Al Capone is the sort of dude to shoot someone in the face at point blank range, take an apple from the groceries they had just been carrying and eat it as he walks away.
After jimmy blows the guys brains out and takes his make off in the "can't hide" kill, he looks super drunk. Is he maybe having a flashback or can you guys think of something else?
He was probably really drunk, or on opium. My memory for that season is kinda fuzzy, but it was made a point that he drank alot once he got home and eventually started smoking opium.
I think he was both drunk and chewed gum/tobacco (makes you more stress resiliant, which is why baseball players and sharpshooters often do it) and that PTSD creeping up on him.

It definitely has more than two compelling characters. All of the characters are compelling for the most part and the actors who portray them are phenomenal. IMO the two best characters in the show are Jimmy Darmody and Richard Harrow.

Every single character in this series is played masterfully. The acting is on par with breaking bad. Highly recommend you watch it.
