I noticed the SENTRI lane to your right. The route you took is the same one for SENTRI? or is it like the San Ysidro Port of Entry that requires a designated route? Great video, and I'll try a burrito on my next trip.
I am going alone this Friday alone for a consultation. I think am going to walk across the border. I have not done that in over 35 years. but I think it is safer for a solo female.
In the past 8 years when we come back from Mexico through Nogales, AZ, the border agent always looks at our passports and enters them in their computer system. They usually scan them, and then just calls out the name of the person just to make sure they're in the car with us. Its just my family of 4 and me.
I’m currently trapped here in Mexico with no passport, but a good friend shipped me my birth certificate and I have my driver’s license. This gives me hope that I could cross at Tijuana, but I’m nervous that I’d get denied entry since I don’t have even an expired passport. Ack
@@FromAgonyToLight you should be good, I have a friend that crosses with birth certificate and license all the time….you can’t really get denied if you’re an American citizen, they’ll just probably send you to secondary and hassle you a bit
They will want a passport. If you don’t have one then they will need a government identification like a driver’s license and they will use that to confirm you are a citizen.
Check out this past video on how to cross on foot:

It’s a designated route, I was told my SENTRI card is only for pedestrian entry and not auto
I'm a truck driver and I have a Passport Card which is better to carry in your pocket. The passport book I use it when I travel via Air

They checked for insurance?🤔 I've crossed so many times through San ysidro and they've never asked my mom for her car insurance.
They are not the DMV so they don’t care. Only when highway patrol is there will that be a problem. They are almost never there.
@@johnnybeckwith2754Mexico has highway patrol?
If you picked up packages in Tijuana, you definitely have something to declare
Yup, that’s why I declared it
Very helpful thanks
When they check your passport or dl and birth certificate do they actually run it or do they kinda just look at it?
@@MisterFourSeven they’ve always ran mine

You don’t need a passport to cross by car, you just need your drivers license. You only need a passport to cross by foot.
Car of foot, its the same, but best to get a passport to keep people moving
I rather have a valid passport better to be safe than sorry
If you have any passengers with you, what documents do they ask for?
The same as you, or if Mexican nationals unless a green card holder, there border crossing visa

I’m a born-and-raised US citizen so I might just go for it =] thank you!

Pretty sure you can, heck I crossed the border with my school id
