- Basheer Zaheer reviews the last Porsche 911 Turbo with the Mezger Engine. The Porsche 997.1 Turbo in manual is everything one would desire in a Porsche 911 especially a Turbo variant.

That 3.6 Mezger sounds so old school above 3000 rpm feels like aircool engine
It's really a classic!
I love your passion & knowledge! My fav 997 gen 1.5 turbo, the wide stance/side vents, Mezger engine, no silly "clown lights" at rear, no DFI engine that is known as fact to carbon build up (all done to save money and meet emission):(
I have the exact car with a Tip. As much as I wanted the manual, I couldn't pass up the deal I got on mine with 44k miles. The same car/mileage in a manual would have been $40k USD more. Hopefully the Tips go up in value as well, especially since it has the Mezger.
unfortunately, the people who are in the used market for a 997 911 Turbo typically want the extra pedal
Beautiful car and the best sound ever!
Thank you sir. Hope you enjoyed the video
Lovely 😊 hoping to get a 1
911Turbo after my 718S
That would be an amazing upgrade. Let us know when you are ready
Ben Collins (aka: "The Stig") thought the 997.2 Turbo was better & bought one for himself
He daily’s on and the manual are super rare.
@@InvictusMotors That model is creeping up in value. I'd happily buy a 997.2 turbo in manual if I had the doh.
@@MotorDynasty Actually he commented in a video I saw that he preferred the handling/balance of the 997.2 vs the previous generation. I'd link into the video, but web links get deleted by the AI bots
@@MotorDynasty Fair enough. There are pro's and con's to both. I think i'd lean toward the 997.2 Turbo manual myself.
@@MotorDynastynonsense he stated he prefers handling balance and build quality of .2 also whilst .1 has classic engine they are a little rough at idle and in town compared to .2
what exhaust is that? fantastic car, I have as well the same. looking for a exhaust.
We are not sure of exact type but previous owner bought it from design 911
go for europipe stage 1 or 2 exhaust
Consider a Kline full system
Thw 997.7-3/4 has different washers in the car, which costs 90,000 extra.
Nice, what exhaust
To be honest, we’re not sure as we have another look to see it is from which supplier
997.2 Turbo S
Quite a bit rare
I'll stick with my 996 X50. Less chance of spun camshafts ;-)
I don't like the Egg lamps ;-)
The rarest is " 997.1.5 aero"
Yes apart from body changes there isn’t much else
