In 1 Samuel chapter 7, the Israelites were under attack by the Philistines. Fearing for their lives they went to the prophet Samuel who pray to God for help. When the Philistines retreated to their own territory, Samuel “took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.” This word, Ebenezer, means "stone of help," and was a reminder of what the Lord had done for them. "Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it, mount of thy redeeming love."

I am in the hospital with my mom, it's been a total of 5 weeks today. I went to the chapel last night feeling pretty low and alone and begging the Lord to give us a miracle again. After a great deal of praying, I picked up the hymnal and it opened to this song. When the alert came that you had just released it on here, it touched me deeply. God is in control and we are certainly blessed. BTW: Mom has made improvement since last night. Praise God!

It really hit however because they sang it in the film The Last Descent a tragic film that struck me emotionally
