The family was known to Social Services before she was born. Why did the judge give the father custody with his abusive past? So many questions... She was in the school system all her life and home educated for a few months before the school holidays. Parental freedoms regarding home education have been attacked for many years. I always refer people to the Joy Baker case in 1961 and also the Badman report of 2009. Home educators should continue to fight for their freedoms, we see the many problems in the State school system; why doesn't the government focus their attention there?
It’s such a shame, isn’t it? I’ve thought about the A.C.E. curriculum too-It already has a history of criticism from secular groups, even though the English and maths are recognised as good. It’s the science and Bible aspects that get heavily scrutinised. I’ve written to my MP about the end-of-life bill, and you’re right-we need to do more and write to them about this too. I’ll make sure to do that, so thanks for the reminder. I’ll also check out the Joy Baker case-and the Badman report - I’d forgotten about that. Thank you for mentioning those!
