut feeling that the British boys will do the exact thing I wished for. They were so emotional cuz of the hard work they have put in its very difficult to beat China in these diving competitions, a slight mistake from them allowed our lads to capitalise
