    I have done the same flight myself and there is no way one can describe the emotions and beauty of this scenery. It simply must be lived. Flying low, from morning to evening seeing the light change the colours, and with no clouds is simply unique. Micke your 6h flight must have been among the best of your numerous crossing!

    Hi Micke, what a beautiful video; thank you for sharing this with us! I have got into the habit of programming the AP before the departure. That allows me to check whether the routing is entered correctly and compare it with the clearance. Finally, I have to activate the AFCS when up in the air without tipping a further button. For landing, I fly and train a landing decision point concept with the 62. Until LDP I fly with flaps T/O and 110 KIAS, then the decision to land is made and after that flaps LDG with Vtgt. That gives me the advantage of excess power for a GA in a OEI situation with a much better climb rate. My experience is 1 kt over Vref results in 20 ft/min climb rate. With the 62 with 110 KIAS, then 400 Ft/min plus over Vy climb rate until the Vy is pitched. Take care of you my friend and always happy landings!

    I think you're interpreting the wind not correctly on the GRAMET. The headwind you are talking about is actually a tailwind! The tip of the wind arrow shows to the right and the tail (feathers) is on the left, so the wind is coming from left, i.e. it's a tailwind.. but never mind, nice videos!

    • @MickeLang
      @MickeLang  Год назад

      No I’m not, you have to take a look on the magenta arrow which shows the track (north west) and the wind arrow then comes almost from the front, it’s a headwind.

    GREAT! Thank you so much.
    Linguistic and logical detail: When you arrive in a foreign country, you cannot wish yourself or fellow travelers a "welcome to Greenland" or whatever. Local people can do that, but not those who arrive. Linguistic nonsense that one often hears in cabin crew announcements by flight attendants or pilots who have rather little linguistic sensibility.
    Gilt auch im Deutschen: In Grönland anzukommen und sich und andere willkommen zu heissen, ist bestenfalls ungeschickt, schlimmstenfalls grob unhöflich. Es ist als ob Sie einen Fremden in einem für Sie fremden Haus willkommen hiessen. Das steht Ihnen nicht zu. Alleine der Empfangende und Heimische darf das.
    Ist eine Kleinigkeit, die nichts an den wunderbaren Bildern, die Sie uns geschenkt haben, ändert.
    Many happy landings.
