I never played ys v only Ys oath of felgana(PSP remake)and Ys Seven both are hard and great games(some of the best in the franchise apparently). I am african(i live in Angola)and it sucks to know that the game doesn't take advantage of the continent deserts, forests and jungles plus mountains, africa can Also be a beautiful continent if you know where you are going with many amazing places and animals to see,add to that the sorcery and myths and you end up having a great content for your game. It sucks to know that you did not enjoy the game, however i still want to watch your new reviews don't know if it's just me but i like to hear your voice😊.
I wish we could get a translation of both Ys V Expert (which rebalances the game and gives it more challenge) and the PS2 version of Ys V (which might be the only Taito version of Ys worth playing)
@@rpg_haven just a heads up, the Taito PS2 Ys games (Ys III, IV and V) are kind of infamous due to being basically budget games, especially Ys III with it's infamous prerelease art of Adol That being said some of the music is quite nice and from what I gathered V is seen as the best one of the three since V wasn't a perfect game to begin with and it even adds some stuff that didn't make it into the SFC version (though also omits some stuff)
I liked the hidden elements that you had to fuse to create magic. And then the magic that you unlock takes SEVERAL SECONDS to finish the casting animation. The fire ball is unironically one of the best spell because you can actually use it if you want. While the game is not great I still like it.
Lol, speaking of localizations when you get to Ys 8 you should check onto the debacle about the localization of that game. The words "Big Hole" come to mind instead of crevice. Lol. Also since you've now done Ys 5 I cant want to see how you feel about 6, that one is really interesting and if you have appreciated the lore up to this point then 6 will be a treat for sure.

Thanks for watching all the way from Africa! I liked the game OK, but not enough to recommend it
@@rpg_haven that's good to know, at least you had some fun

I didn't know there was a PS2 version of V. That sounds worth checking out
