Great minds think alike!
I did more or less the same with my TopGrips. And theyre super comfy on the road and trails.
So far, I'm less keen on the DropGrips. A double-wrap of tape on the drops seems comfier, but we'll see how it goes.

Indeed they do. I really like the idea of the Ritchey WCS foam grip things. Time will tell.

With the extra surface area, no problem covering with a standard roll of bar tape?
Goood question. I had not thought of that because I used the foam grips on the bottom section. Hmmmm. I did use a full run on each side but I wrapped them very closely on each turn
Perhaps that is why Redshift sells Extra Long bar tape.
