Great! I hope you can find a pigeon rescue close enough to you to rescue from! They can help you pick the perfect one to match your needs. They all have different personalities you know!
I'd be a bit weary of taking my dove to other people's homes, since most people (at least here in Europe) use nonstick cooking ware, which is highly toxic to birds. So you'd have to tell people not to use any pots and pans that have a coating, and hope they have others. Bird-proofing someone else's home requires good social skills :-D
How did you get your pigeon to accept the eggs in another cage like this? I am having a hard time with mine :( any time I moved her nest into another area or try to take it along with us she got so stressed. She won’t accept it :( we have a trip coming up not sure what to do!
I think it can depend a lot on the size of your cage as well. One of my friends has a cage that their bird is only shut in at night, so the cage is very small and her pigeon has to be out almost all day. The bigger the cage, the smaller the minimum amount of hours out has to be if that makes any sense. (But I dont know nearly as much as My Pet Pigeon haha)
It's really all the same. I'm assuming a pair would be out at the same time together, so around 3 hours minimum would be good. Azura has a good point that if your cage is big enough for them to fly around then you can let them out less, but if their cage is small then they should be out for longer than 3 hours. There's no scientific study about this though, so you just have to do the best you can for the health and happiness of your birds.
I let her sit on them as long as she wants. They won't hatch since they are not fertilized. If you have eggs that are fertilized, you should swap them out for fakes a day after they are out and you can throw away the real ones. That way you don't get unwanted babies!
I’ve been trying to find the perfect pet bird. These videos are convincing me that it may be a pigeon.

How many hours a day does a pigeon have to be out of its cage
The more the better of course, but at least 3 hours to fly and walk and stretch its wings.

What Do you do with the egg which your pigeon lays
