Sophia is a fanfiction writer in another dimension
Or she's a fictional character bored in her life and has dreams of living a more interesting life.
The og y/n writer
She would have loved ao3
“I thought all these stories of yours took place in Sicily?”
“Can’t a person go away for the weekend!?!”
@JCEntertainmnet i know same here.. gosh wow Sofia can fast talk as well as she can trash talk! 🍷😆
16:51-16:54 LOL!
I wish there was a book called "Picture It" and it was filled with all of Sophia's stories.
Was thinking the same thing! Would definitely add that to my Golden Girls collection 😄

@dplouro. Picture this: Canada 2024 Still watching Still watching Sophia and the girls ... RIP, girls
@Lady.B.ellinor4971. Agreed. Although, England has some excellent comedy shows in itself ... Here are some, that I absolutely love forever: The Vicar Of Dibley, Mr Bean, Are You Being Served, Keeping up Appearances, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder.

I would like to grow old as feisty as Sophia. She's really my spirit animal.
It's my plan on life.
I’d love to reach 80 but sadly I probably won’t. Both my parents died in their early 70s 😢
Ive heard the term my spirit animal applied to different interesting people but with Sophia it really clicks in place!!! Nice call 😀😀❤️❤️🔥🔥
ad Yetta, from The Nanny, and I'm cool. 👍
@@RazvanMihai88 That sounds fair. If I would get Fran, you can "add Yeta.”
Pleasure doing business with you!!!
My late father LOVED to say "picture this...Sicily..." and tell a story. These made me laugh and think of him. Thanks!
That's nice.
Aweee may he rest in peace
It reminds me of my father back in Saint Olaf....
Was he actually from Sicily?
Picture this; 2nd April 2024 sitting in my university hostel room while watching this masterpiece and laughing out loud without caring about the assignments that have to be done 😂
Knowing Sophia, it wasn't so hard to believe that she knew all those people😂
Also, I love whenever she says "passionate".
Knowing Sophia she made up most of these stories if not all of them just for attention.
The second story even made Blanche shocked/confused and maybe even jealous 😂😂😂😂😂
I could listen to these stories all day
Seriously!!!

Ikr! They're great! 😂
Picture it: heaven 2022… the golden girls unite.
I love the stories which end with "that girl was me...the other one was..."
I could listen to these Sicily stories from Sophia all the day long 😂😂
I never forgot the Yalta Conference story. Every time Yalta popped up on some program or in my history classes I would think of Sophia. 😂👍
Rendezvous with Sophia 😂
@Saturnusplanetkraft You know, I never bothered to look up the Yalta Conference. It all makes sense now. 😂
Whenever I tuned in to “The Golden Girls”, I was always hoping to hear either “Picture it...!” from Sophia or “Back in St. Olaf...!” from Rose. Then you knew something funny was going to follow! Particularly if Dorothy was in the room as well! 😁
"Mom I have a feeling you're lying
Oh, be positive
Okay I'm positive you're lying"😂😂😂
Lol. Sophia, "after cappuccino they shot the cook!"
Makes me laugh everytime
Picture it, Washington 2024, it's late into the evening and it's black as pitch outside, save for a few fairy lights the back neighbors hung up last summer. You're watching the Golden Girls on youtube and crafting a Mother's Day card for your mom, hoping that you'll be able to finish before you end up sleeping with half of your face covered with glitter.
Love Sophia RIP❤️
Grand lady.
Love Sophia too. Rest ln Peace ☮️.
Rest in peace Sophia Estelle Getty
I was not watching the show unless that marathon was going to be mandatory in regards of the late Estelle Getty's sad passing.
I really miss this show and these women, I wish all of them were still alive
Better to be left wanting more than for something to wear out its welcome.
Especially now having Beloved Betty (Rose Nylund) White passing away yesterday (12.31.20)
2022😪
I still miss all four of them. I'm not ashamed to admit that the fact that they're all gone hurts. A whole lot. RIP Estelle, Bea, Rue, and Betty.
They live on forever making us laugh ❤
*Imagine Sophia narrating horror stories on RUclips.*
🤣🤣🤣🤣
*She's so good* 😅
Mostly stories about Shady Pines! 😉
Picture it, the Wild Woods on a dark and stormy night.... a young lone girl has lost her way while hiking.....
Ends it with “that young girl was me” 😂
Tho out of context...That psycho part when she re-enacted the knife scene and scared the girls dead killed me 😂😂

Just sitting here listening to Sophia brings back so many great memories with my momma. She absolutely loved the Golden Girls. We would watch it every morning just to get our day started. Thank you for being a friend was like roll call. Thanks for posting all this great Sophia footage.
Yes! Such a good way to put it. “A roll call.” I was 6 when I watched it with my mom and whenever the theme song would start to play I’d run over to the tv and settle in lol
I love Sophia's Sicily stories. I could listen to her stories all day. 😂😂🙂🙂❤️❤️
Rose: “DO They Have Chores In Sicily?”
Sophia: “Are You Kidding? They ‘INVENTED’ Chores In Sicily! ‘Crossing A Street WITHOUT Getting Printed’ Was A CHORE In Sicily!!”
Dorothy: “Rose, NEVER Mention ‘Sicily’.”
SOME OF THE BEST TOP CLASSIC LINES FROM THE GOLDEN GIRLS LEGACY!!
"Printed"? It's actually "crossing the street without getting *pregnant* was a chore in Sicily".
@@eduardo_corrochio Rose: How do you get pregnant just by crossing the street? 🤨
Sophia: Cheap Chianti and narrow streets.
Never fails to crack me up! 😆😂🤣

I miss my mom. Her stories...🙏🏽❤️🌈
My grandmother had a saying for every situation and stories galore
How I wished I would of written them down! It was great having an Italian grandmother!
I’m surprised that Blanche never called Sophia a human mattress.
lol
Good point!
In one episode, Blanche tells Sophia that she looks like Yoda. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
These just Crack me up!
She dident want to swim with the fish in a concretbikini😉😀
Classic TV, back then there was nothing better than the Golden Girls.
The raining cats and pepperonis really got me 😂😂😂
RIP Betty White. Y'all are all back together again
I just loved Sophia stories.
Sophia: picture it, Germany, 1922.
Rose: Germany? where you on vacation, Sophia?
Sophia: spy, it was a summer job.
You left off the best part of the Mama Celeste story, where Sophia made an obscene gesture at (presumably) a frozen pizza.
"Abbundanza!"
Dorothy [disbelieving Sophia's Pablo Picasso story]: "Ma, I have a feeling you're lying"
Rose: "Be positive, Dorothy"
Dorothy [to Sophia]: "OK I'm positive you're lying"
(Sophia wasn't necessarily lying, just prone to a lot of exaggeration)
I mean _what_ an actress.
She created such joy
You didn't show the Sicily story where Bea Arthur plays Sophia's mother and Grandma had her own story when Sophia interrupted her and Grandma slapped her. Good stuff.
I love the reversal of the roles with the actresses.
God bless Golden Girls for making my life complete !!!! Love them all always !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish someone would post the one where Bea Arthur was playing "Eleanor Grisanti", Sophia's mother, in a 1954 flashback. Eleanor Grisanti says, "Picture it: Sicily; 1881... A beautiful, young peasant girl..." and then Sophia says, "Oh Ma... Not another story!" And then Eleanor Grisanti says, "Sophia, come closer..." and then she slaps her across the face. Comedy gold!!!
I love these stories because of their historical connections. The accurate yet comical connections are just great. The Yalta Conference joke gets me every time.
I hope I'm as colorful as Sophia when I'm older.
Me too! “I’m old of course I’m gonna be colorful “ 😀😀
These were always some of my favorite moments in the show. Picture it, California, 2004: a young boy is watching and enjoying The Golden Girls with his grandmother.
Picture it. Missouri. 2022. Still enjoying Golden Girls.
I miss my girls.
I used to try to figure out where she'd go with the story before she reached the end😁
It's raining cats and pepperoni...i will use that forever.
It would’ve been funny if in one episode, they find out all these stories were true
I could also listen to these stories all day
Picture it: Lenexa, KS, 2023. I'm watching Sophia tell her Sicily stories on RUclips.
I'm surprised that over seven seasons there are merely less than twenty minutes worth of Sophia's wacky tales of her youth. Anyway, I wish these were chronological so you could see the hairdos on Dorothy and Blanche change, LOL.
@@falsettogod5853 😄
Maybe because that's not all of them. Some others not mentioned: Charles the mole, Golda Meir, guy singing 0 Solo Mio, Bruno Bonofiglio, Marco the Goat Boy, best meal not sex story, the gameshow Torture, the girl all the village men followed...And there are still others
@@HMRLTL Well, the torture joke is part of a conversation (in the "Grab That Dough" episode) and not so much a story; it's _almost_ a "Picture It" story. But Charles the Mole is totally a Sophia story, so this video is not *Every* tale she regaled the girls with.
@@eduardo_corrochio and not every story in the video is a picture it story like being the Don King of Sicily or beating the laundry on a rock or cooking outdoors. A lot of them are just "in sicily..."

I miss you Estelle Getty :(
Estelle getty and judge Judy could have passed as sisters. I bet you Sophia could out talk judge Judy. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Picture this: Manila, 2024. Still watching Golden Girls to make me happy. 😍🥰
I miss the 80s!!!
Their faces at 1:37 had me howling.
Sophia IS lying about Picasso, if my math is right in 1912 she was only 7 years old, she was 80 when the show started in 1985, which means she was born in 1905
Actually, she was born on April 12, 1916, and was 79-89 throughout the show.
"Ma I'm positive you're lying!" 😂
Of course she was lying. Sophia is just like very other old person that age.. she says things not caring if they are true or not.
@@Panwere36
Haa HuHaaa or LOL
This show had many lapses in continuity, but it didn't matter to the story that week, so all was forgiven.
A place for comfort where I always return to have a visit whilst in the company of these Golden Girls.
Estelle Getty was a year younger than Dorothy...born in 1920s! Rose was oldest.
I will watch ANYTHING... ‘’PICTURE IT SICILY”...LOVE MY GIRLS😘😘😂😂
Sophia's stories are the best! My Great Great Grandmother came from Sicily! She was just as saucy as Sophia. And she told the best stories! God bless you, Great Grandmomma Trixie!!
Everything about sophia is hilarious
I Love this show I always watch this y'all
Some funny stuff was edited out here.

ITS FUNNY cause in real life she was actually the youngest person 😂
Estelle getty was one younger than bea arthur. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Rue was the youngest
GET OUTTA HERE! NO WAY.. 😆
Estelle was the second youngest. Rue was the youngest.
Rue McClanahan: Am I a joke to you?
I'll have a serving of linguine with ear salve please!😊
I like all the stories. All the Golden Girls they are hilarious. That's why l never get tired of watching them. Thanks for the upload. 10/7/21.
They should make a Golden Girls prequel about Sophia’s adventures in Sicily. I mean they should have…30 years ago. Estelle Getty could have provided narration a la Wonder Years or How I Met Your Mother. The series could have ran from 1992-1999, and it would have been much better received than Golden Palace.
Yeah that was a huge missed opportunity
I wanna be Sophia when i grow up
And I want to see her dress like Alma.
Omg my grandma had a similar story about winston Churchill from the time he was deployed in Indian north west frontier province prepartition. 😂🤣😂🤣. An I’m positive I made this up. Except my grandma did have a lot of Sophia in her … feisty spicy and full of stories from her youth. Embellished and exaggerated and of course she used to work alone at them as well😄
Sophia tells the best stories.
When she talks about the peasant girl, don't have a drink in your hand, or food in your mouth.
Sophia's comebacks are priceless...The spunk and quick wit...I always waited for it, half way through Blanche's' monologue...I felt anxious like, "Knock her out already, Sophia"...She was my favorite...Sophia's character must have been some "Sexy Vamp" in her youth...She knew exactly where Blanche was coming from and how to pour that bucket of Ice water on it...LOL...RIP girls...We miss you soo much...
Bea and her facial expressions🤣
Thank you Sophia - Picture it! San Francisco, 1973. ❤️👶🏾
@1:14-2:09 my favorite story and how Sophia’s look on her face makes me laugh and then Dorothy’s reaction is just priceless
16:45 - CAN’T A PERSON GO AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND??! 😂🤣😂
Amusing but I couldn't help but notice the reference to 1912... rather odd because Sophia would only have been no more than 10 which makes some of the stories somewhat awkward.
Thats the point... they are all fake made up stories lol
@@nomdeplume2213 Yes of course they are made up, but the 1912 date was surely a mistake in the writing. Normally Sophia refers to 1922.
Her memory is also kinda slippery so mistakes are likely
Thank you, I requested this!
I need Sophia's Sicily stories& Rose's St. Olaf stories in my life now my than ever.
It's the way she stares off that gets me.
picture it Sardinia 1922... I thought your stories happened in Sicily... can't anybody go away for the weekend!!!!????😂😂
This is show is my ultimate favorite...
Although Sophia on
golden Girls told
Some good stories
They were funny as hell
Then you had to wait for
The time to laugh..😄😄😄
My favourite episode. 👍
I watched this show with my Grandma & family when it was originally airing - priceless memories of laughter (& Grandma explaining some things easier than Mom & Dad could, & with humor that eased the "ew" parts) ❤ Thank You!
Just visited Sicily this summer and I had her voice “picture it, Sicily 19-“ lol
Sophia mentioned the year 1922 quite a bit. That was the year Betty White was born. Don't know if they did that on purpose or not, but I found it to be interesting.
Me when I have grandkids:
"Picture it: New York, 2020. A young girl pains to go outside but becomes imprisoned in her home!"
My grandkids: "Why were you stuck in the house?"
Me: "Because there was a global pandemic, it was either stay inside or die!"
My favorite story is Pablo Picasso story. Passionate, intriguing and memorable. Sophia doesn't realizes Pablo Picasso does abstracts painting maybe that's why she' s angry. I wish the story said the painting was sold and he gave a portion. He was forgiven and I was famous and slightly rich!
How about a book called, "Picture it" "Back in St. Olaf". It could a Sophia story, then a Rose story as long as the tales hold out.
3:52 I love how she says she works alone.
My absolute favorite series of all time ❤🦉💜🥰☘
😇🙏🤣⭐🌛⭐
Same!! 🤭
"sticks & stones may break ur bones.....but cement pay honor to tradition!!
"How he could hold his pallet without using his hands"
😂😂😆
My gram was born in Sicily and she reminds Of me of her to a T! Even how she looks. Every time I see her I miss gram even more! She’s been gone almost 30yrs now. I have her wedding portrait hanging in my dining room. My youngest daughter looks like her so much, but I have her personality which drove my mother nuts. My mom hates her and took it out on me,but I didn’t care cause Gram favored me out of 13 grandkids. She was a loaded pistol! Lol made me laugh just looking at her! Gram was so tiny smaller than Sophia
Aww! My grandma looked more like Bea and so did my mom so watching Bea/ Dorothy gives me a similar comfort. My gran had Bea/Maude/Dorothy’s deadpan wit as well!! I love Sophia too though because she reminds me of a very sweet lady I used to know from my childhood…
Picture this: Minnesoda 2021 my younger sister who started highschool suddently enjoyed watching episodes of the Golden Girls. A year later I made a Golden Girls birthday skit for her and she loved it.
She's so right as a New Yorker born and raised I can testify to that. That was and to some extent is how we got things done in New York.
6:15 Fun fact, when Estelle Getty was looking down at her palms to”take grapes out of her hand to eat” but it was really because her lines were written on her palms.
if she was 80 in 1985, Sophia would have been 7 years old in 1912 and 17 years old in 1922
