I’ve actually spoken to the manager of the bike park and usually since the long dry season and the fact they don’t get a lot of attention in terms of media attention so they don’t have the largest personnel and rely on a lot of volunteer work and don’t always have it so usually they are not good about fast repairs and being able to get a nice surface on their trails due to the long dry season.
Thanks for the work. If you look at places like Whistler, Sun Peaks, or Silverstar, they get the same if not more traffic, and still keep their flow trails in better condition. Especially sun peaks. The dirt is filled with rocks at Silver but raking and watering trails multiple times throughout the season would help. I'm pretty sure more people pop tires there than at other places. Is Idaho’s dirt just not as good?
@@trailreviews3628 well it just drys up like theres not a drop of water up there! Im not like fully on yet but in like 2 years but I go up there and help rake trails and shred! my grampa works on the bike patol up there so its good! going to go to duthi here in a couple days! mabe we can meet up??
Im a local at silver and I’m also a junior x rider for when I race pro grt’s. Silver is a good place but it’s neglected with no trail maintenance and horrible build crews
Very well done. I had to rewind a few times to catch everything as I'm headed here mid to late Sept. I'll cover the trails as you have but will give it a perspective from a 55 year old shredder. Nice work and I'll be looking thru your channel for more like it. Thanks again.
Two thumbs up for calling out the piss poor trail maintenance raking the rocks.... the second in command of trail service is a guy named yoshi, if you have any complaints bring his name up! To be real all the trail workers have a hashtag #morerakelessbrake and that makes me confused... it’s like they bust their asses for opening week getting it all nice and cleared but by the end of the second maybe third week open, all the top to bottom trails are rocky and blown out. It’s almost like they don’t care about the rest of the season! I raced the NWcupDH there last month and it was like they were holding an EMT conference at the hotel with how many times in one weekend I seen emergency crews show up.... long story short, if you want silver in its prime, go the first month, then avoid it like the plague!
Dude congrats on 1k! That’s huge! You put so much work into your videos and they are so helpful and fun to watch. Great job, and keep up the great work!!
@@Ducjt Sweet. Upper state or Lower state? If it's Lower then it's gonna be really hard to find runs like this video or something close to PNW. Upperstate has a few spots, and if you're close to the border NC has a bunch of spots as well. You can use Trail Forks (app or website) to find the trails around where you live. It's a great resource.
@@Ducjt Oh dude, you're in the best part of the state for mtb riding. Good amount of spots around you! Paris mtn is a great spot, Lake Conetse and Croft state parks are also good spots. You could drive up to Asheville and hit up Pisgah which is a mecha for mtb riding.
thanks for the review i ended up going and it was fun!! i saw you at duthie earlier too you're a really good rider
I felt the same way about the staff. Extremely rude and the rental shop was annoyed and seemed to play off the issues my rental bike had.
War gerbil is one of the most difficult trails to me. Not because of the features, but the side load on the tires the whole time.
This is such an amazing review, it bugs me how much they neglect these rocky surfaced flow trails

dude Im on the trail crew and trust me you have no idea how much work it is to rake the trails!! and some people brake so much!

Nice vid again! I just came back from silver mtn and I have to agree with the quality of the trails. You didn’t do Baby Swiss!?
I did, but only once. I didn’t like the trails getting to it
Trail Reviews yeah I only did it 3 times as the 3rd time I got a flat and a huge flat spot in my rim, basically landing on 2 foot deep holes
How much was the bike rental?

great video! also i went to silver mountain once and
i loved it
Amazing video ...M subscribe to ur channel🤘🏻
Like the Cover Photo! Only 2 left to 1000 subs, congrats!
The manager of the mountain itself is really rude but not all the employees are rude just letting you know 😁
Can you do some trails in SC cause that’s where I live and i just moved here so I don’t know where to go. Or do you only do laces near you?
You mean SoCal or South Carolina? I’m originally from South Carolina and there isn’t much to be honest. All the food stuff is in the upper state.
