In a world of virtue-signalling liars and constant cultural gaslighting, it’s a real joy just to hear good people speaking honestly. The human heart is starved for truth today.
I remember dealing with a stroke victim (my mom) and she was completely incapable of moving. Nursing homes nearly always abuse people in her situation...I had proof they had been treating her poorly and took her home to my house. It was such a hard thing to do yet one of the proudest moments in my life. My sister and nephews refused to help take care of her...but I managed. I stepped up. Good women are protected by good men.
That is a huge step. My wife died of a combination of cancer and serious doctor screw ups. Mostly, the medical system killed her. I appreciate you myself; I can speak to that on experience; I am hemiplegic from a stroke. Left side is paralyzed; right side works normally; fortunately my family had done research on places I could end up in; but the best option was my own home.👍🏻 I’ll bet your mom appreciates you more than you know.

I'm so thankful I stopped and watched. it's January 2nd 2024 and I'm already having a little. Just a tiny little hope 2024 will be turn out to be okay For now.
I lost my grandpa in October of 2023 and I've lived with him for quite a long time. I just wanted to say thank you for talking to the camera as if you are talking directly to a person. It brings me back to sitting in my little town restaurant with my grandpa while he told me about his life. ❤ Lots of love, and thank you.
Retired LEO here. Been there. I've walked up the steps before. Turned around and backed off too when no lives were at stake. You find out what kind of man you really are when nobody is looking. It's a lot easier to show courage when you have an audience and a lot tougher when it's just you and God. Respect to you.
I admire men and women like you and Dewayne, Sir. All police officers are judged by the actions of the rotten few in todays world. The way police are treated by a large section of society (from one side of the political aisle in the vast, VAST majority of cases) makes me extremely... angry isn't the right word I think, but certainly makes me despair a little bit for the future. We can see exactly what happens when the government and those in power are on the side of the criminals rather than the law abiding citizens. All you need to do is look at Chicago and New York to see how much that, frankly speaking, fucks everyone else over. To all members of Law Enforcement, I think you are some of the bravest people in the world and (the vast majority of you) have my total respect and gratitude. Take care of yourself!
That’s exactly what the video game silent hill is about. How far, and deep are you willing to go for the ones, or one you truly love, and that matter to you the most. What are you willing to do, and face regardless of the outcome? Are you willing to go through the darkness, and fight demons alone in a foreign location uncharted by man? Are you willing to face the ugly truth about the false realities that the matrix has created, and step foot in the rabbit hole not knowing what it leads to, or if you’ll even make it out alive knowing you could in fact be alone, and lost forever? What do you do if you’re in that situation already? You have no choice, but to keep going, and fighting through hell to destroy the darkness that is trying to engulf you. You don’t care who, what, when, how, or why you’re being attacked because at this point the only thing that matters is staying alive, and you will continue to fight until you keep winning because God is in control, and always gets the glory no matter what we do, or don’t do. We don’t need, or get the credit we deserve for anything because we THINK we deserve it, but we really don’t, and we don’t need it to begin with. God has already infinitely seen, and done everything which includes transcending all of time, space, and matter, every possible direction, and outcome of every single situation, idea, thought, or process including existence itself, we could ever possibly phantom. We don’t need to think, or understand, but we need to KNOW the truth of who He really is, and see Him face to face by His grace, mercy, all His sacrifice, and entire blood He has shed for every single sin committed since the beginning to the end of time that anyone including myself has ever committed on this earth. We can only get to His kingdom by trusting in Jesus Christ the son of God that He is our LORD, and savior that we may follow Him, and seek first His kingdom as He tells us to do, and all other things shall be added unto us. Anyone who took the time to read this I hope it made sense, and all those who have not read this, this far, or may not fully understand, or understand what I’m saying at all God bless you anyways, and Jesus loves you.
Thank you Dewayne, as a 21 year old man I'm really focused on becoming and growing into a strong, intelligent, dependable man. You're a light for us young men in a feminized world. I appreciate it.
"that child deserves more than what you are," - for any mothers out there.... i needed to hear this today Dewayne. "Its a dangerous world out there. Meet danger with danger." "I would die for you is small potatoes" "Its in the heart, not in the biceps" I truly hope you and your family is well. I love your videos, I am a married woman who takes all advice like this to heart.
I heard from a wise man saying, "If you're not willing to lay your life for your family(meaning to protect your wife and children knowing it will harm or kill you by doing so), you do not deserve any." Courage=Doing it anyway inspite of the danger that lays ahead.
@@jeffrey6618 If you wanted more context, it was spoken by Ben Franklin. The exact quote is, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.". It is mean literally, not figuratively. The quote is far from being a pro-privacy, if anything, it's a pro-taxation and pro-defense spending quotation. It is a quotation that defends the authority of a legislature to govern in the interests of collective security.
@@yuki3034 It is meant literally, but No, it does not defend legislative bodies. Saying that sacrificing freedom for temporary security is a direct challenge to legislative bodies and governments. The fundamental idea behind The Constitution is freedom, the individual taking security into their own hands.
Since I was eight I’ve been in multiple fights which forced me to learn how to defend myself some altercations were with weapons as well. Still carry the scars with assurance that no one that I love will come to harm. I payed for everything I did and now at the ripe age of twenty three I’ve learned not every man was born to be a warrior. I know men like this who have never fought, one question I’ve always asked them if something did happen and you put my life and your life in danger by not defending yourself I will come for you. They all agreed I was right. I thank you for your wisdom sir. I have always wished I had a father like you. My father failed me but I will not fail my son.
My father, a former Special Operations guy who now rests in peace, showed me once or twice that any harm by an outsider to his loved ones would be met with unapologetically savage consequences. I was witness to that and know how it strengthens the trust, bond, and commitment to one another within a family. I have zero doubt about what my obligations are to my family, both alive and in their afterlife. That's all I need to say about that on the internet.
I totally agree. Doing things out of fear just leads to a life of fear for you and yours. Doing things for honor, respect, and because you believe they are right leads to a life of honor & respect.
I want to thank you for making these videos. After my breakup I was feeling very low, I hated myself and I felt hopeless. But after watching your videos, over time, I learned to be comfortable with myself. I learned that my flaws are apart of who I was/am and I can work on those things. I can become a better person, friend, family member, and partner. The idea of knowing that I am so comfortable with myself that I can say "I don't need you, but I want you" is so profound. I'm also learning about my interests and how to communicate properly to other people. It gives me the confidence I need to believe in myself, especially since I didn't in the past.
November 1979 I was hauling a pneumatic tanker loaded with sand from Rock Springs Wyoming to Lander in a cab over International. Going down the pass the gearbox popped out of gear and then I lost my brakes. I was losing control of the truck on the curves and had to make the decision to steer off the road or wipe out a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. It took all I had to steer off the road up a treeless knoll but I did. At the top of the hill was a 1/2 mile drop into a ravine on the other side. The cab broke off the chassis as the truck flipped several times after I jackknifed it. It took 2 days to recover the rest of the rig from the bottom. A trooper told me the last time 2 other drivers tried to ditch a truck there they were both killed. I’m hearing you loud and clear. I’ll be 69 next month but I can still do what needs to be done.
I had no father to tell me this. One day I was attacked by a dog, panicked and hid behind my little sister. Dog was not even dangerous, I was 6 years old and remember this like it was yesterday. Shame that never gone away.. All fathers should listen and teach their young boys what school don't. God bless you, Dwayne, for this video 🙏
School taught me just what I needed to know... whenever there's a problem 99% won't even make a move. they will freeze, falter, and fall.... They lack the ability to critically think. they lack the Will to ACT. I'll sooner take a wrong step, or even many wrong steps just to know what direction i'm heading.... but once you've got your bearings, how much more could you head in the wrong direction.
Life is worth it, it may not look like it right now. You must have faith, enjoy nature, talk to new folks, and do your best to travel. Good luck Brotha.
Hallelujah and Amen to "Perpetrators make a choice and ask for the consequences". Solid truth. Much respect for "Do not be afraid of the law, be afraid of not measuring up to who you know you are!" Love the depth of thoughts and wisdom. May God bless you and Mama!
Dewayne, as a strong independent woman, there is no other man I would want as my partner than the one you are speaking of. Also, I would whole heartedly give my life to protect my child no questions asked because that is what a mother does. Great message today. Much love to you and Mama ❤
The message I heard today is regarding situational awareness on a deeper level which requires courage and patience to do so. That and knowing that the law is setup for penalty of one who can not govern one’s self. Amen brother Dwayne. Thank you 🙏
One time when i was in my mid 20s, i was staying overnight with my girlfriend in a house with 1 other roomate girl. I couldnt sleep and was downstairs at 2 am while my gf was asleep. Out of nowhere the other girl came downstairs crying in her underwear saying that she had just been raped. My protector instincts took hold, and even though i barely knew her, i was ready to defend her against whatever monster came down those stairs in the next moment, which he did. There was a standoff. I assessed the situation as best i could and decided to protect her and tell him to leave now and never come back. He did. That wasnt the last time i had to deal with a situation like that.. but each time i became more familiar with that well you speak of.. and you are absolutely right.. im not afraid of any law, or any person, or any consequences other than living with myself and god knowing if i did or did not do the right thing. Its an awakening, and these moments show who you really are. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and eloquently putting it into words. There is nothing i wouldnt do to protect my loved ones.
Doing the right thing will always be hard, scary and potentially dangerous. Having looked down that deep well to face your inner coward once does not necessarily mean that you'll be able to do it again, which is why it's important to keep challenging yourself to face that part of you that craves comfort and security by doing things that scare you.
I know it’s said a lot but it’s really true that your timing with each subject seems to perfectly match my current situation it’s crazy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom with us and I look forward to your book!
Hey, I’m an AEMT and I’m currently in paramedic school. One thing that I’ve had to come to deal with is the fact that the decisions I make now truly have the power to either kill or save someone. Sometimes the decisions I make can even effect my own safety. He’s so right in the fact that in order to do what is right you have to push through and make the decision that isn’t always the easy way out. Thanks for the wisdom, it’s really helping me understand the weight of some of the decisions I have to make now.
I know exactly what you mean Dwayne. 20 years law enforcement I totally get what you say. Retirement at the end of the year. Can’t wait. Great channel. Jonathan 🇬🇧
It seems that nowadays the laws aren't there for the lawless, but for the righteous. Like you said, if you need the law to tell you how to live, something is seriously wrong. I fear a lot of people are going to have run ins with the law one day because technology raised them. The more 'advanced' we've become technologically, the more regressed we've become morally. Keep up the good work.
Honestly Dwayne. This video was a shock to my system. It was frightening to look down the well and ask myself these questions. At first, I was mad. Then I really got to asking myself all these questions. As God is my witness, I realized that I am willing to defend my loved ones at any cost. My parents. My sisters. My woman. I hope to God that I never do have to take a life or sacrifice my life or freedom. I hope none of these horrible things happen. Thank you for making me face my inner self. I realize today that I am a strong man.
I’ve gone through this thought process multiple times as a lifeguard. I’ve always been scared of accurately judging a situation and not knowing if my survival is close to 100% if I were to go save a drowner. There are some situations that I’ve heard which made me question my morals if I were to be put into that situation.
The moment on the stairs is what is called a Torweg or Gateway. Only you can go through it, nobody else. Everyone can comment on it and discuss it but to stand in it is only for you and you alone. Respect to you for having that introspection and epiphany. It is a constituent part of being a mature man.
Nice vid as always! As Mark Twain said: ‘It's not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog. ' Keep repeating this to myself when something sketchy needs to be done
I often ponder to myself there is a crucial missing link i miss that i need for a committed relationship. This is one of em, the "they deserve your readiness to stake when it counts". thank you for the lesson.
Impeccable timing, sir. Not sure what compelled me to click your video just minutes after deciding it was time to euthanize a beloved animal. My husband offered to take care of it for me, because he is a good man. But she is mine, has been since the moment she was born, so she is mine to give mercy to, no matter how hard that is to do. This was a good teminder to us women - just because our men are willing to do the hard jobs, that doesn't mean we aren't without responsibility.
I ve been stuck in the confort zone for too long currently 22 yo, missed some opportunities fuck. Wish I had my dad back to get me on the right path and keep going.
I’m in the same situation too. I’m 24 years old and I am just about to apply for a job after 2 years of unemployment ever since dropping out of college. I didn’t goof around or anything, but I must say I have been very irresponsible from age 22-24, not having a job, borrowing money from my family etc. I never learned how to transition from boyhood to manhood really, until I finally realized that I have to detach from my mom and not seek her approval or permission to do stuff, so I started doing things by my own, as you should as a grown man. I learned that you need to be self-reliant and independent as a young man at age 24. The only mistake I made, because no one gave me the ultimatum or instilled fear in me, was not saving money since dropping out. My mom did advice me to get a job last year, but I refused to listen, bad call on my part. I did things without thinking about the consequences. Do I regret my choices, not really, because I have learned a lot of life lessons and gained experience from my mistakes, but I am very disappointed with myself for being irresponsible with money and not having a source of income and saving money. So, for any of you guys out there who are lost and confused, my story should be a wake up call. If you decide to venture to the unknown and take risks, do it…but do it carefully. Always think about the potential consequences whenever you have to make hard decisions in life, always, no if’s, ands or but’s.
You're like the father, grandfather I never had, and I'm older than you, LOL. Love what you bring to society. You are helping me to be a better man. Thank you Duane

Always appreciate the sage wisdom. This was a heavy one, but one a LOT of people need to hear. One thing I might add...you don't have to like it; confrontation, doing the hard things that need to be done, its not usually pleasant. But you have to know, when push comes to shove, what kind of man you are.
You are 100% correct. Few people have the common sense to express these views or the personal integrity to express them. I would be proud to call you friend. God Bless you!
DeWayne, I'm a 56 year old Pastor, who's also an Army vet, and I agree. Biblically speaking a gentle man is a man who can control himself, but is still a dangerous man under the right conditions. That being said, if someone were to try to harm my elderly mother, or 30 year old son, or my grandchildren in any way, what I would be willing to do to defend my loved ones would make Hitler look like a choir boy, and I wouldn't regret it, because the Lord knows my heart. Sometimes life demands that good, gentle people stand up and defend themselves or their loved ones with extreme violence, we live in an evil world.
I appreciate your openness. The men in America need to hear more content like this. I’m headed for Cody tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I’m not looking forward to the cold that you and my parents live in out there -especially when it’s suppose to be 20-30 ! I will be wearing my Dry Creek shirt at the airport from SFO to Billings, Montana. Let’s see if anyone recognizes the shirt. Happy Thanksgiving DeWayne and friends.
Great message today. You and I think alike regarding this topic. I have been dangerous for many years. People always say i have a good heart, but they dont know what runs deep in my heart. I am not evil. I have just drawn a line that cant be crossed without repercussions.
Thank you. You are setting me up for my future success. Words cannot describe how much I look up to you. Have a blessed day. -20 Yr old struggling in STEM field, while trying to build my future.
Dewayne, I've stewed on this video for the better part of a day before making a comment. I'd like to voice my vehement appreciation for your words, for sharing your wisdom and your heart with us. I've felt for a long time like an island in a sea of weakness, the waves eroding at my shores day by day. Tempted to make the easy wrong, instead of the hard right. I know I'm capable of confronting difficulty head-on, but this helps to reaffirm my willingness to do so. I hope for the best for you and yours this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whatever pushback you may receive, know that these videos are helping folks understand and make better choices--that's something we can all use more of in the world.
Thank you so much Mr. Noel. You have inspired me to read more, smoke cigars 😂 and overall become a better man for myself and my family. Lot's of love from Denmark ❤
Thank you for sharing the truths that my Dad raised me in. He was a WW2 Marine vet and had seen the elephant more than once. We need truth tellers like you. God be with you and yours.

Just because you make people think, and evaluate themselves!!! Thank You. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and all the folks right here!!!!
Well said brother. I’m glad I’ve found you. You speak about things that matter. Veteran with four tours and brother your review of this situation has been felt by many but never better explained.
I'm going to miss these fireside chats when I go overseas, but today's message also is a little bit of an inspiration for the hard things. I look forward to listening to you more when I get back. I've got quite a few of your little chats saved and when I get back I'll hopefully with the work put it be a smarter, more fit, more tan, and more dangerous man. Even have some more money when I get back to boot. Cheers, and many thanks regardless of outcomes.

Hey Dewaine. I can relate to the moment ur talking about. It hit me right in the heart. Many years ago out of me being a lazy F. I would go to an interview for a job and stop on my way there , terrified. I had zero confidence. I even once stopped right by the door of the building ! I later changed things around and the minute I went for my first interview my confidence started to build. I stopped smoking cold Turkey. I let go of many I used to consider “friends”. I bought a property. I became a F man

I am glad you talked about these sort of things. I know of people who say they're dangerous but when they're put in confrontation psychical of course 9 times outta 10 they won't fight. My mindset is if you are a real threat to me or my family, I will not hesitate to take your life even if it costs me jail time or prison, I do not care as long as the people who are dear to me are safe. Though I don't look tough, mighty or look like I have worked out I'm still dangerously strong in the event that something happens and since I have matured in many ways more than one, though my family can drive me crazy I'll still lay down my life not to be a hero but because that is what a man needs to do. I don't know if you will read this and I cannot force you, I just hope you read this!
My name is Addison and I'm from a small town Alabama and I just needed to say Thank you so much for this. I'm going through a break up and decided to come listen to you and this is first video that I watch and this is really speaking to me. I am forever grateful for these videos and your wisdom.
This talk isn’t just about men… it is a good talk … many times as a women I have been in positions in which in bad health and old but had to push forward and do the job set before me. Also paid the price for that work. Still the satisfaction came from meeting the responsible item that was set before me.
That is one of my favorite videos so far of yours. It is disgusting. The amount of people who put themselves first these days. Things I would’ve never imagined I would see I’m seeing almost daily. My dad raised nine boys to all be respectful and strong world helpful gentleman, I cannot imagine where this world is headed but I loved your video. Thank you.
As a former law enforcement officer in the small town of Dover Tennessee, I can relate 100 percent to what you just described. We work with what we are dealt at that moment
"I don't live my life based on the judicial system." and "If you need the law to tell you what not to do, then you are missing a really big, important part of you." 100%, straight facts!
While solo traveling I almost got mugged by a group of 8. They were standing around me in a semi circle, two steps away and there was a sort of standoff. One looked sideways for witnesses, the others looked me up and down and reached into their pockets (presumably for knives). Body language wise, I saw who was going to make the first move if it came to it and I was fully ready to stab and kill him if he did. 1 Vs 8, you're not going to win, but I wouldn't have been able to look myself in the mirror had I not stood my ground. It's a strange feeling, but you know what you're capable off after getting into a situation like that.
I can’t love this enough. I find myself preparing for situations all the time, that way the time to make a decision doesn’t effect the outcome if the need arises.
When you were talking about how a wife deserves a man who would give up any and everything to protect her and her well being, I could almost hear a bunch of men I know growling about how their woman isn’t worth opening the door for. I honestly am sorry for those men, whether the blame truly does lie with their spouse, or it lies with them. Either way, it’s a shame. If you’re not willing to give everything up for her, figure it out. You probably shouldn’t have married her, but you did, so it’s your job and responsibility to be her protector. And it goes without saying about your children. I would do whatever needs doing for my wife and kids.
Man, that part about being in a life-or-death situation really hits hard. I worked security services for 6 years, and honestly it still shocks me how quickly things can go to shit. Your survival instincts kick in and it’s all about staying alive no matter what. One minute everything’s just fine, and the next somebody’s about to die unless you get your shit together even if you yourself are terrified. Many people never experience what being in real danger feels like, but for those who’ve been in enough of those “holy shit, I could actually die here today” moments, it’s a scary experience.
This is so serious and relevant and significant and I was so immersed and actively listening cuz it's information that I'd pay for. Then all of a sudden he says "that's kinda small potatoes" 😂 I've never heard that and for some reason it just snapped me out of it and made me laugh really hard
I really appreciate your take on this, mine has always been that if I saw a situation that I felt needed taken care of I would take the fight/struggle regardless of if I thought I could win or not. If we want to keep our home safe we need to be willing to do what is needed. That said I try to stack the deck in my favor (no such thing as a fair fight in the real world) when possible. Keep it real brother I really like hearing the challenging thoughts you put out there!
Ex law enforcement in Ireland, 19 years and contemplating going back in after working private sector for 3 years. I have been in this position before, unarmed, only cop in the town, no back up for miles and attending domestics. Knowing I’ve lost colleagues in exactly same situation, I’ve always entered and thankfully always walked out alive. My only concern going back to it in my early 40’s is that split second will become seconds and then that hesitation will get myself really hurt. Not doing my job effectively. That situation will get myself really hurt and I am really on the fence with returning to law enforcement as a result. This was great video Dwayne and amazing how if fits into my own life and it’s decisions. Thank you 🙏

For now.
“If I had access to a squad of marines, let’s go boys!”😂😂 Another classic line. Great video.
Loved it 😂
I lost my grandpa in October of 2023 and I've lived with him for quite a long time.
Thank you for your selfless service Sir ! We need more of Men like you and Dewayne !
Re: character
I've read somewhere that your character is what you do when you know nobody's looking. Or words to that effect.
As a woman grateful for men like you willing to do this. I believe it’s about balance. Being equal does not mean being all the same.
What does he mean when saying I would die for you is small potatoes when he thinks that a man should die for his family (which I agree with)
@sk1zzy337 any one can die. Everyone will die. To give your life for someone is one thing, but taking a life to protect them is a much bigger thing.
@@DryCreekWranglerSchool thank you
“You are what you do when nobody is looking”
I heard from a wise man saying, "If you're not willing to lay your life for your family(meaning to protect your wife and children knowing it will harm or kill you by doing so), you do not deserve any."
Courage=Doing it anyway inspite of the danger that lays ahead.
Theres a saying i think by abraham lincoln people who trade freedom for security deserve neither
I concur 150% If I may.@@jeffrey6618
Fear doesn't just come out from no where you know
I want to thank you for making these videos.
I can totally relate to that situation. There is always someone out there sharing the same experience. Keep on improving
you're awesome and i love you and you're great and please share your greatness with the world because it would be such a gift. toodles!

And a good time for many to hear it.
I just screenshot it that message. Thank you

So very true .well said !!
This is a very good point Paul
Well stated.
I once had a small dog that terrorised much bigger dogs when it came down to fighting.
The fact that you recognize it is most of the battle now you can make the changes. Good luck son.
Don't worry man, 22 is still very very young. You've got plenty of time to improve and take opportunities.
You can still make your dad proud
He is proud of you always. Take your time but not too long. There is never “a best time” to start something, just start and stay disciplined.

I became a F man
I know that is not a big moment as yours but it what led to that that I was trying to overcome.

The truth always hits home. Thank you for your thoughts and taking the time to put them up on youtube for us to learn from.
I love cat videos! That aside, there is an incredibly important message here I hear more often. Courage isn't always an easy thing.
Courage is not easy. If it seems easy, it might just be crossing the line into foolishness.

"I don't live my life based on the judicial system." and "If you need the law to tell you what not to do, then you are missing a really big, important part of you."
100%, straight facts!
Mr. Dewayne you remind me of my grandfather who is passed away. You are a true American hero sir & the answer that is needed in today’s society.
Always appreciate your talks. A lot of us are sitting back not realizing the time has come to protect our wives and lives.
Thank you for being a constant voice of reason in this every changing crazy world we live in. Sending love and appreciation from Tennessee!
Wise, words and a talk for those to understand sacrifice.
Thank you 🙏
As a child who was on the otherside of that door waiting on some one to save me.
I vowed to always open the door the day it wasn't for me. My inner child will always hold my accountable.
Ive watched like 40 of your videos, first time i find out that you were a cop, this explains a lot. Now i know why you are so wise.
Really like your videos keep them up
By Jove, the sudden appearance of that mammoth cigar shocked me at 1:50 Heheheh... you could heat a home with that thing!
Funny timing. I'm 49 and thinking after next oil field layoffs going back into law enforcement
