I haven't played many first-person dungeon crawlers, but surely the genre offers better games than this.
Developed by Kemco, The Sword of Hope was released for Game Boy in 1989.

There is a sword of Hope 2 maybe this could be your new favourite RPG series 😋 Maybe this why Kemco on Publish games now as opposed to make them haha

It's funny cause I think the devs of this game made the NES port of Shadowgate so the esoteric puzzle design makes sense.
I've never gone past ther beginning of the game but I do hear the grinding does escalate a ton at the end.
The gameboy has interesting RPGs though.

I'm trying to play through all the Game Boy RPGs in fact, the ones released in the West anyway

@@rpg_haven The gameboy has a really neat RPG library. I think the smaller costs really enabled sole experiments like this game.
I will also always shill for Wizardry Gaiden but that wasn't released here so itll probably be awhile lol.
