    Great to see you back on them Adrian,,
    How are you finding the Plus for them Mullet,, or is it too early to say?
    I keep sitting on the fence for either the Plus or Newer Specimen in 14ft flavour.

      @CR33DH20 I like it but I’m not sure I need the plus as a slightly softer rod might give less hook pulls.Its a compromise between a fast action that enables you to hit bites and a rod soft enough to prevent hook pulls but enough backbone.

      Originally, I was all for the speci when released,,, but held off last min with a view to making a more informed decision

    Enjoyed that buddy.
    Next time just tighten your drag up a little.
    When your drag is spinning and your'e winding the reel, it causes severe line twists which in turn causes really bad wind knots upon casting.

      @@TheConstantAngler Enjoyed it very much.
      May I ask if it was low water slack or high water slack you fished?
      There's a few spots up here in North Wales that hold Mullet and would like to give it a try.
      Be a little change from the usual Beach Bass Fishing.

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  Месяц назад

      @@richardjones2811 It was about half tide up to high tide. I try to find a feature they can hide behind out of the main flow. Same as Chub fishing really, somewhere they can nip in and out of the current

    • @richardjones2811
      @richardjones2811 Месяц назад

      @@TheConstantAngler I see, thanks for the information. A bit different to Bass then who like a constant flow of water and often found in the most violent of tidal areas.
      I guess Mullet are a bit lazier and like to conserve their energy a bit more.
      Definitely helps to understand the habits of the target species doesn't it.
      If there's no feature to be seen then some sort of back eddy or area of slacker water would suffice?

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  Месяц назад

      @richardjones2811 Exactly. You can catch them in flow but the minute they can head up river they will.
