I think this sport has a great potential of becoming the best sport if we add a few politician in the field.
Especially indian prime minister
@@gurdasrandhawa that's right.

What rubbish😑
Epic! 😅😅😅
41 minutes with no ads, how amazing
Thrilling even

I haven't seen an ad in like two years. Premium is noice.
I just realized that😂😂

🇰🇪🇰🇪A truly memorable moment for Kenya🇰🇪🇰🇪💐
Kenya and Misri African brothers. We love you guys. Yego you are a hero

"Is it about to get even better?" "Nope."
I can hear a massive disappointment from his tone.
my guy had a massive redemption arc ten minutes later xD
Then he destroys everyone 🤫

The real mvps are the guys measuring the distance, they’re less than 2 yards from where that thing lands like it’s nothing
Right? They're so close so they can efficiently measure at a fast pace to keep things moving. Absolute mad lads working like a well oiled machine.
Well, without the athletes, there would be no sport so not exactly
@@asafvirin2181 shut the hell up with the semantics
Everybody gangster until they get a spear in their head. Huge respect to everyone that make sports functional
😂😂
21:00 i like how he responds to his own "does he like it?" with "does he LIKE it? It's absolutely HUGE!" haha
Julius Yego. He is a diamond to Kenya. Congrats to him.
This never gets old,,,one of the best ever..Yego 🇰🇪 was incredible.
even though that first throw was lowkey um
@@dbf-c6650 He came strong in the second throw,,,no one expected that
James Wairimu i know i was under estimating him on that second throw
@@dbf-c6650 I never saw that coming,,, I was also amazed
That's the thing with Africans, they just come out of anywhere 😆
P.s.-that were some best athletic skills and talent show from yego 🔥
I always get scared to the guys measuring the javelin, they are too close.
@REBEL.Ins' It happened before, the guy survived.
Yeah lmao
have you seen the guy that got one of those spears in his back some years back? had to use a electric saw to cut it because it wouldnt fit in the ambulance, imagine the vibration when it was cut yikes
@@juuk3103 I wouldn't be there unless i got paid 1 million dollars for every javelin they threw
@REBEL.Ins' wha? What the hell do you mean one day?
I love the chill of the Kenyan coach. He just expected his guy to win.
😂😂
Awesome!
Yego suprised everyone no one was expecting or show it coming.may Yahweh bless 🇰🇪🇰🇪 the Pride of Africa Home of Champions My Mother land.
I dislocated my shoulder just watching this
RUclips recommended women‘s pole vault, long jump and triple jump. I met there other men of culture in the comment section and now I ended up here? Men‘s javelin???
Same bruv xD
Same xD
yes
same
Yea, after some time every man realizes that strong men javelins are much more significant and worth then some fickle fleeting women's long jumps.
This has to be oldest pure sport originating in ancient warfare. Beautiful technique. Looks so cool when they wind and after throw end up on ground at terminal end of throw. Yt javelin thrower is bloody amazing. Amazing African athletes take top medals in javelin. I never expected that and love the unexpected. Congratulations, Africa and RUclips.
The oldest pure sport would probably be long distance running/walking.
Before you throw that lance at your prey, you gotta get close to it 😉
You have to appreciate what it took for this man to get where he is/was. A world champ from a country that has much less facilities for his chosen event than the average sporting facilities at a small school in Mobile Texas. Quite phenomenal.
Fortunately, a low-equipment sport. Unfortunately, he hasn't been over 90M since. Still the only Kenyan to star in a field event.
@@lajohnson1ly They should do high jump !
Go watch a video of the Maasai jumping its quite amazing.
@@watkinsrory I have seen those and they have springs in those legs :). Historically, Kenyans (the leaner ones!) have excelled internationally for decades as distance runners, male and female.
@@lajohnson1ly Yeah I am from the region. Ethiopia has some great runners too even Morocco.

Spectacular!congratulations to the winners led by Julius Yego!thank you for sharing us this sport
Proud to be Kenyan 💪
So many that's what she said, the office moments.
That looks big, Ohhh yess
That is absolutely huge, I cannot believe it, that's well over 90 meters😂
This is my first time watching something like this, but man this is hype!
Me too
Same here bro
Lads we can all agree here that the Egyptian is an enormous man
He is like the pyramids I think
He had help--tested positive for a banned substance in 2016 and banned from 2016 Rio Olympics. Enormous relative to other throwers perhaps--1.94 m/6'4 1⁄2") and 96 kg/212lb. Julius Yego is 1.75m/5'9" and 85 kg/187lb.
@@lajohnson1ly damn that’s sad to hear
@Hugh Mungus damn but he still won despite the disadvantage
A lot of big guys don't like the money in this. Giant NBA and NFL and MLB players could learn to throw this a lot better.
Amazing how much commentary there is without a scintilla of technical information about the discipline.
Learned the basics from RUclips and eventually became a gold medalist with one of the farthest throws ever... If people have opportunities, they can be so great.
Who??

The year Africans showed the world that they can also compete in these technical events Kudos to Yego, the Kenyan champion.
I feel excited every time I watch this video! So incredible it is!🤩
Shout out to Kenya for winning!
😊👍
I've watched so much women's athletics that I now find myself here. Fantastic lol
Who all think that the commentary was unusually exceptionally cool?? 😁
It was a'ight. But in typical fashion, one of the Brits seemed to restate what the lead guy said, using different words. Listen to the commentary on Yego's throw.. People like that are annoying.
What a competition! Yego was incredible. As a Finn I am of course proud of Pitkämäki and Ruuskanen 🇫🇮💙

Props to that announcer. Loved all of it.
This is the real clutch! Kenya rippin it. Watch out world Africa is coming!
I can't imagine the pressure of seeing that big Egyptian throw a solid 89 while everyone is stuck between 80 and 85... Then The Kenyan nails 92 meters!
Our Kenyan man did it ,it's evidence pressure zero prove

Rohler's first throw was impressive!🤩 such a small guy but a MASSIVE power output
He's 1m91 tall but he's quite light comparing to others, he's also very dynamic in his footsteps and in his launch. So yes, he's impressive to see, very powerful too...
Great champion! Congratulations to Kenya's Yego!. Those guys taking measures have balls. Kudos for them..
This is also my sports before .I was grade 6 that time 2006-2007 and I always win .
This commentator is roasting everybody.

Skip word potential. Javelin is a classic ancient sport. I love it and all track track and field Olympic sports. All of these sports have ancient tradition and will always be timeless.

35:05 nah those guys were too close to that man..
This looks like it was much fun in the stadium that night.
10:47
That's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen an arm do
each little muscle lit up one after another like words in a poem
He throws with efficiency , Makes it seem so effortless , Im sure he will go a long way
This was in my recommended and I am not disappointed.
Personally, I think it would be very cool to have speed of projectile on leaving the hand and estimated trajectory in real time. Something similar to what they do in the MLB for pitch speed. I like numbers and stats like that, so I think that would be a super cool way to add another level to the viewing experience.
Imagine the tech is easily adaptable. How far could Aroldis Chapman throw? Or Nolan Ryan in his prime? "Do I have to do all that running?"
They could maybe do launch angle and arm speed but the speed of the javelin doesn't always correlate, my furthest throws were always slower cuz a slight head wind that would create lift
True, that would be spectacular. Also a better camera view, for example a static side view of the javelin distance flown from a middle of the stadium. The precise close up side view of javelin doesnt show the full glory of the actual distance the thing fly. Also better camera view on the technique of each athlete would be really nice.
Agreed. I don't know why they don't show the javelin trajectory as a wide field shot. This is one of the most if not the most impressive event to watch in person because of the sheer scale of the throw. TV footage doesn't do justice to how amazing it is to see the javelin crossing the entire stadium.
Damn Amazing Yego
Insane throw by yego 🤯
