    Thank you for another fantastic video. I have an office job as an engineer spending countless hours in front of the computer. For fun I rent a Cirrus from a club that I fly around South Western USA dreaming about doing ferry flights like you do. You’re “living the dream “ flying such beautiful planes all over the world! Thanks for taking us boring office workers with you …❤️✈️

      Thank you Werner but who says that your job is boring? To me this sounds interesting!
      Every job got it's pros and cons, so does mine and I am honest I only show you this here, the fun part of the job.
      You don't want to know how many hours I sit in front of the computer with paper stuff ;)
      Again, thanks for watching Werner :)

    Key Micke - great video as always - you did sound a bit tired as you were departing - lots of flying, but your professionalism continues to show through while also showing that ferry flying can be hard work sometimes!
    I'm working on my instrument rating in the DA42-VI over the next few months, and loved flying an older version of the DA42 during my multi-engine rating.
    Keep up the great work and amazing videos!

    Night flying, not the best think I liked to do. It’s first the landing, will my wheels actually touch the ground, then navigating the airport. I enjoyed watching the flight. Did you programme the Oceanic clearance before takeoff?

    • @MickeLang
      @MickeLang  Год назад

      I always have the complete flight plan in the G1000 and if the oceanic clearance would be different then I would just change it :)

      To fly at night is easier than to fly in the day. Day has alot of winds.

    • @classicraceruk1337
      @classicraceruk1337 Год назад

      @@jasonMB999 It is not, I am a very lapsed PPL/ IR and I can tell you landing at night is a nightmare. Waiting for those wheels to touch down in the blackness was not a thing I enjoyed. I would rather do an approach in IMC to minimums in the day. At least eventually I could see some runway. I can tell you winds can be just as high at night…

    • @jasonMB999
      @jasonMB999 Год назад

      @@classicraceruk1337 lol. And me I have almost 200 hours and regularly fly at night. All my night landings are much easier than day landings since day 1, I even often try to give myself a challenge by keeping landing lights off, but it's still easy. Fly more at night and you will agree with me. If not then I guess you're just different.

    Is it cold inside the cabin? I mean this suite of yours looks pretty warm.

    • @MickeLang
      @MickeLang  Год назад +1

      This is an immersion suit. This is a water/air tight suit which would give you the time to get into the life raft in case of a ditching. And no it's not cold it's very hot in the suit haha Cabin temp is good in all Diamonds, except when the outside air temperature is below -30°C and no sun is out ;)

    Hi Pilot, I have a Question and I will hope that you can give me an answer. We are flying Embraer Phenom 300 with Garmin G3000. It is possible that the Garmin system can show ships at the Ozean. I have seen this application in one Video, but I’m not sure if it was yours. But maybe you can say me if it’s possible and when how I can turn on, these application. Greetings from northern Germany

    • @MickeLang
      @MickeLang  Год назад

      Hi Luma,
      I don't think this function is available in the Garmin but I think I know what you are thinking about.
      When we/I spot ships in the ocean, I program them as an "user waypoint" in the G1000. So in case of an emergency I can use the "nearest" function to quickly go to the position where I spotted it. Also important to write down the direction of the boat, otherwise you might not find it anymore.
      Hope this clears up the question.
      BR Micke

      The voice recording when transmitting always sounds different from the way the feedback tone is done, but you also do change how you talk for clarity and to match the format. When we do it, we always do the normal call, and then say thanks or similar after the calls, but only when things aren't busy. Our GA FIS is on a shared frequency with departures so the controllers can have a busy day sometimes.
