Can you imagine the amount of money sitting there to put that all together! Knowledge is Priceless thank the Lord!
Please film the building of this engine as much as you can. That would a really cool saga
Will do our best.

Definitely one of the best videos I've seen in 15 years of you tube. 👍
What a great guy, Nick really knows his engines, very few folks like Nick left these days, I hope Nick lives forever. Love watching his videos, I've learned a lot watching them.
👍
Me too
Nick is a wonderful guy. We met him at Motorama this year. Super nice man. He knows his stuff! The best 👌
Do you have a part number for the comp cams timing chain amd distributor gear drive? Please and thank you
Building an engine from all new parts. Gotta love that ! Love the channel Nick.
Imagine, no greasy, gunky parts. Nothing to put in the hot tank.
Heck yea...
I can’t wait to see this go together. It’s got everyone wishing they could get their hands on a brand new hemi!
That's going to be soooo sweet!!! Can't wait to see it on the dyno!!!
You and me both!
@@NicksGarage
Would "Indexing" the plugs make a difference?
@@NicksGarage Why aren't the rocker arms 'rollers?' Aren't they made for Hemi engines?
I think it would be a great engine build series if Nick took us along for every step of the build. From the math to figure out how everything works together and why to the machining of the block and balancing of the rotating assembly. Then the complete step by step, bolt by bolt assembly and dyno testing and tuning. It could be a multi video series in its own playlist. I fresh clean all new build just like many of us have dreamed of doing for our own muscle cars.
If he doesn't take every piece of the chinese manufactured junk and return it he is crazy. Can't believe he would put his reputation on line by trusting inferior chinese junk. Rods and crank are super critical. Chinese don't care, as long as they are selling it. Would like a show just on balancing the crank and what it takes as well as checking sizing. Same with rods. How about doing an Xray and fluxing live ?
I had been away from internet access for a bit. Back now and trying to do catch-up. I like to read some of the comments on Nick's channel before diving into the video. Hit the wall when I read '2526's reply. I didn't want to believe it, but there at 5:32 "Made In China". Box looks like it has been sitting around for awhile with all the water stains. Owner probably got that crank pretty cheap. But I guess that's the way things are now. Even with American Muscle. Too bad. Well, good news; if anybody can make a runner out of junk, that'd be Nick.
@@randalltylinski9853 Eagle''s stuff is all made in Shinna.
Unfortunately, a lot of stuff is made there these days. A lot of people run there units.. and I haven't heard of any major issues about their products so far.
What matters most is how it's machined for the final product.
I prefer Scat products. I'm not sure if even their stuff originates from Shinna. But they are a company that has a rep of quality stuff.
Xronia polla Nicholaki. My birthday is this Saturday. Tuned in from Adelaide Australia
Awesome! Thanks Steve.
I can only imagine the ‘kid-at-Christmas-time’ feeling Nick must feel when opportunities like this come!!! Building a big-inch hemi from all new parts!!!! What MORE could you ask????!!!!!!! Are you guys gonna do a buildup video of any kind on this engine? I sure hope so!!! Great week, y’all!!!! 😊
Yeah, you can see it on Nick's face. He was having trouble not smiling...
Hey Nick, I’m an old retired Auto Machinist and while I never bent over a fender, I had the fun of assembling many, many engines over the years. And let me tell you, I’ve never had someone bring in a complete engine in brand new parts. I would love going into work every day if I got to do that all the time! BTW, I walk with a cane now because of picking up all those cast iron blocks and heads so be smarter than me.
Time to take care of our Backs. We are getting older.
He spared no expense!
All out!
The rings were made in Hastings Michigan.😊
Will it be Nicks Masterpiece? I think that everything Nick works on is a Masterpiece!
Or monsterpiece? 😉
Nick . You do a great job teaching the next generation of car enthusiasts! All the info you give out is priceless! Thanks!👍
This is exciting, the walls of the shop will be pounding with that on the dyno, I hope you can video the actual building of the engine and cover unique aspects of them.
Hemi Nick doing what he loves and The master in building big horsepower engines!!! no wonder he's on the top restoring Muscle cars.
What every hot rodder dreams of , ordering every piece to build a 541 inch Stroker HEMI with brand new parts . And to have NICK of NICK'S GARAGE build . HOW SWEET IT IS . WOWSER , YEEHAA
Never seen Nick so happy. I bet he didn't sleep all night after seeing all the new parts. Can't wait to see the build and dyno.
Hi Nick, I'm a retired Rceme mechanic for 26 years, I have rebuilt my share of engines, but I have never seen one brand new with all new parts, keep up the great work. Your explanation of things is very good to educate your viewers and your customers. Plus I'm a dodge guy so that helps lol..keep up the great channel.
Wow!!! A Hemi Monday, and not just a 426 Hemi, but a 541 Hemi stroker. A very impressive collection of parts, especially the Callies 2nd Gen block. I would have stayed with Callies for the crank and rods, so much better than Eagle. China has really messed up the American Hotrod industry. This should be a very impressive build, and I'm looking forward to seeing what numbers this engine makes on the Dyno. Work your Mopar magic Nick. My Monday is so much better with Nick's Garage. The Hemi is icing on the cake.
Thanks for joining us again, Eugene. We appreciate your kind comments and input.
@@NicksGarage I'm always impressed with the variety of the videos! You rock George. Nick still like to play with blocks, and I do too, lol.
Nick it must feel good to be able to inspect, and assemble such an absolutely new motor. The aluminum heads must make your muscles feel good too. Can't wait to see this monster come to life
Absolutely.
The torque is going to be absolutely massive.
...and at lower RPM! That's a serious tire burner! Hope he runs fuel injection to be able to best tune it...
Fully agree ,it will be awesome to see this bad boy turn some rpms
Simple things please simple minds
Nick- you're so lucky to be able to work with everything brand new & clean. The old saying- it doesn't happen every day comes true. As always, love your videos.
Absolute badassery at its finest! This engine will pound the ground for real!
Should be a dream maker.
This is like Christmas, your birthday and the 4th of July combined! The assembly should be smooth as glass. So many beautiful parts!🎉❤
You got that right Mike !!!! Big Time Holiday Season !!! I can only imagine something like this ...
Nothing like a new Hemi that's built by an expert like Nick. Nick Reminds me of my father. He was a master Machinist . He could build one hell of an engine. He bought nothing but Mopars.
Kudos to your father! Smart man.👍
A dream come true… a new engine from scratch. I’m curious to see what small issues arise. A STROKER! Can hardly wait to see your magic Nick 😃👍
Thanks Nick's it was a pleasure going through all those new parts together with you
WOW! I can hardly wait to see this beast on the dynamometer.
Nick I think many of us would appreciate it if you made a video series building this engine from start to finish. I’m sure you could provide great insight into building these engines
Man, this has to be the Christmas of a job. Love it. Make a series please!
Nick you had better stay around for the next hundred years we need your knowledge we need you.🙏❤
You are amazing with your knowledge of all the engine parts and pieces.
Thank you very much!
I watch this more than everything else i have alway been a Mopar guy. First car was a 69 Rt charger it was beat to hell AND RAN LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL 440 TRI POWER 4 SPEED 456 REAR END TOP SPEED 110 AND GOT THERE IN A HURRY ,IT WAS FAST IN 80s only two cars beat me GTX And a 429 boss. Mustang thank you show alway brings back good ol memories
Please do videos on building the engine and testing it on the Dyno! I’ve built a lot of engines, but never even seen a Hemi come into any of the shops I worked for.
wow.... that's going to be an awesome engine , Nick, please do the complete engine build on video 🙏
I am hoping I will.
Can't wait for the build and then The Dyno Test!
Same here!
Mannnn, that sure is super nice to have all new parts ,block ,and heads ...Then to have Dr.Nick put it together and tune it !!!!! This will be fun to watch and dyno will be great !!!!!!!
A brand new old time HEMI. Wow 😮 imagine that 😊. Thanks Nick!
Very cool. I would love to put a hemi in my Mopar but can't afford it. But I do have numbers matching 383 and that will do just fine. Like Joe Dirt says. Life is a garden. DIG IT
Man that's some scary power. The best I've ever had was a 350 Oldsmobile in a 79 Cutlass
That is a wild Big Hemi , be neat to see what horsepower it puts out !!!
713 horsepower! Dyno session will be sick!
I got 615 HP on my 528 Hemi with a small camshaft. This one is 541c.i. with a roller camshaft.
Dr. Nick, I believe in you! 713!!!
Quoting Nick... "as you get older, the parts get heavier.." Amen to that. I'm 79 myself, and even the rods get heavier. I've got an old, 1st gen Desoto 330 hemi I'm working on, and let me tell you about the cast iron heads. I thought I'd need a crane to pick one of them up. The block is out of the question.
Probably the first time Nick hasn't had to rebuild a destroyed engine. Definitely keeps me going and inspired to finish my wifes rusted out blown up impala that was supposed to be %95 restored. Dam thing is making me enjoy making panels and parts. You're a legend Nick.
Cool! Will be interesting to see how it goes together. AND runs on the dyno of course. Break in that virgin Nick!
Thats a fun job. Nice and clean. So cool.!
It really is!
Man it looks like Christmas.!
You should always buy new cylinder heads bare. They put junk in there complete heads. Heads, crank,Block, rods all that stuff need to go to a good machine shop to make sure it is right. That will double the price probably when they find all the problems.
I agree. I bought a set of these heads for my upcoming hemi build. I bought them bare w/ valves. I'm having a shop I trust go through the heads and make sure the guides are true and the valve job is solid. I've heard that when the valves are shut some times the stems are not sitting true inside the guide, which will cause premature wear.
...don't forget to align-bore, deck height, blue print, shop peen, magna flux, x ray, tuff ride, port and polish, d- port intakes, dry sump lube, cross-hatch (which Rick just did to that cyclinder barrel),etc., hope I didn't skip anything........
THat's really cool to see a brand new HEMI block. I can't wait to see the full build of this engine
Thanks Ted.
Nick, cad welch plugs are required, it gives something soft for the electrolysis to eat. Sacraficial annode. Otherwise it eats the bores, heads, timing cover etc.
Brass welch plugs are NEVER fitted OEM as they understand this. You still need corrosion inhibitor as well as antifreeze for cold climates.
Cubic dollars baby!💸💸💸
Kudos to the owner getting all the best components for this build. Looking forward to this one for sure!
Nick's like a kid at X-Mas time. It's an early X-Mas for the Super Bee owner
what a pleasure to have this in your shop . cant wait to see it on the dyno.
The Hemi, the best breathing cylinder head devised by man. Arguably the worst combustion chamber there is.
Thanks Nick for including us in on the unboxing of parts of the most famous engine ever built IMO. Lots of fun seeing all these goodies and Nick you are the man.
hello nick and George this is going to be a great show
Thanks for joining us again, Danoh! 👍
that is some pile of parts you have there
he must have passed over a big stack of cash for them
I‘m glad to visit you, Nick, last Friday while I was in Montreal 😎
I remember way back in my garage a Keith Black roadrunner with blown engine. When we went to pull it it bent our beam had to replace with something heavier. But when it was running it was a beast. Great watching you play with all those great toys.
Dana "60" Glass. Already can't wait to hear the brand new elephant on the dyno.
That's going to be one cool and clean Hemi Nick, can't wait to see the build and dyno testing either.
Can't wait!
That guy put some big bucks into all that.
Nick is the King of Mopar!
It'll be interesting to see how smoothly this build goes together, given how these parts were sourced from so many different companies
I wondered if he'll do a little grinding and polishing clean-up?. Clean the edges on the block, casting.?
Fully agree there .
@@americafirstmaga5073with Nick's attention to detail i would certainly bet he will
Nick I think your nickname should be THE WIZ,as in Wizard for the magic you create I use to work in a Ford dealership and our shop Service manager's nickname was The Wiz he was a engineer from one of the Chrysler proving grounds in Michigan.I think you have earned the name as well.Salute.
Thanks so much!
That's a work of art...and that's BEFORE you've assembled it!!
Gonna be a beaut👍
I used to from them running Nitro to my last one 512Hemi in my last car I will ever build my 62Belvedere cancer savior 24 years now and don't have the strength to do anymore and I miss it really bad carry on Nick love watching your show brings back memories thank you Ser !

Nick,
Thank you for bringing us along. And please bring us along for the build to the extent possible.
Wow the cost of this engine is way above my dreams. The bare block alone is $6500

A awesome engine! You got to love a Hemi! Appreciate your efforts and quality content thanks Nick Luv&Peace Cheers to continued success friend 🤝🏼✌🏼💫
Crankshaft made in China (5:36) Is that all that is available?
Very nice Nick.
This certainly is going to be a good Hemi build.

A shopcart full of cash there. That is a significant investment.
Pretty amazing. Brand new motor. Thanks Nick
That Eagle crankshaft says made is china right on box . Damn .
Oh yeah, thanks for sharing this incredible build,i bet you far exceed 600hp and the torque is going to be off the charts Skittles said he can't wait to see it on the dyno,4.5 inch bore what a beast
This build deserved to get those new piston rings from total seal, with the newer style hone job.
It's like Christmas time watching all this unwrapping... and it's exactly what I want for Christmas... Great vid Nick...
Enjoy!
Oh you absolutely need to check the gaps on those rings, very cool build I can’t wait to see how it does
I can`t wait to see this on the dyno!
Thanks Nick!
You bet!
I wish he went with full roller rocker arms
Can't wait to see this one put all together!
Really nice Nick, thanks for this video.
