The Adderall vlog is back! My first month on Adderall was very interesting! I had plenty of ups and downs due to lifestyle changes and effects from the medication which are mostly positive! I tried different dosages of the medication and I also speak about how I came across to other people or how my emotions were towards other people in light of it all.

Two weirdest side effects I noticed on Adderall; could do math in my head, and my handwriting improved.
Hmmm. I'm going to pay attention to my handwriting next time I blow an orange line.
As for the math, I keep addy on deck for when I shoot pool. I can get in the zone a whole lot easier when I have some addy in me.

I can confirm. First thing I tried was my math homework. My work was clear and clean. I wasn't being a protectionist about my numbers and square root lines either, constantly erasing and redoing them. I didn't have to do all the work on the sides. I got a WEEKS worth of homework I put off in ONE night. Get diagnosed, guys!!!!
Ah this is so similar to my experience with Adderall! I just finished my first semester actually taking my ADD seriously and taking meds and building work and life habits. I got my grades back and I legitimately cried. It’s been so long that I felt like I was almost incapable of doing things that seem to be so easy it even mindless for other people. I should have been diagnosed years ago but at least I have this second chance now. Thanks for the vid!

My first two weeks on Adderall and I’ve been more productive than the past two months. Hell, probably more than the past six months. It’s incredible. Literally life-changing. I just wish I was diagnosed 40 years ago.

wait until in 10-12 years when you've become clinically very depressed and your brain's happy juice maker is completely blown to pieces. Your heart, liver, and brain will thank you if you only use this as a tool to learn how to develop daily habits and external mechanisms that help you with ADHD get through your daily life and quit that shit ASAP. The period of drug treatment was EXTREMELY beneficial for me. But it really fucked me when I treated it is as life solution and never tried to quit. The hell was unbearable but the positives of those 10-12 years I got out of it was worth it IMO. BUT if you can, please get the positives now, change your behaviors, then quit and stay away from the negatives.
I wanted to go see a doctor for ADD but my dad yelled at me saying ADHD isnt real and i should just stop being lazy.
Wow, I'm sorry to hear that, being lazy is definitely doesn't have anything to do with being lazy! Infact most people with ADHD or ADD are full of too much energy, problem is they don't know how to focus it! Is there anyone else you could talk to about it?
Try to see if it's possible your mom will help you get evaluated or even if you can get evaluated through your school. Letting academic issues go unresolved can lead to a huge loss of opportunities down the road.
Believe me, I got diagnosed senior year of college and it just feels like the damage is already done. Medication isn't necessarily going to suddenly turn things around. You want to have time to develop the skills and strategies to compensate for your personal academic pitfalls before you reach higher levels of education where the stakes are even higher.
Me with ADHD yeah Im very energetic it's just hard to put that energy into studying for school. I usually get distracted and end up doing something else.
I agree! It will help but there's more to it than the medication, I also have dtherapy too that helped me build coping skills to deal with ADHD as a whole
Well even if you don't have a diagnosis for now, there's tons of resources to look at that help you learn how to cope with it, my other videos show some of those skills and also other RUclipsrs have good stuff, but you really do want to try and see if you can at least get evaluated :)
i’m 20 yrs old and finally took in myself to get diagnosed. I’ve been on the adderall (10 mg twice a day) for about 2 days now and so far I love it. I struggle with focusing issues, whether it be at work or at school or even with my social life, I can not sit still to save my life and if I have to sit still for a long period of time I get super agitated. i’m very fidgety and frantic and feel like i’m talking way too fast and too much. but ever since i started taking it, i feel amazing. I feel calm and collected, when i’m at work and it’s busy, I feel like I have everything under control and i’m not freaking out as much. I talk a lot slower and i’m not making silly mistakes anymore. although my ADHD has affected my school life and I wish I had gotten diagnosed earlier so I didn’t have to struggle so much in school, i believe now that I have the medication to help me, I can go back to school and my life will finally get better :)

I'm on day 1 today. I've always struggled with focus and everything that you have described. The last few months I've been struggling at work, social life and with my depression. I was falling behind on work projects, making mistakes and forgetting basically everything. This caused my anxiety and depression to increase tenfold. I started getting panic attacks because my head was just all over the place with thoughts and trying to balance everything. I would just crash and give up and just go to sleep and ignore what I needed to do. After talking to my doctor, I asked my parents if I was ever tested for this when I was younger because it would explain SO MUCH! "YES, but we didn't want you on the medication." I'm 37 now, I can't imagine how differently my life would have been if I had taken ADHD medicine. It makes me sad. Hopefully this helps.

Wow. Same goes for me. I'm 38 and was just diagnosed but haven't started on meds yet. I have trouble focusing, can't stay on track, terrible memory. I'll be talking to someone and as soon as I walk away I forget their names. I let work pile up until right before its due. My mom had me tested in school when I was 10 but they didn't want me to have a label. I cannot wait until I start meds and see how it affects my life.
This is exactly what I’m going through right now. I still can’t believe I spent so much of my life without being diagnosed. Everything makes perfect sense since I went to the doc. I’m also on Adderall and so far I’ve seen an incredible difference despite all of the horrible things I’ve heard about it. Thank you for the videos and sharing your experience. Thanks for posting these videos. I talked to my doctor about what I thought was some sort of anxiety that I've always had. I've always been unable to focus or concentrate very well, especially in.mundane things. I'm so jealous of people's ability to be organized, and just prioritize things and execute those things without being a scatter brain idiot. I'm a carpenter and out of an 8 hour day I probably spend an hour and a half looking for the tool I just had in my hand lol. But anyway! My doctor suggested I might have inattentive ADD. And it was almost a relief! I would love for that to be the reason for my issues and get it treated! To have clarity of the mind would be fantastic

I had to come off adderall when I was pregnant. I’m so glad I’m back on it, bc I actually feel like a functioning parent. I’m able to work full time, spend time with my daughter, and I just applied to Graduate School. I don’t feel like I have to do one or the other and it’s amazing😁
I'm in the process of getting diagnosed. I hope medication will have a possitive effect om me. Switching tasks constantly is really annoying, especially when there is something with a deadline I need to focus on. Also, only half listening at school and missing a lot of stuff is really annoying.

I did! Thanks! Best part is some of the things I tried in the past I'm actually able to do and I'm creating habits that benefit my every day routine. Plus able to find goals that are better suited for work. Calm and clear! The price tag on this drug is horrible though!
Just started 20 mg adderall 4 days ago after being diagnosed with ADD.. Thank you for posting these videos! It's nice to see a truthful and positive point of view on taking this medication. My focus and thoughts have changed immensely for the better and I can actually pay attention to conversations..I'm hoping I can continue on this dosage and not have to increase the mg!
How did you manage to get diagnosed, what’s the process? I’m 16 I’ve told my mom but my family doesn’t care if it’s diagnosed or not. We all agree that all 3 of us have adhd but neitherof them view a diagnosis as important, it bothers me so much I wish I could share my feels better than just crying bc believe me when I asked I cried and that still didn’t seem to make mom want to actually set up an appointment to be tested. It’s not for attention, it’s not to be special, not to even label myself, it’s to finally feel valid in my feelings from it and feel like I’m allowed access to the help I could get. I’m dyslexic(not diagnosed but 99.9% sure of it) and diagnosed with anxiety from a therapist.
Love your take on the effects of adderall. So easy to find all the ‘DEATH AND DESTRUCTION’ adderall can cause but it’s super hard to find the benefits which there are TONS! My thoughts came together in such an organized way I was finally able to piece together all the information I have within to make a complete thought and pull it out and discuss it confidently. It’s like someone came in and organized and updated my inner file cabinet. Like installing google in my brain 😅. The sleep thing got me at first - but after adjusting to the dose and the figuring out the best times to take the medication it balanced out and I sleep great and feel great during the day! My energy went from being so overwhelmed with all the ‘tabs’ I always had open in my brain so I would zone out to Netflix binging hardly able to get up to just do simple (boring) tasks like laundry and dishes to creating a daily list of tasks and knocking them out before it was even lunchtime. Everything in life comes with the bad the good the ugly etc but for those that struggle - even though I never understood how much I struggled until I started taking adderall and saw how everything just felt like it came together - it’s amazing ….my opinion ❤️❤️
The manner of speech and your demeanor is like night and day from your first day video(in a GREAT way)!! You stay on topic and follow your thought until it's completely described and then transition into the next point or topic of your experience. The medication has also already in one month slimmed you down and you look more rested. I know your journey as I have had to go off my meds for a couple months as an adult and it was not a great experience for me or those around me.

I was just diagnosed with ADHD last year. I'm 28 years old and being diagnosed was a huge relief because all my life I've been a screw up (for lack of a better term), and wasn't able to accomplish much. I set up goals, have things I want to do, I used to have amazing grades in school (depending on the class), but as an adult it's been difficult. I'm looking forward to getting medicated especially since I've tried most anything and everything to "fix myself", unfortunately nothing has worked except maybe coffee. the only things I haven't tried is getting medicated properly for ADHD, and illegal drugs. I am not resorting to illegal drugs so my last hope in this is getting medicated professionally. Once I get the right dosage, I will then begin working on my future and career. I'm about to be 30 and everyone sees me as a bum because I've done nothing with my life thus far. This video is definitely an inspiration and motivator for me and I hope to come back to give my full experience as well.

I’ve went my whole life thinking I was stupid, I could never focus on anything i would concentrate so hard on concentrating! (If that makes sense) I’m a huge multitasker too. I hate doing just one thing even if I have a cigarette I’ll clean the garden at the same time I have no chill. I finished secondary school 2 years before I was supposed to, went to 3 different colleges since and left half way through all of them, no matter how hard I try I can’t learn 😢 it hurts my head and I end up zoning out all the time I can’t sit still, I drink endless amounts of coffee to keep me going..

You are not alone! I feel the exact same. College is so daunting and so many topics are pointless for your chosen career so it's hard to get interested. I'm trying to organize my habits to work better but it's hard with work and being a parent.

The focus part is so true even while playing video games I will get sidetracked in the mission not trying to mess it up but explore and sh*t not just video games with other stuff as well it was very weird I found your anger lvl has a mind of its own not saying your mad all the time but you can get mad at a bug and kill it and thats what makes your day it’s weird

10mg to 20mg few months in 40mg (if needed) working great first month for many is the toughest , not eating much not sleeping, Hang in there KEEP ON THE SAME EXACT AMOUNT

love how you explained it. I struggle terribly. I'm on Adderall xr 20mg. I can definitely relate to what you said about the pick and choose what to focus on. For example, for me I needed to study for a test...before the med I would play on my phone while studying and listening to music. Now I don't want my phone in front of me while I study! I literally get pissed when it goes off lol.

Me with ADHD I started taking Adderall 4 days ago. I'm on the 20mg xr one per day. I take it every morning with breakfast at 8am..I start yawning a lot at 5pm. it's been like that for 4 days straight. Is that supposed to happen?
Well Adderall xr normally lasts between 8-10 hours so yeah that makes sense that you would get tired around 4-5pm :)

Recently was diagnosed with ADHD and started taking 15mg of Adderall XR. This will be my third day on it and I have noticed a huge difference. I feel like I am speaking slower and thinking more clearly and I can focus so much easier and my mood is so much more regular. I felt like before, I got angry and frustrated very quickly and easily agitated. I haven't felt like this since starting the meds. I feel more in control of my emotions and I feel like I'm overall a more pleasant and present person. I'm a better listener. I still struggle with accidentally interrupting people but I'm trying really hard to work on that and the meds are definitely making it easier. I don't feel like I have a million thoughts that have to come out RIGHT NOW.
ADHD is a dissociative anesthetic. Doctors use it to induce general anesthesia ..ketamine can produce hallucinations, similarly to other drugs like LSD,PCP or angel dust...it is also use for depression and also a pain management tool

Me with ADHD I do get the boost in focus and motivation, but the effects wear off faster, and apparently the side effects of Ritalin are worse than Adderall, Ritalin’s effective for 2-2.5 hours while Adderall’s effective for much longer I think.
Yeah I have Adderall xr which is extended release, so it lasts around 8-10 hours, you can get the regular that lasts the same time as yours tho, wow the side effects are bad?

Im in my first day of Adderall 10mg I watched your day one video and wondered why I'm not having the same experience and then I watched and now realizing that me drinking my standard strong morning coffee and then taking the Adderall is probably why my head hurts and I don't feel very focused.
I’m in the re evaluation process as I was on concerta years ago until after high school I’m praying that a rediagnosis and getting treatment will dramatically improve my life

I was prescribed adderall and today was my first day (2 of the short release 10mg a day). It was amazing actually getting school work done. However I do think I need 20mg because I still got distracted during lectures but that will be decided in a week. Its worth a try for people suffering to get anything done.

Lol, I definitely DO NOT focus on just one thing. Never been that way all my life! I constantly am switching things and realizing I have too many things that I want to do. Same with my writing and why I couldn't ever complete a book very easily! I use it to my advantage though and would always get into more things all growing up! I am very creative and have lots of interests!! 🥰😇😁

Thanks for making this video! I finally was diagnosed with ADHD yesterday and today I got my meds for it (instant release 10 mg). I also have Borderline Personality Disorder and PTSD, which I've been treated for for a long while. My attention issues haven't been paramount to me or my doctors in the past because we were honestly just trying to figure out how to get me to not want to kill myself. I've been in and out of mental hospitals and programs. But I have been stable for some time now, and I realized that the only thing keeping me back was my TERRIBLE attention issues. I looked up the symptoms of ADHD and realized that I almost certainly had it. I'm so excited to be starting treatment now, because I think this is the last puzzle piece in my mental health jigsaw! I feel like this is the last step in me having a life that I feel is worth living. Thanks for the videos, I love you personality and am excited to hear how the 30mg goes!

I was diagnosed ADHD a couple of weeks and got prescribed 20mg of Adderall. I got my suspicions of having ADHD a couple of months ago after reading a pamphlet of it while at work. I was nervous to speak to a doctor about it because I was in denial that I might have a mental illness in my perfect brain or whatever. But, after speaking with the doctor, I realized something. If I have known of this, if I have paid a little more attention to the symptoms of ADHD instead of convincing myself that it was just 'who I am', I would of probably done way better in school, work, and have better finances in my life. But, that's in the past. I am ready to make improvements, I am ready to become the amazing individual that I always daydream about. My FOCUS is now towards the future. I am glad I have found this channel, it shows me that having ADHD is not the end, but rather the beginning.

As someone who is passing through the same path as you guys the only thing I can advice is don't suppose that the first day feeling or high dose Adderall feeling is what people who don't suffer from ADHD or ADD feel everyday. Not as extreme as us but they get distracted , get tired, get annoyed , have mood swings, experience thought racing, or if they are bored during a class they stop listening etc medication is not there for its euphoria effects but make us feel normal. If you are looking for the other effect any pre workout with DMAA DMHA or bronkaid( ephedrine ) is out there easy to obtain and cheaper. ADHD or ADD is not under stimulated brain or nervous system disorder. The medication is there to bring calm focus(people who really suffer from ADHD will know the feeling) which will almost never wear off.So once the sweet spot is found, dose doesn't need to be adjusted all the time. But if you want stimulating effects it will probably not take too long your body to adjust that new fight and flight level. You will have to increase the dose every time to have the same euphoria your medication will become a drug so you will be addicted to drug not just physically but most importantly psychologically. so it is in our hands to make the medication our best ally or the worst enemy.
So, question for you if you don't mind. I'm a recent diagnosis of ADHD and I've been put on Adderall. This is my second day. And both days I've been oddly happy. I'm not a sad person but this was enough for a friend to comment on. Is that something you experienced your first few days/week? Or you know of anyone who has?
I realize it's different for everyone but I'm still looking around for first week symptoms because I was warned about irritability not being happy.

I have severe depression and adhd. I’ve struggled my whole life holding jobs, controlling my anger and emotions, maintaining friendships/relationships, focusing, following through with tasks, feeling relief instead of accomplishment when I do manage to finish something. I’ve been on a low dose of Wellbutrin for some years now and it really hasn’t been helping. I have an appointment finally to discuss my adhd and how to treat it.
Hey I can relate because I have it to and it is pretty hard but since I have a IEP for school I get extra help on stuff so yea I'm also very very shy about talking to people about it because they won't get the concept. I really don't need help with a lot of stuff in school only small bits of ,ash and bits of reading. I play a lot of video games such as battlefield world of tanks watch dogs etc and those games kinda gave so sort of concentration that I can apply in school so that really does help me a lot. The mess I take which I can't remember the name of now help me a lot then my last ones the last ones I took made me kinda depressed
Well I'm glad your new one doesn't make you feel depressed :) you just have to find the right one I guess! I play a lot of video games too! It helps me wind down after long days, it's pretty cool that they offer you the extra help at school though! You don't need to be shy about it, especially here :) it's a super common thing to have and I bet more of your class mates have it and don't even know it!

All of you saying positive things about adderall. As for me, it makes me very sleepy and tired. Now, my focus is almost none as I'm way too exhausted to focus on anything. I had to stop it and within 2 days , my exhaustion went away almost completely. However, the only positive thing of adderall is how easy my school works have become. My doctor will prescribe me another type of stimulant soon. Wish me luck!
Not neccessarily :) there are things I mention in other videos about Adderall and it's negative effects if not managed properly, and sometimes doctors can start you off on the wrong dosage which can have bad effects :( but I'm glad that you are going to be working with a new medication that might be better for you! I take atomoxetine which is a non stimulant and I often wonder what it would be like it I took a stimulant instead. I have great results but with getting stuff done I am not as eager it seems to do so compared with people on stimulants.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. My doctor started me on 5mg, and it made me less focused. She upped me to 10mg and now I can’t form a coherent thought, I’m angry, and less focused than ever. I'm not diagnosed with add or adhd but I took some Adderall of my friends and Holy shit it was amazing. I felt so calm, confident, happier and was able to focus. It was great. It didn't feel like I was distracted from every little thing. Also, I didn't have a million thoughts Goin on at once in my head while trying to do other things. It was a great experience. I took two pills of 20 milligrams. Cuz last time I took one and nothing happened. Course it was a different pill. It was like a little white one if I remember correctly. These were orange. Idk if that's what it is like for you or others with adhd or add or if that's what it's like for people without.what does this mean my guy?

I was given a 10mg dose too, I'm finding the same thing as what you described in the beginning. Some days it barely seems to work, others, I have a bit of steam to crack on and do stuff. It does seem to relate to sleep, haha. I think in general a bit more would help, though. Did you notice any sort of comedown later in the day?

What type of doctor dos one go for getting diagnosed?
Watching this is so great because it’s SO RELATABLE! I was diagnosed with ADHD last year and was on Adderall for one month. Then I had to stop because of an operation and was off of it for awhile however I’ve just been on it again for a month and am experiencing it all again. On 25 mg a day currently but still still don’t feel like it’s high enough for that focus. Wondering if you had to keep putting yours up or not? Considering going on an extended release one instead.

I'm glad you can relate to the content! :) I haven't increased any further, after going down from 30mg to 15mg I changed my diet to eat much healthier and started getting more sleep at night and the Adderall started to work much better! It's still not perfect but I didn't expect perfect results :) I also don't take it on weekends so that I get a mini break from it
I have been taking 10mg Adderall and have not noticed anything. I am really disappointed and have emailed and asked if there is a certain amount of days it takes before noticing a difference. I hope that my dose gets increased.
It's my second or third day on Adderall and I still don't feel a major difference. But here's hoping! I'm just starting so I'm sure my body just needs time to adjust and find the right dose for me. So far I've only tried up to 30mg. Perhaps I need more.
It's not unpleasant and I don't mind it at all. I got a little bit of dry mouth but so far that's the only side effect I've noticed.
I have yet to notice any major cognitive differences but I'm going to keep my mind open see what happens over this next month. I may bump my dosage up to 40mg to see if that changes anything.

I've only started taking it within the last week for my newly diagnosed ADHD (26 years old). The changes I've noticed so far are amazing for both my mood, energy level and performance at work. My parents have been very supportive but my friends have not. Saying things like "its only working because its meth", "sell it", "be careful its addictive" etc. Its left me feeling very discouraged and guilty, so much I've stopped talking about it to others all together.

I recently decided to see a dr about anxiety / adhd and with all going on in the world I have to wait a month to see a psychiatrist guessing to evaluate me. I take 15mg, I don't get a come down really, but I do feel a little tired when I don't take it for a day, but I suppliment it with coffee and I feel better :) I am already a social person so I feel like it doesn't do that for me, if anything it makes me less social because it slows me down just a little so I can think 🤣

5 is for young kids. Adults should start at 10mg. At least that’s what my doctor said.

Ah, then don't worry friend! :) Give it time and you will see a difference, it's not a magic cure, but it will help you eventually! Are you eating healthy and getting enough sleep? That's also important to help the medication to work :)
Isamanta Hernandez what dose are you on? Sounds like you are on an incredibly low dose. If it’s a reasonable dose you feel it 1 hour after taking it for sure.
With the caffeine try gfuel it has 150mg of caffeine per serving and its worked great for me with a 30mg xr dose
I haven't tried that yet! The problem for me is, if I take too much caffeine with the stimulants it makes my tourettes really bad so I try to keep it as low as possible, it's much better now I get more sleep and do a better diet :)

Try cutting out the g fuel for one 😂 do you stay on your phone a lot at night? The blue light can keep you up a lot too, switch all electronics off like an hour before you sleep I hear that helps
150mg is quite a bit of caffeine unless you are a heavy coffee drinker. I would advise less, like even 60mg caffeine with other stimulants.
