Most underrated HBO series ever. I lived for this series. Right up there with the Sopranos and much more violent. Such great characters from Nucky to Chaulky to Richard and Gillian. Loved Michael Shannon's character too. What a cast!
This show blows the Slopranos away considering its a bunch of made up bullshit plus this show is about real life gangsters & they're stories that never been told on screen before especially in that era💯
The issue with the snow is they kept shoe horning in real life characters, moving away from the original central cast. The first three seasons were great, they served as a great drama also a period or slice of life piece. The issue is of course it became more and more the Al Capone and Luciano show, the other issue is season four was the weakest by far, this lead to season five being more or less a season to fix all the issues from season four.
The issue with many real life characters, is you know their stories and they have plot armor because of that. This is why it became less interesting as time went on.

You are correct with Paddy, but Mick refers to the "Mc" part of the surname. The Irish version is "Mc" as opposed to Scots who are generally "Mac" even with the otherwise same name.

Chalky was my absolute FAVORITE character 🙌🏼💯 And Harrow 🙌🏼💯 Harrow was a ruthless, bad ass 💯😆 But with a beautiful heart ❤️ Nucky was the main character, and yes, I routed for his side- but after watching the last episodes when it went back to his youth, poor kid- but that was it- when he became the sheriff, he turned into a devil 🤦🏻♀️ The sacrifice he made against an innocent child that was already suffering just for his OWN selfish reason to rise to the top was absolutely evil and disgusting! He and that slop of old filthy scum, the Commodore, both deserved to rot in hell! And deserved a more torturous death, IMO 🤷🏻♀️ The Commodore more so, he was a rude, cold hearted, disgusting PEDO!! It’s crazy how the whole elite pedophile lifestyle was exposed in the show…. 🤔
Basically, Jimmy entered a partnership with Manny (the old-ish looking bloke he calls a "Jew bastard"), and ends up owing him 20 grand, but he keeps being petty and dodging him, then *later,* in this same video (the fight in the butchers), Jimmy tries to have him whacked, resulting in that poor bastard getting a cleaver through his brain.

Some of the actors worked in The Sopranos too, HBO sure has some gems like TBE, Sopranos, The Wire.
