Please is it possible to upgrade from the Microsoft business 365 business basic account to the Business standard?

Yeah. You would do that inside admin center. Buy the new license you need then transfer your users to the new license. Then cancel the original licensing.

Hi, thank you so much for this video. I have a question. I want to use the same email that I already use with my personal account. So when they ask me to sign in or create a new account, would you still advise me to create a new one? My reason for choosing to just sign in would be to be able to access my documents and data on the personal account through an upgrade to the business account.

You have a personal (home) Microsoft 365 subscription? If so, yes. There's no simple setting to upgrade to a business account. So you'll purchase the M365 business plan, and sign up. You can use the same email. You'll just have to prove you own the domain. Or transfer the domain to Microsoft 365. Then, you'll need to migrate your email and data to the new business account. Migration can be done manually by literally copying files over or automatically in Microsoft 365 admin center. It takes some setup but there is a migration procedure inside the Admin Center. That way, you can have all your email in your new inbox with the same folders, etc. This can help you: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/switch-to-a-microsoft-365-for-business-subscription-9322ffb8-a35d-4407-8ebe-ed6ea0859b9f

OK, I liked this video BUT, it is a vague incomplete, and misleading as all the others. The question this subject does not want to answer, and creators avoid is: A small business has 20 employees, they are a contracting company. The company is considering a “Basic” or “Standard” Ms Bus plan. But the employees need to ba able to use email and “Teams” to corroborate from different job sites. Will the company have to buy 20 licenses? What is the lowest price license available? How can they make a shared mailbox work, if at all possible? Can the included five devices be used as 5 separate licenses? So you see, the hoopla about “300” users is misleading if not an out right lie; isn’t it? Please explain.

What's misleading? This one video will not answer all your questions. I walked you through some considerations for choosing the right license. Yes, you would need one license for each user/employee. You can mix and match the licenses depending on what each employee needs. For example, not everyone may need desktop versions of excel/word apps so then you can give them the basic license. A shared mailbox doesn't need a license. A shared mailbox is added to individual users who are already licensed. License is per users and they can have several devices with that one license.

I have 3 partners do I need each one of them to have an account?

They should NOT sign and pay for Microsoft 365 business separately. You’ll add them as users after you sign up for Microsoft 365 business. Then they’ll have their own login (account) for your organization.

@@ApexOneTech Thanks a lot so the business will need 4 users total and pay for 4 users correct, but under the business and not individually.
