Hey babes! I’m Toni, the designer and instructor behind TL Yarn Crafts. I've designed over 100+ chic and practical crochet patterns for modern makers. Find your next sweater, shawl, and blanket project in my shop at tlyarncrafts.com/.
TLYC on RUclips is a crochet and craft enthusiast space where I share inspiration and education through tutorials for makers of all crochet skill levels. Since starting my creative business, I’ve been committed to exploring every nook and cranny of crochet and I’m excited to share my discoveries with you.
You are a life saver! I did not want to be tying knots every row for this baby blanket! Thank you so much!
Wow, I hope you realize how great you are at explaining and teaching! Bravo and thank you!! 😊
Beautiful stitch! Toni, you clearly you describe WHATEVER you are showing. I've been crocheting for more years than I care to mention, but haven't done much with tunisian crochet. I always thought it was good for dense fabrics (like placemats), but this is lovely and very soft looking. I have a small amount of a pretty yarn, so by adding another contrasting yarn it will probably be enough to make a cowl.
Honestly, I would be lost without you on my newly found passion for Tunisian. I will 👍🏼LIKE and comment a little something, on every video you post, no matter the content. I NEED you on this journey, and hope it helps your videos reach others that might need you too☺️
My eyes were opened today. I love tunisian, which I now know is the "simple tunisian" and is only one of many variations! Love this!
I can see how this would work beautifully with crochet mosaic patterns. ❤
You have a beautiful and pleasant speaking voice. Your tutorials are very clear and concise and at an ideal pace to follow along. Also I really like how you use the embroidery needle to lift and show exactly where to place hook. YOU ROCK!!
I have been excited to learn all these new stitches. It us amazing how many people describe the “bump”. At least I know what they are talking about. Thanks
Love this stitch, thank you so much. You make it look so easy the way you explain it. I am going to find two different colour yarns and try this ❤️
Thank you. This stitch and the block stitch are much more interesting for me than the simple stitch Tunisian. The drop-down double crochet “bar” gives interesting texture.
Blessings!
Your video tutorials are so great! Thank you!
Really enjoying the sampler blanket! Tomorrow I'll start this square!!!
Saw your thumbnail and thought "UUUUUUU like!" :D you make great tutorials!
That looks very lovely
What a great stitch. You are such a fantastic teacher, Thank you for your tutorials.
She is really clear. those places where people can get confused, she clarifies.
Thanks, Toni, for this lesson! I will make a baby blanket with soft yarns.
I first watched this and other videos when I attempted the holiday sampler blanket on your blog. I managed to make the whole thing in a month and was very proud of myself, but I did learn I prefer some stitches over others. This is one of my preferred stitches. I am now using it to make a scarf for the cold weather I hope will arrive soon!
This pattern stitch makes a lovely display. Thank you for sharing.
I am really enjoying your special tutorial tunisian brick stitches. Many thanks!
Love this stitch....Thank you for sharing.
Toni I like how you teach use.thanks
I love it. I’m gonna try this with stripping yarn.
This is one I am going to try, Toni, thank you so much for this tutorial x
LOVE THIS!!! Will probably make a cowl out of this stitch.
What an excellent prof! Thanks for this new lesson! I will make a blanket with this pattern! Thanks! Bronx, NY
Oh wow - I looked at that and thought, gosh how do you keep the tension with the colour change, and wow. I'm just a novice at Tunisian crochet, but I've been enjoying watching all your tutorials because you make it easy. Thank you - this is going to be my next scarf. 😍
Toni you make it look so easy

just joined . Your work is beautiful.
Liked video before l finished first minute , lol
Lovely, thank you for the tutorial. Do you have a tutorial on Tunisian mosaic crochet? Your videos and instruction are so good, I'd love to see one on this and how to convert regular overlay mosaic patterns to Tunisian mosaic.
thank you so much, you are a wonderful teacher, thank you
Love 💘
Great👐🏼 💯🥳
Sorry, but I love the nails!!
It’s like a Tunisian mosaic crochet.
THANK YOU for creating this tutorial! Your page is my first ever subscription and I made a brick stitch headband for my first go! I haven’t dug into your page, but as a newbie to Tunisian, was wondering if you could share your insight on something. I’m planning to make a blanket about 5’ wide and 6’ long using this pattern. Since im new, what length needle do I need and how do i sew the strips together? I’m experienced in crochet, but this is foreign to me. Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi 👋 thank you for all your great videos ! I am discovering Tunisian crochet… what stitch would you recommend to make a reversible baby blanket please ? Txs
Lovely stitch well explained- thank you. Are you using a Clover hook?
Very nice pattern!!love it!!thanks for sharing Toni..but i wonder what type of yarn is this?mind sharing that too?
Wow! Looks like mosaic crochet without all the extra ends. I wonder if you could use the charts with this technique?
👍
Love your tutorials! I am thinking of doing the crochet along to learn more about Tunisian crochet that I've marveled over since subscribing to your channel. My daughter purchased Inspirations Bernat velvet yarn for me to crochet a blanket for her some months back. Will this weight 5 6 work for this Tunisian project? I'm also going to view your video on choosing the Tunisian crochet needle.
My brain hiccuped when I saw you go "above" the horizontal bar, and not below the horizontal bar, which would make a genuine "FPDC" at the row below. But it's beautiful, regardless of my OCD tendencies. lol I'll just tell my brain that it's a variant of the FPDC that I'm used to. I hate my brain sometimes.
I planned to make placemats and was looking for just the right stitch. This is it! My only question is, how can i put a solid border around the finished placement?
hi! you can pick up stitches around the border - once you make the swatch, it'll be easy to see where you can pick up stitches for the border.
Does that brick pattern looks like stripes on the left side? We can use both!
how does the ends with color switch look like
Toni for this pattern do u need to use two colors or can u use variegated yarn
I am always concerned as to how the back looks. Do you have a picture of the back of the swatch?
Is the pattern the same on both sides?
Here's the big question... how do you avoid the curl?
Hi Toni I'm trying the CAL 2020. I am curious where do I post pictures of my progress? I am not on Instagram or any of those social media platforms. Please help, thank you love your videos 🌝👍
Hi! Are you on Facebook, perhaps? You're welcome to post them in my Facebook group, TLYCMakers.
Does this roll like a plain simple stitch?
It will curl some, yes.
@@TLYarnCrafts thank you
can you do this with 1 color?
i mean, you could, but you wouldn't see the effect
I was not successful on the tunisanweave stitch.
