- This video shows most typical situations when using the Sticky Gun. To summarize:
1. Hit triangle to catch it at the right moment.
2. It can hit, and bounce off of other surfaces.
3. You can't use it while standing on a latter.
4. Your momentum from catching cargo can send you off a cliff.
5. Don't put a latter down with the front end up like I did...

There's one recovery order from Cosplayer where you have to recover some stuff from the waterfall, Sticky Gun makes that order a hundred times easier.

Best uses for it I've found is the waterfall retrieval mission & the mission in the mountains where you have to traverse down into that big trench with the toxic gas.
The sticky gun is underrated!
Sticky gun wasn't my most used tool, but thought it was weird we never had a lvl 2 variant with longer range.
I know considering MULES can lock onto you from 200 meters out. Although I do appreciate the fact that when they latch on to you it yanks you back.
Death stranding was a fu*ked up journey I never thought I'd enjoy, basically an uber driver for two weeks with no pay and I loved it, I'm starting to think I may be an idiot lol.

I think you can also hold triangle when the box is coming. 240 hours into DS already and I am loving it.

dangit I kept forgetting this gun existed.
Its a good tool for when you need to reach out and are either lazy to walk, or hard to actually reach.
Can even use it to yank off items from Mules, though, they do instantly notice you afterwards, since you literally rip that cargo off of them.
Also, you CAN use it while walking on a ladder. Its a gun, Sam doesnt need legs to operate a gun.
Dammit.. 100+ hours of this game and always figured the sticky gun was useless.. lol
You can also use it on climbing anchors.

@@DonutHolestien I believe taking cargo from the ground much easier than from moving enemy.
@@mentaltissue7171 Indeed. When you receive the weapon for the first time, it states it for use against MULEs and doesn't mention other uses

The problem I found with doing it on these missions is sometimes Sam would grab it, but slam it into the fucking ground on the way to stacking it on his back. Insta fail.

You're not using the sticky gun near a trench unless you have at least one life or death moment where using it and grabbing your cargo almost makes you fall in this guy knows what's up

This is genuinely one of my favorite items in the game... after Hematic Grenades, Cord Cutter and Zip-Lines.
Let's not forget the bola gun. Way more effective than rubber guns because a headshot instantly knocks out a terrorist with a bola. And you can use bola to incapacitate a BT so you can cut off their cords freely.

I still kinda prefer using the bola on the mules and homo demens tho
@@versatilelord8893 And thus because I use bola to stop both demens and BTs, I instead carry a lethal gun to use against BT bosses by throwing a hematic grenade against them then shooting bullets through the blood cloud to do extra damage. Lethal rounds without blood don't do any damage.

first time i went to one of these i died because i didnt have an oxygen mask... then i brought one... ONE... i still got knocked out XD This is great!

Gravity gloves are amazing for this, but don't have that kind of range. Either way it is a handy tool too keep around.
A much more novel use is using it on mules who aren't carrying anything at all. They stumble and trip
Yup! I like to do that, get them to lose their footing and then finish them off with a satisfying strand takedown.
You can also pull mules off balance so they fall into the crack

There really should have been more tiers of tools/weapons. For example, a level 2 or 3 sticky gun could pull items from further distances.

I have sticky gun on me at all times but i never used it once and thought later in the game this gun doesn't do me any good and i get rid of it.
This is like average use of sticky gun, and you dont have to catch it at the right moment, you can just keep pressing L2 or and R2 while waiting it to fly back to you to catch it 100% of the time.
rating of this video : 90 IQ use of sticky gun, very average.

It is. Usually I carry it over something else I don’t need for that route or if have a bit too many weapons I’ll place in a vehicle or floating carrier

Yeah the story is interesting and it's mostly just a chill game if you like strategy games like Civ 5 or rimworld id say give it a try
It's very different from those games but for some reason It gave me the same vibe I feel when play strategy games
What is you wearing on the right leg ?
Thermal Pad for keeping you warm in cold regions. After finishing order #55 you should be able to make them. they're good on mountains but can harm temp-sensitive cargo. At that point in the game I just always had one on so I wouldn't totally freeze on my next mountain climb after forgetting to take one lol.

It's actually a solid title, stylish and interesting conceptually. If appealing gameplay to people is online shooters though idk what to say...
@@Saskidan I get what he's saying though. I'm sure the narrative is pretty awesome and makes the gameplay that much better, but with prompts like "PRESS R2 to shift weight right," you gotta admit he kinda has a point. Especially if this video is showing you cool tricks you can do lmao.

@l o l Just looking at the clip with no context to the game, it looked like he has an exo suit, idk I haven't played the game yet. And looking at the way he carry the load is quite intuitive ain't it? Would you carry a load that moves your center of gravity away from you ? So the logical thing if you do have superhuman strength with the help of exo suit, you would want to stack it like jenga or balance it so your COM is as close to you as possible. Likewise the separate storages has the same logic to it.

The story is SO confusing, and I didn't think I'd like it, but it's surprisingly fun! Especially the online aspect where players help each other. I played the HELL out of this game.

@@versatilelord8893 I do, I’ve beaten it twice. It’s just the stuff about the extinction entity stuff with Bridgett/Ameilie I didn’t care so much for. A bit too convoluted. I love Kojima, but sometimes stuff in his stories makes my head hurt. lol
@@SunBunz I agree. The Bridget and Amelie stuff is actually the only things that threw me off a bit. That and why mama was able to birth a bt somehow
