This video is priceless. I really appreciate the tips you shared. Here is five takeaways which caught my attention : 1. steal productivity with pride 2. Template repetitive tasks using google docs, spreadsheets 3. Automation with formulas (sum for example) and features (data validation) 4. Organize information by where it will be use 5. Being more productive by making pre-read before meeting Keep on delivery the your good content. Thank you.
" you noticed" lol. or you could just let people watch the video instead of taking watch time from Jeff by providing cliffnotes for a video he worked on
I've been watching Jeff's videos just because of the way he talks. I'm joking... his content is superb too. But I really like the way he conducts the video lol
I work as a shelf stocker and listening to music and tuning out everything helps me. Or on slow days I'll listen to a podcast and find incorrect numbers. I am literally the only one that can do a certain job correctly and can do one aisle In the time it takes for 2 to work on it. I don't text, though I may scroll through RUclips to grab a long video (usually on breaks). I'd also recommend focusing on one task at a time as you have a set amount of focus and it's impossible to multi-task. Being able to 100% one task then complete step 2 through 7 drastically speed things up, especially if you have to login each time you need to use your device and scan something. Or if moving a top stock cart takes more time than it should going in one direction helps.
100% my friend! I remember the times when people thought others who couldn't multi-task were "inefficient" but the truth is we SHOULDN'T be multitasking at all! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Serious, Jeff: I love when you make videos in which you show us examples of how to be more productive using tools like Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Notion etc. Even though my company hasn't adopted Google Workspace, I try to adapt your examples using Microsoft Word, Excel etc (although not with the same success, as the tools have some differences among them...)
Thank you for sharing these helpful productivity tips in your video that can benefit many people in their work. Here are the 5 key points of the video. 1. Steal productivity tips and materials with pride. 2. Template repetitive tasks to save time. 3. Automate input processes with formulas and features. 4. Organize information by where you'll use it. 5. Make pre-reads for meetings to ensure productivity.
At this point, im 100% sure that knowing more about Google Workspace is much better for my productivity than trying to setup Notion! Thank you Jeff Su for all these real professional productivity tips.
I use WorkTime for remote work, and it has greatly helped me become more productive. This is especially beneficial when managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Yes, please share your video on how you handle projects at work using work apps (including for us Microsoft users if available). I’m new to productivity and PKM, and just starting out as a enterprise software project manager for a government entity. Your video topics *ARE EXACTLY* what I’ve been searching for to crystallize in my head the concepts and structures to guide me when trying to have a personal second brain in Reflect notes app, while ALSO having a file management system at work that doesn’t offer bi-directional links/backlinks. Having a clear organizational structure to apply to both databases/functionalities is very useful and appreciated. Thank you for your succinct summarization of what I couldn’t get my head wrapped around until now!
I really enjoyed this video! The tip about stealing with pride hit home for me. I never thought about using other people's work as a jumping-off point instead of reinventing everything. Also, I love the idea of templates; it can save so much time on repetitive tasks. The automation tip was a game-changer too. Making things easier for my teammates means they’ll actually want to help me out more. And I totally agree about pre-reads-meetings can be a waste if nobody knows what's going on. Thanks for sharing these awesome tips!
